Let me just say I’m am loving watching these post marriage vlogs. It reminds me of my relationship with my parents. I’m a bit older but very close to my parents and do spend a lot of time with them. @@blasiomuhinda5913 I’ve been where these women are and also understand your question… the hardest part a lot of times is that marriages CAN be healed and the issues don’t have to be terrible but if both partners aren’t working toward the same thing it like her dad said, 50, 60 years of pain isn’t worth it. If both spouses truly want it to work IT CAN even in bad situations. In mine even with some pretty bad issues I was willing to try and my ex simply wasn’t!

I love the Joyce Meyer podcast/RUclips platform called, “Talk it Out”. If you are not familiar they have a panel of several ladies and sometimes Joyce. They are different ages and have different life situations. They talk it out by primarily sharing personal stories of what they are working through or have worked through in the past with an emphasis of we are a work in progress continually learning as life stages change and new situations present themselves.

The conversation that you had with your parents hit hard. I LOVE that your parents are supportive. Although I took initiative to end the relationship bcz there was cheating, verbal abuse and towards the end physical abuse my parents pointed fingers at me. It was my fault, I didn’t work hard enough, am not thinking about our kids. and they tried to get us back together. They made me feel horrible for leaving my ex. I wish they would have been understanding because I had no one to lean on for the most part. It was just me and my kids. Oh wow. I have incredible parents and while my marriage is in a rough patch (2 years of financial exhaustion + being first time parents to a 15 month old) we're ok. Still, your parents' messages made me cry. I think mostly because there are so many people who don't have support and it made me emotional to think that my daughter could go through a season like this. The reality is that most people experience a hard break up in their life and it hit me like a truck that she could experience this. Woah, taking in what your parents say and storing it away

As a long time married person who was widowed, yes I take marriage very seriously, but when cases of cheating, abuse, drugs, disrespect or even guy walking, divorcing is not even leaving a marriage. It's having a healthy marriage taken from you. I could never expect, or want my kids, to have that as their life to appease me. No one can have a marriage if it is not mutual with both doing their part to build a happy healthy safe life with a solid future. No one can continue a marriage in those situations because there is no healthy marriage on which to hold. What is the option? Starting a family giving children an unsafe, unhealthy role model and childhood. No parent should want that for future innocent grandchildren just to appease what they wanted for their child's life so if a situation like that, no supporting one's children is actually abusive, setting them up for future abuse and disrespect. Our kids' adult lives are not about or for us so it's not about what we want, but what they want and need, as well as life situations they must navigate.

It is awesome that you have your parents' support. I love what your parents said. I received very strong support from my parents, but also from my minister at church when I was a young person going through a divorce. He reminded me that just because someone else broke their vows to me does not mean I broke my marriage vows, even though I was going through a divorce. That made me feel so much better at the time, and now I am reminded of that support and how that lifted me up so that I could move forward in my life and in my relationships. Thank you for reminding people that we can talk about marriage, divorce, changes in life and not be judged even if we are in different places in life, but we can all support each other in whatever "season of life" we find ourselves.

Michel, I am happy to hear that you are no longer hoping for a reunion with Brook. Mainly because I feel that he was not a good person for you. I feel that you are way above him in so many areas. I know that you admired his ability to not people please, but keep in mind that there is a difference between someone who doesn't allow peoples opinions affect his opinion of himself and someone who is willing to listen to peoples input or feedback of something he is doing or how he is behaving. My observation of him, although limited, was that he appeared very selfish, and also quite apathetic to what others felt. I truly believe that God has someone so much better in mind for you, and you will see that you will not have to settle for someone who takes you and your beauty for granted. I promise you, Brook is the one who is missing out, and who let you get away, not the other way around.

It is so very kind of your sweet parent to extend kindness and warmth. It is amazing! I don’t have supportive parents so this warms my heart like no other. Thank you so much! 💗🥰

I love your family so much!!!! I've thought this for years but like, I always wanted and felt you belonged in Texas and always prayed you may end up there again, sad it is for sad reasons but I can't help but think this is where you are meant to be in life and back with your amazing family and all the memories you are making with them and that makes my heart so so happy for you to be on this path in that type of way! many prayers for a bright future and the love with your family and friends will carry you though as well as the lord will guide you in your new journey of life!

I love that you spent New Years with your parents playing board games. They are so supportive. You should let your feelings unravel and once the pain fades, there is joy. Enjoy this season in your life. It isn’t just about the loss of your marriage; your home…it’s also your new beginning of living your best life for you! Honor your heart.

I went through a divorce after almost 4 years of marriage. I was so relieved when I finally told my parents that my ex-h and I were having issues (he was deployed). He cheated on me, and continued to cheat on his next partner.
I’ve now been married for almost 15 years to a great guy who taught me what love really is. It’s out there!
Kudos to your parents, it’s so nice to have supportive parents. I was truly blessed with mine.

Happy new year!! Also, the topic of brain dump is funny because I don't really thunk of them as lists lately although I have kinda put them like lists with things I want to look up, but... put in feeling too and random opinions and I swear more things with come out of your subconscious that are needed than just writing what is on the normal to do. If that makes sense. I just recently have done my first real two page Spread in a journal labeled brain dump and I felt the more freedom to put it down without restrictions that more I got out of it.

I completely relate to you “not trusting life” lately. I have had a black cloud over my head with so many things happening in my life as well as my family members. It seems like everything I touch turn complicated. Happy new year to you, may it be a great year for you!

Michel your channel popped into my feed the other day, I was so impressed with you, your beautiful both inside and out. Your parents are amazing, your mom is so charming.I know you realize just how fortunate you are for their love and support..You are the same age as my eldest daughter and I have sent your link to both of my daughters..You are a lovely example for other young women to follow.I too went through a divorce from my girls father,we were childhood sweethearts,I want you to know, when you receive your decree, it will be a very difficult day. I don't think anyone ever told me that and I wish they had. I will be praying for you, and look forward to your thrifting and antiquing vlogs..Kae~

FYI when dogs have blood in their stool it could be just irritation of their bowels and it's quite common (I have 4 dogs) to save money always wait at least 12hrs before taking him to the vet, especially the emergency vet, they are very expensive

My advice to you, after everything your parents conveyed was to be of similar political beliefs. Years ago it may not have been a big issue in a relationship, but in today's world it is of utmost importance for a happy marriage. Just my two cents!

New subscriber here. Your parents are amazing and so are you. I'm a pet lover and I feel the same way when my animals are sick. I'm curious how you feel about cats. I highly suggest getting a Maine Coon after having had rescue cats on my life. They are considered gentle Giants and are extremely affectionate, great with dogs and children. We rescued one and she quickly became my son's therapy pet. So We rescued another. I always feel better knowing we have multiple pets to turn to to nurture and comfort, that way if something happens to one of them we still have one that we are bonded to. Keep taking good care of yourself
