Was searching for "2018 civic trunk lid water" and found this video. Found it very useful, as I could see where water could maybe pool inside the lid, like where it's dark under the removed panel (i.e. 1:35). I talked to a dealer, and he said my problem is fairly common, and shouldn't impact any of the electronics. For my problem, the water drains to the side when I lift the trunk lid, just beyond the seal, so that it doesn't get into my trunk. Did your backup camera just die, or did something happen to it? Thanks for posting this!

Nah, neither. No water or dead camera. We tried using the factory camera for an aftermarket radio and it didnt last. So I swapped it for an aftermarket one and kept it looking factory. That and I like taking ish apart. 🤣🤣. Sorry to hear about your water issue. Did you get it resolved?

@@richideates no, one of the Honda dealer service departments just said it was common, but that it didn't really impact anything, so I'm just trusting them for now. Electronics are working for now. 4 year extended warranty if anything breaks I suppose.

Does that warranty include the electronics? I would double check that. Some salesman say they do, but the insurance company says otherwise. I have personally seen that.
