A variant is NOT a different strain; and variants of an original strain are usually weaker, less problematic, and less threatening. The fear-mongering, etc. over the past 4 years will never be forgotten.

There is no way to test variants or even tell the difrence between the common cold it's all nonsense
First, fhere's no way you know what variant you had, you can only assume. I ran almost 105° fever the first day and was sick for almost 10. Just like the flu or any other illness, It hits everyone differently.

Most people I know who have had covid recently have had it much milder than in the past. Illnesses just tend to go up when more people are indoors such as the winter. The same thing with the flu. You can obviously get it anytime of year but it surges in the winter.
I wouldn't have even thought I had COVID if I hadn't gotten a test. It was basically a runny nose.

Got it right now. Tested positive this morning. Since yesterday, mild fever, slight body aches, typical flu symptoms. Now my nose has blocked and my chest feels tight. During the day I can manage but it gets worse at night. I dont feel great by any means but all this scare mongering is way over the top. I had the flu worse in 2004. Sometimes like any illness you get it worse than other times.

I have it now. I'm on day 3. Started off AWFUL for me (i got up to 104.6 and went to the ER) The second day was a little better. Fever sat around 102 with lots of coughing, aches and nose stuff. So far today, if mostly feels like a nasty cold worh a few extra aches.
It's not fun by Any means, but so far, it's gotten a little better each day.
I had the same high fevers. High 102’s were the norm for around 4 days. Ibuprofen didn’t work on them either. The low grade fevers stopped completely on day 7.

I have this new strain right now and I’m REALLY ill and debating going to hospital today. My lungs are in horrible condition. I managed for 3 years not to get Covid so this strain must be very contagious 😷

@@nykidd3423 If I didn’t know better, it seems like we can be affected by the same strain over and over again, as if our bodies never develop an immunity to it. Either that, or, there’s just a lot of highly transmissible strains out there that we’re not being told about.

Yea just got Covid for the first time. It was mild. The first couple days before I tested positive were the worst. Bad headache that made me feel delirious. After that just like the flu. I had 3 vaccinations plus boosters. As soon as permitted I will get the latest vaccine.
I caught this two weeks ago - I never catch anything. It quickly spread to everyone I was around also. Literally EVERYONE around me got it. I'm totally fine but a few people I knew got their butt kicked by it!!
