Those of us who actually make soap fully understand what you are saying. Or at least I do. Top that with, like you said, shooting, buying video equipment, editing, uploading, adding this and that to make it a great looking video, all takes valuable time. Like they say, time is money. You are absolutely correct, Royalty soaps only gives one recipe. I highly doubt that one recipe is all she has. Different designs need certain oils to give you time to make them. The recipe for the frosting most often is not the recipe for the bars. I am new to your channel and I commented on another post where you ASKED people if they thought it was a good idea to charge for your recipes. It was a resounding YES from me! I paid a subscription in full for a year to another soap maker who also does videos on RUclips. She touted that you get SO MUCH MORE when you subscribe. That was not the case. The sites copyright is from 2017, which tells me these are very old recipes or no one has bothered to do any updates. So where is the new content? Most of the recipes don't even have videos attached. I would scroll through all the lovely pictures on her site trying to decide which recipe I wanted only to find that there was no recipe and no video, only a picture?! Of course no one has ever gotten back to me with regard to these problems. Sorry to make this so long but people need to know what else is out there as opposed to what you offer. First of all you offer truth and very good tips & tricks, which proves you care about your subscribers and are NOT just out to get a check from RUclips. This is your business. I'm sure anyone who has issue with you charging for your recipes, your hard work, would be very upset if they worked for a week and was told 'Sorry no check for you!' Anyway, I love your videos and fully support your decision to expand your business while helping soapers. (^o^)
Thanks for the great feedback, Gwen! That is exactly why I don't want to go the Patreon route. I don't have time to give extras, and I can't even guarantee regular videos, so this way, if someone wants to contribute, they can just buy a recipe. Thank you for letting me know about your experience, Gwen. 💕🌳
I'm just learning about soap making during the Covid days and as a chef and pastry chef I really enjoy and appreciate they way you work. It's all about your planning and the super clean way you work. And factoring in the creativity, I really love watching these. Thanks
Such a beautiful bar of soap! I learn so much from listening to your tips and instructions. I have a tip for those of us who are math challenged. If you have Alexa or Siri just say, “ Hey, Alexa. What is 8% of 2 pounds?.” She will happily tell you!
Teri, I LOVE this design! It’s elegantly simple (simply elegant?). And I love the idea of using secondary colors only. Glad you have taken the time you needed to regroup. I always look forward to your videos and revisit previous ones often. Thanx for sharing your expertise and tips! Be safe.
Thank you so much, Debbie! It's good to be back! When I was a floral designer. I loved making arrangements with secondary colors. The combo was gorgeous! 💜💚🧡
Holy Moly the bag in the bottle trick is a game changer!! I've spent WAY to much time trying to clean my bottles after doing this pour HAHA or usually just end up buying new one every time, Thank you thank you thank you :)
I really enjoy your videos. You have a very soothing voice but as others have said when you mentioned skydiving it took me for a loop (no bun intended). Please keep making videos you are quite an artist!!! I hope you and your family are well!!!
I just wanna thank you so much for the inspiration you being into my studio in Portugal! I love the way calminha and relaxing you explain every step to a beautiful and piece of art we get in the end.
So happy to see you back and glad you are well again. I used to scuba dive and heard the same thing, "Plan your dive and dive your plan" Very good advice! God bless.
@@TreeMarieSoapworks yes, and one of the most helpful tips in the video is taking the soap from emulsification to very light trace. The tip about looking at the bell of the stick blender for a thin unbroken coat to confirm emulsification was great. Even more helpful - and I'll try it today....is how to get from emulsification to very light trace. Ive had difficulty with that, and so your instruction on that is priceless. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for your videos. I love that you tell us what you learned. I’m going to be teaching a soap making class for a small homeschool group. I will be sending them to your videos. ❤
It's such a simple, yet dramatic effect!! I do love the color palette with the secondary colors - very Spring-like! You always do an excellent job of planning out your designs! Your motto should be "Plan the Soap and Soap the Plan"! 😀
I don't make soaps but just love watching the videos to relax. Love the colors and textures of the different soaps and seeing the finished products at the end! Very satisfying and calming!
I’m so glad you’re back!!! I’ve missed your soaps and your voice-overs! Loving these secondary colors! I can’t stop using exclamation points!!! AhhHhHhHhhH!!! 💗
Tree Marie Soapworks I do like the first ones (Red, green, purple if I’m not wrong?) but the orange makes it a perfect balance. Plus, like you mentioned, they’re Halloween colors! 🎃👻 I can imagine other combinations such as pastel pink/blue/purple or a spring themed pastel green/yellow/blue/pink. I feel I have way too many soap ideas for someone who doesn’t make it. 😅💕
The soap came out just gorgeous! I love the colours and everything about it. Thank you for all your wonderful and helpful tutorials. I learn so much from you. 💕
The lard does have Beta Hydroxy Acid, which is good for skin in most cases. I have many recipes that I use though. They don't all contain lard. Sorry you are allergic. 💕
Welcome back! Enjoy your time with your family. I actually do like the color pallet better in your second batch, and I love that the purple drop is larger than the other two. It adds interest; beautiful, simple soap.
This is a great minimal design. I could see it with either a soft gray with white teardrops and white design on top, or even a watermelon color scheme for summer 🍉
LOL, I have thought that gray and white would be pretty too. Making it look like a watermelon it a great idea! There are so many possibilities with this technique! 💧
You are an amazing teacher! I am learning so much from you, definitely going to do this today....your colours are lovely, your soaps are beautiful....Thankyou so much, love your channel. Be safe x
I’ve been making soap for a few years - I love watching your videos - but certainly see how I’m a much different type of soaper. I have a basic idea of what I want to do - but don’t plan out in as much detail, and let the soap do more of it’s own thing organically. I love cutting the soap the next day to see how it turns out. I love mostly swirl techniques where the amount of swirl often depends on how much the soap batter has thickened before I pour it in the mold - so I can make the same soap 3 x and every one is different. I also find varying fragrance makes a huge difference in colour and batter thickness. Love your work!
