Still strong still today.

Dunno if anyone pointed this out but what if Toph just sunk herself underground completely out of azula's sight? Toph did that during the Ba Sing Se invasion.
I think it would be better if toph sunk both her and azula so azula can't use her agility, which is her strong suit
It's like silencing someone because they are so powerful.
She could stay underground and still track azula
And why Toph didn't sunk under when the serpent attacked them ?
Jelay Gaga you mean it serpents pass where they were on Katara’s ice pillar?
One of the badly written things of the series is the fact that Aang couldn't run fast enough to catch Azula during the eclipse. Aang has shown an insane speed thanks to his airbending multiple times prior to that moment.
I MP i mean there’s a difference between having fun and being serious.😂 those moments when aang and sokka were running was cuz of fear or some goody moments
Wow! I miss seeing those scenes again 😭
Dame Dolla agree he has speeds and could be possibly cause to be a bad on why he cant catch azula at the time
Maybe he did not want to catch her? Aang prefers to avoid fights and I really don't see him running towards one.

Grammar is teachable and can be improved, attitude isn't
Very true
"Badass Melon lord v.s Girl on crack who can bend lightning"
if u count the comics azula stops using crack and then fricking destroys everyone she sees
Azula is way too nimble. As much as I want toph to win I don't think it's possible.
Michael Lee azula could beat Deadpool
@Lance Keith If Toph covers herself in a cloud of dust, like she did with the earthbenders, azula can't see her and would lose her main fighting style: precise and focused strikes. In the meantime, Toph could spray and pray if Azula was in the air the whole time.
@Lance Keith Lightning moves quicker than sound though. Hence why lightning comes way before thunder.
i think in LOK toph would win
@@MrNubshow well, not in the avatar universe, since zuko would have been shot by ozai if the lighting did go that fast
So Azula loses to Kuvira who ties with Toph who loses to Azula.
No sarcasm, that's actually quite interesting.
Kuvira is an Earth bender (Toph is super effective against those)
A > B > C logic almost never works.

Voix On the contrary, unless there is something specific that let's one win, it's almost always like that.

Metal shoes...
“Toph has not yet mastered metal bending” you mean young Toph? Adult Toph could probably crumble a whole fire nation battle ship into a metal ball
Considering the entire video talks about one iteration of Toph ...
she can even lava bend
Yeah I agree with you, Adult Toph would slap Azula around like a child. This video is about both of them in their teens, but if we compared both of them in their individual primes Toph walks away with this one no problem IMO.
@@yyunos um no shr cant but ok
@@craigarthur7599 Do we have an idea what a prime Azula could do though?
Azula would have a greater advantage with fire bending against a melt suit, because of her naturally hotter fire and thus through conduction of heat, not electricity, that would ultimately counter a melt suit
Based off what blue fire? well, it depends on what turns the fire blue. Its true sometimes flames that burn blue are hotter but, it also depends on what you're burning.
yeah but I would assume it is hotter (Antoine has said the same in multiple other videos, and I believe it was in Avatar extras). But still the heat would kill Toph before the lightning
Mitch O'Brien depends on the type of metal used.
AngelBird
We know that Azula's fire actually hotter is, you can see how it turns orange after cooling down in "The Chase" for example. And one of the showwriters confirmed it in the Avatar Extras(you can find them all as Note in the wikia).

@@genghiskahn1989 it's a meme the name melon let's is from book 3 or 2 where toph pretends she's ozai
Azula would burn Toph feet along with having a flying advantage via flame jets. She can also conjure lightning instantaneously, which will be hard to dodge mid-air because of her blindness.
I get it
Just like Zuko unintentionally did.😅
But she doesn’t know that she sees with her feet
Daniel D. She would probably figure it out somehow because she knows toph is blind
@@NarutoUchiha-lb8zq she would figure it out in a second. the girl is a genius. how else would a blind girl fight so good?
If zuko can accidentally burn tophs feet, imagine what Azula can do.
Exactly
(Sorry for my comment's fails because im french'schooler(?) )toph want not to atack zuko so we dont take that in ours reflexion.
Toph wasnt expecting Zuko to attack her, he caught her off guard, it would be different in an actual fight
@@gjhc1990 ? Can you speak with a lower level of english please ?
The Name 1 basically: toph didn't want to hurt zuko, in a fight she would (hope its simple enough)
I’d also like to point out Ozai’s lightning was only when there was a little bit of the sun and it was far stronger than any of Azula’s lightning
As much as I like Toph (she's my favorite character in ATLA) Azula wins, all the way. She's physically powerful, cunning, and very quick. Plus she could use fire as jets so Toph can't sense her. I think you should do Asami vs Suki next. Oh and in the Rift when Toph hit Aang with the rock, I think it was because Aang was talking. Toph seemed to have extremely good hearing, she was able to hear people from the bottom of the mountain in "the Puppetmaster." I thought fire blooms such as Azula's would be able to be heard.
Avatar Korra Yeah, I think Azula takes it. She's a genius, been trained since childhood for battle, and highly skilled. Toph definitely could win but Azula is more likely the winner, give Toph a handful of years to mature, grow stronger, and more experienced (remember, Toph is only like 12 during the series) and I don't know.
however. toph will be able to incase herself in rock ormetal to guard herself, and with the ability to bend still, can incase azula, so she isn't able to bend. top can feel her steps. before she makes a step. she's trapped...
Aaron D Not necessarily, don't forget hiw swift Azula is. Remember in this fight the two are in their teenage years. Toph is a powerful bender, and her seismic sense does help but I'm sure Azula would be able to dodge or even jump off one of Toph's attacks.
but even as a teenager , toph was bending metal , remember, the fight on the fire nation shit. she incase herself in metal. .
Aaron D Incased herself in metal, yes she did, but you're forgetting how powerful Azula is. Azula using her fire jets would render Toph's seismic sense useless even though she might be able to hear the fire jets she won't precisely know where. And even though, although difficult, Toph will be in metal armor Azula could shoot lightning which (for some reason) would shock Toph an maybe even kill her (even though it's obvious that the Avatarverse doesn't follow the same rules as this world, like Antoine said). Toph has a chance, she might win, she is a powerful bender that's for sure but Azula is a master at her own element, she's a prodigy as is Toph. But imo I see more of a chance of Azula winning especially since she's OK with taking a life. Which I'm not too sure Toph is ok with.
No one is gonna mention the fact that if Toph covered herself in mental armor, all she’d be doing is building an oven for Azula to heat her up in with her flames?
And covering herself in metal isn't going to help much against lightning.
@@dylandeosingh02 No? Why? This is the same as a faraday cage.
Lightning?
Azula beats younger Toph. Adult Toph is a different story . I absolutely love and adore Toph, but I agree with this video, because he was referring to younger Toph.
Toph has been burnt before, so she would not let that happen again, Secondly, she would be patient and observant, if Azula uses fire bending she could hear it, when Azula flies you can hear the fire. The metal suit would only cook her when alot of heat would be thrown at it, and Toph wouldn't sit there and become fried chicken. ATLA Toph doesn't show her beating Azula unless she uses precision(trapping her hand against the wall),though Toph was a metal bender she wasn't advance as yet, in LOK we see a much better and advance Toph and one who can defend herself with air attacks, even lava. Adult Toph would slap Azula, as we know, Azula is in an asylum, but even if she was advanced Toph would still win. Toph is seen dodging and defending attacks from all 4 element bending by Korra.
Omeya Clarkson if azula wasn’t in the asylum, then azula would beat toph. azula would be in her prime aswell as toph, and azula is only gonna get stronger, so as toph.
If Azula takes to air, Toph can just raise a massive dustcloud, which would both help her sense Azula and block Azula's vision, effectively turning the tables on her. Azula also can't firebend or lightningbend as efficiently from air so she'd be at an even greater disadvantage.
@lo l And if that wasn't enough, Toph can still:
1. Just dodge the flames by hearing they are coming at her and counterattack Azula by hearing where the flame jet sound is coming from.
2. Go underground until Azula lands.
Seriously. Flying is definately not an option for Azula. Tbh, I don't see why it was brought up at all...
@@filipferencak2717 same the fire jets only add momentary flight. She has to get grounded at some point.
Ozai vs Azula pleeeeeeeaaaase. It's stated in the show that the deadliest fire bender in the show is Ozai, but he's never faced off against his daughter who could even beat him in an Agni-Kai if pushed to her limits. They would both play dirty so it would be an equal playing field.
Nick The Rajah ozai has no displays of combat besides with sozens comet, so it wouldn't work
Nick The Rajah Ozai would wreck Azula any day imo. Ozai is said to be likely stronger than Iroh and Iroh curbstomped Azula effortlessly in 2x01. Also when you look at both Ozai and Azula's display during the comet, although Azula does some impressive moves, Ozai's are on a whole other level. I imagine its about the same without the comet as well as far as skill and power difference between the two. Granted that is based on what has happened, its very possible Azula would of surpassed her father by adulthood.
Zaheer MeOut Well to be fair Azula is related to Avatar Roku who was naturally a firebending Avatar so yeah she propably surpassed him later on,same goes for Zuko
I don't think that's a good idea, Ozai is nigh featless without comet, and we just know a weakened less improved(insanity + in general weaker than in Smoke and Shadow. If i would need to guess, would i say Ozai was clearly stronger but Azula' s talent dwarfs Ozai's significantly(propably is even Zuko more talented, but that's harder to say). So she will surpass him very soon.
Zaheer MeOut
I agree with the comet part(although she was obviosly significantly weakened due to insanity, and is in general stronger in Smoke and Shadow, so she will probably surpass him relatively soon), but to use that one surprise attack of Iroh is nonsense, cause if we say curbstomped her there would we also need to say that she curbstomped him in "The Chase"(her attack had even much more effect). Let alone that Iroh has a completely different fight Ing style.
Not fair azula can fly, and toph can't see her. And i bet she can't sense fire or lightning attacks directed at her
But fire seems to be very loud so Toph would be able to hear her, just like she heard Aang in The Rift. this way she could defend against her, guessing the attacks coming from her and defending against them. True, she can't really do anything against the lightning once it came out, but the time Azula spends charging it would be enough for Toph to pin her down or at least get her out of balance. I think Antoine underestimates Tophs other senses (for example hearing), but he's right with the conclusion. in the end, Azula would outsmart Toph.
Toph would be just as disturbed as she was against Aang and only blind targeting could save her.
Brian S no she wouldn't
Antoine Bandele can you give me a list of the music you use in this video please?
Uhm well since when are fights fair, with that logic could Amon just fight with Avatars.
I honestly don't see Toph ever losing this fight, especially if she has access to metal.
Can we just appreciate how good azula looks in the thumbnail?
Azula always looks good, even in the sozin's comet
Azula is hot both figuratively and literally.
I'm getting the word
NONCE
Azula would out smart toph. Then She would win
Tobirama Senju could you bet Azula?
D'Kari Rollins of course my child
Azula would win for one simple reason. She would burn Toph's feet. From there the fight would be a downward spiral for Toph.
it's a 50/50 it all boils down to if she has metal cuffs like the soldiers do. it would be game over before it started if so. otherwise yeah she would win.
It's not really outsmarting when Toph can't do a thing about her blindness. It's simply unfortunate.
Azula is very powerful I don't really understand why Kuvira would win if she's ties with toph
Because Kuvira has specific advantages as a modern metal bender, particularly her metal sheets. Just as Azula has specific advantages over Toph.
Antoine Bandele
I actually don't think that Kuvira would win against Kemurikage Azula (too fast and too many improvements, I mean she owned Ty Lee and Suki together without bending for god's sake :), but i agree that she's a better Match up than Toph and would win against pre-insanity book 3 Azula imo.
Yes toph was the first metal bender but she just started she wasn't a pro pro metal bender so of course kuvira would win
Erik Silva
Huh do you mean against Toph?
With all due respect, but why do you think Kuvira would be able to hit Azula with metal projectiles before Azula hits her with lightning?
In S&S 3 she generated lightning in a fraction of a second - Mai threw a bunch of darts at her and she dodged and shoot a bolt at Mai as the darts were flying past her. This indicates she can generate electricity almost instantly.
Even if these superfast bolts are not powerful enough to be lethal they would still stun and briefly disorient Kuvira. And that's all Azula needs.
Even without her bending, the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros would never be ready for Azula.
Ah, that’s the crossover I’d watch. A sane (if damaged) fourteen-year-old Azula took Ba Sing Se down from the inside with backup from her two highly skilled but also teenaged friends. A sane, adult Azula could scheme circles around anyone in that world, even before they all lost half their IQs in season 8, not to mention the White Walkers.
@@edoboleyn you think she could scheme circles around Littlefinger and Varys? No way
@@anatoldenevers237 don't forget Euron Greyjoy.
Well, they literally thrive off manipulation, scheming and plotting, so yeah. Azula would be an utterly unstoppable juggernaut in ASOIAF.
At least until Euron Greyjoy shows up.
@@valtersplume3726 True. Book Euron is seeming like a White Walker level threat to the world, even beyond Westeros. He's terrifying.
Toph would have a very high chance if she could see. Someone put some spirit water on her eyes
No her being blind is her biggest strength and her biggest weakness, if you dont make her blind she wont be reliant on her seismic sense as she was before
At a younger age, Azula would totally win against Toph. We do see that Toph is actually very capable of contending against Korra using all 4 elements in Book 4 of LOK. She clearly became an even better fighter since she was able to anticipate air and fire attacks in a way she couldn't in TLA. But we don't know what Azula was like when she was older or even how long she lived for so her progression as a fighter is unknown. She had/has the potential to be one of the greatest firebenders of all time since she is the only one we've ever seen use blue fire. I think you gave a fair assessment based on what we know.
Speculation on my part, but I think a Police Chief Toph at prime would best Azula.
I'm inclined to agree but it does depend on that unknown part of Azula's life. I think prime Azula has the potential to surpass Iroh and Ozai given more time and experience.
Antoine Bandele agreed
Antoine Bandele
Do you mean prime Azula(which i would doubt if Azula lived long enough) or just pre-insanity to Kemurikage Azula(with which i 120% agree :)?
hyperdeath84
I know what Azula was most likely like when she got older.... completely insane in an asylum
Imagine if toph redirected azulas lightning with a metal sheet and encased it around azula and kill her, just like how P’li was killed.
Oh
I think that only works for combustion man
Young toph would lose. but adult toph, that would be a different story
Yh adult toph would destroy adult azula.
Adult Azula would be stronger than Ozay she would destroy toph grand mom easily
@@tigrefofo3853 Ozai was the most powerful firebender in histoire so no
@@tigrefofo3853 good one

A few thoughts on the metal suit: While electricity does indeed flow through the metal as you describe, you can't dismiss its effect on the occupant of the armor. With Toph in physical contact with the metal, the transfer of energy - both electrical and the resulting heating of the metal WILL injure her. Lightning is extremely hot and (as anyone who has seen Back to the Future), 1.21 gigawatts is no small amount of energy. Both the kinetic and heat energy transmitted to Toph's metal would be damaging, giving Azula an even greater chance of coming out on top in this fight.
Works differently in the avatar universe. Toph covered herself in metal when taking out the crew in the airship and it protected her from the heat. Idk what logic that is but it is what it is.
It hurts comparing your two fav charakters😥
You forgot to account for the power boost Toph gets in her Melon Lord form.
Toph wins as long as Azula is on the ground. She simply opens the earth and swallows her. Game over.

I know Toph can’t see people if they are not in the ground but azulla’s Fire jets are loud I am sure Toph can hear them

Her fire jets make noise tops has amazing hearing she can still hear azula
While I enjoy the faraday cage idea, it should be noted that Metal is also a very good conductor of HEAT.... Azula could fry Toph inside her metal armour without resorting to Lightning.

As if Azula will just stand still and let it happen lmaoo
Toph can’t create metal so it matters which terrain they are in. I’m pretty sure Atleast. And azula in comics has shown to be able to produce instant lightning and azula could possibly destroy the metal.
And azulas fire is blue meaning it is extremely hot, she compressed her fire enough to slice through a building so if she compresses it enough she could destroy the metal. And instant lightning
So ye
@lo l Azula could use fire jet propel herself above the ground. Once toph reveals herself that is when Azula will strike.
lo l I mean she has to get out of the ground to use her bending. If toph is underground she can’t hear azulas firebending. And Azula was in her prime in the comics and surpassed Ozai in power leading me to conclude that she could of flown longer than Ozai. So toph has to eventually get off the ground.
I'd imagine the fire jets to be a little loud
toph had a hard time tracking aang because its very hard to hear or feel the vibrations of air but if azula trys to fire jet away toph will definitely feel the vibrations and/or hear the fire.
Won't even a fairly competent earth Bender sink themselves and their enemy in the ground? Earthbending is seriously underestimated.

Nice video. Master Paku vs Master Jeong Jeong.
+Tanner Lowrie 2 great geezers going at it. I like it. Jeong Jeong is pretty conservative with firebending though and always tries to control it. It stops him from getting his def countered by Paku but this makes Jeong Jeong less willing to go all out. Also, it depends on the environment they are in. If this was in a place with no water, Jeong Jeong ftw. Put them in a place with a river or any body of water nearby, then Paku's magnitude should be large enough to pull a win. So I guess I'm going with Paku if its a good environment, Jeong Jeong in little to no water environment. Heres a match I propose. Sokka vs Verrick in a first to 10 chess or Pai Sho match. 2 hilarious, eccentric, but brilliant non-benders from the southern water tribe. @@lazywriter1665 I don't think comparing fire Nation soldiers to a fire nation prodigy is very fair especially considering her fire is much hotter.
Also depends if Toph is fighting on point Azula, or Azula after she snapped at the very end of the series! I’m cheering on Toph regardless! 🙌🏽
Really great video, wish it could've been a full one. Azula finally wins one!
Also, Toph wouldn't be protected against an electric current if she were touching the metal suit, which she would be.
Thanks!
I don't see the benefit of a blotted video when all points can be made in a more concise manner here.
"Toph hasnt mastered metal bending yet" She invented it-
Yep that doesn't mean she mastered it either.
She hadn’t mastered it at that age. She defs did as an adult
I mean she was by far the best metal bender in the world at age 12
@@jonasuki she mastered it in the comics now she can control metal without having to hold it like the series (when she built the metalbending academy)
@@someotherworldlybeing3167 she was the only metal bender at age 12
Toph couldn't even touch azula during the eclipse when she had no bending.. How is this even a topic😂😂
She had help from the day reads how you like to forget that fact😂
but azula has to be grounded/stable to produce lightning, so toph probably *could* tell where it would come from bc seismic sense right?
If Toph wins against Kuvira and loses against Azula.. How does Azula lose to Kuvira
Paper, rock, scissors
Exactly
I think adult/old toph, can take teen azula coz we are talking about STRONGEST earth bender also we dont have any idea about adult/old azula maybe she is stronger or maybe she is weak
That’s not how it works. Azula and Toph are two different people. Even if Azula beat Toph, and Toph beat Kuvira, that doesn’t determine how Azula will do towards Kuvira.
@ Toph isn't the strongest Earth bender. She is the greatest, Bumi is the strongest.
Bumi has physical strength, Toph is more strategic, and has more technique, thus making her the greatest
I think it depends on the landscape though
I think toph would easily beat azula in a cave by bringing down the walls or so
But I think in an open landscape azula could easily hinder toph's seismic sense by flying even a few feel above the ground
toph would know everything that azula is doing before she even did it
Toph got in a fight with Azula. She grounded herself, so she’s doing well currently and conducting herself appropriately.
what if toph is not blind and still have seismic sense? i think she is unstoppable.
Quite the opposite effect. If she suddenly regained sight the new sense would throw her off.
Antoine Bandele naah. i said what if she is not blind and have seismic sense
She wouldn't be as good because it would be a situation like Lin. Although she has seismic sense she wouldn't constantly be using it so it wouldn't have the same effect that it has when she is blind.
@@AntoineBandele uh nooooooo that's not how it works
Asulas lighting that destroys the rock wall takes a bit to charge up
You forgot when Toph was in the airship she couldn't see too but still fought with precision
toph is already a great bender but, maybe if she had the same age (experience) then azula would've gotten whooped
I don't agree with you. Firstly lightning can't effect to earth. Secondly if Topf lock Azula by bending metal or earth, Azula can nothing.
This is going to enrage and piss of so many fans of Toph. Prepare yourself for the worst Antoine.
Same could have been said of the inverse.
Antoine Bandele
What's a inverse, do you mean is the same for Azula for the other matches?
I actually halfway agree with them, Kuvira should win and Zaheer could win (although he just barely) against pre-insanity book 3 Azula. But Kemurikage Azula is the strongest version, and would win against both imo(although Kuvira still a tough fight).
Kemurikage?
centerofstar Most agree Azula wins anyway.
avenger hateful
Azula in Smoke and Shadow, her strongest version(owned Ty Lee and Suki together for example, even without bending).
What about the terrain ?
If toph can effectivly put dust in the air, it will make azula's vision useless and give an advantage to Toph.
Yall forget that toph is only 12 at this time
In bending they are very solidly matched I think. Toph has more area of effect and scale, but Azula has more powerful direct attacks and her concentrated strikes (like charged lightning or flaming cartwheels) hold just as much power as a Toph aoe attack. They are both very creative with their respective elements but Toph is probably more versatile and "skilled". However Azula holds literally every other advantage. Physicals, intellect, you name it.
Someone who can physically run circles around Toph whilst simultaneously matching or near matching her bending prowess is not someone she wants to fight.
As always, great video, I've been looking forward to this one for a while.
I believe Toph ability to make walls puts a huge advantage against fire because it would just go around it. She also has mobility that can put here on a similar level with moves like rockalanch where she creates a wave of rocks to ride, Or going under ground to reposition, and send attacks upward. While Azula is Nimble tophs ability on defense is to over whelming because Azula doesn't have enough power to break walls consistently and doesn't have mobility that air provides, all in all it depends on the moves Toph makes not Azula.
I always wondered couldn’t toph just earthbend azulas feet into the ground to immobilize her...? Like not try to hit her just grab her feet lol
My heart says Azula and my Wallet says Azula.
If bird box happened then Toph would win everytime
Against Toph: Azula wins
Against Melon Lord: Not even a chance
Another interesting dynamic between these characters is how when Azula lies Toph is unable to sense it. Not sure if it would affect battle but it’s worth mentioning.
I think you forget that the fire jets aren't quiet, toph doesn't only rely on her feet, she also hears very good und the firejet flame do hit the ground when azula is not realy targeting for something like a higher ground(or a gondola), so they are probably causing some ruckus toph can feel with her seismic sense
Metal armour is not a Faraday Cage. It has to be COMPLETELY covered in metal, with no gaps or points of least resistance...like, say, Toph not covering her feet in metal so she can still see by touching the ground- in that case, she is still going to get knocked out. And it has to be that the person is not touching anything metal, which rules the armour out since of course it is touching the skin in at least one spot, especially in the case of Toph's entirely makeshift gear. There are real-life cases of people surviving being inside a metal car when struck by lightning unharmed, but in ALL of those cases the persons were not touching anything metal in the car (not to mention, static electricity in the air is a real thing too- even if you AREN'T touching it, you need to be a safe distance from the metal, which she isn't). The shape also matters- a Faraday cage is a cube, not a weird multi-angled person shaped object.
It also depends on how much power Azula is putting behind that lightning, and you do need to keep in mind that metal MELTS- even if the lightning DOESN'T knock her out, she may wish it had if the armour is heated so much that it scorches her alive. Azula's lightning is potent enough to destroy thick rock- Toph's armour will not protect her. There is also the shock wave impact to consider and that by itself can cause her serious harm.
And lets not forget that the type of metal itself will be a factor here- Copper? Aluminium? Gold? Iron? These can make a difference...unless, of course, Azula is just packing THAT MUCH POWER in her attacks that they don't.
EDIT: In fact, the example from Korra IS a Faraday Cage, BECAUSE she wasn't touching the ground. If she WAS, assuming the floor was metal (or she was just too close), then she could indeed have been knocked out. But because she hung (and because cloth doesn't catch fire and break when exposed to electricity..."ahem") she was safe.
Not even literal tank armour would withstand Azula's fury.
The fact that toph never fully fought azula in the show is one of the greatest tragedies of our time
With the fact that Toph can sense heartbeat and that her earth bending instincts are on point she would be able to encase Azula in her metal armour when the lightning strikes
I really feel like lightning wouldn't work on toph since it take so long to conjure up, in the charging process of lightning bending, toph could easily mess up azulas footing
When it comes to the fire jets, I think you're forgetting about one of Toph's most important abilities. Toph is able to sense vibrations that travel through air just like those that travel through the ground, through a process called "hearing." A fire jet is going to be pretty loud. When you consider that Toph already has a real-time map of the buildings around her, she could use her hearing to approximate Azula's location, if hearing wasn't already factored into the world she imagines. Seeing as she wasn't always a great earthbender, sound is probably still her primary sense.
Through a process called hearing lmao
she can hear but she can also sense air in the air
"Unlike Kuvira, Toph has not perfected metal bending..." Not sure you actually watched the series man
in the end toph uses metal bending strategically like she used it as an armor and SHIELD against the very powerful firebenders which were making use of sozin's comet
He is talking about young toph 😑😑
Im so glad i discovered this in my suggestions
added to watch later 3 years ago and i'm finally watching
I feel like toph could just set up a dust cloud around her like she did against the earth bender wrestlers. Azula couldn't see through that so toph could win that way
Now that is a challenge ....compare to Azula vs Kuvira.
The mighty Toph all the way.
Azula: Do you really want to fight me?
Toph: Don't make me drop a house on you.
Bandele forgot to take account that Toph can listen vividly to her surroundings, even though Azula is using her "flight"- it would be too loud.
Honestly, if we were to take it to the point where toph puts a metal suite on. When Azula hits that metal with fire it's gonna get hot quick and stay hot. If toph doesn't get fried she'll be forced out rather quickly so I don't see the suite helping much at all.
Jerome Wilson : During the fire nation invasion blimp, Toph covered herself in a metal suit from the metal door. She fought against sozin comet enhanced firebenders and the suit didn’t melt. Toph came out just fine.
@@stevenliang3213 Might be, but you either have to take show logic or leave it. If we take show logic fire would not work but lightning, as proven by the Amon clip; if we don't take show logic Toph would get cooked alive in that armor. Either way Azula just kinda wins imo.
heffermax the legend of Korra. Well maybe Korra just didn’t want to get electrocuted
@@heffermax Azula beats younger Toph. Adult Toph is a different story . I absolutely love and adore Toph, but I agree with this video, as he was referring to younger Toph.
Toph has been burnt before, so she would not let that happen again Secondly, she would be patient and observant, if Azula uses fire bending she could hear it, when Azula flies you can hear the fire. ATLA Toph doesn't show her beating Azula unless she uses precision(trapping her hand against the wall),also ,though Toph was a metal bender she wasn't advance as yet, in LOK we see a much better and advance Toph and one who can defend herself with air attacks, even lava. Adult Toph would slap Azula, as we know, Azula is in an asylum, but even if she was advanced Toph would still win. Toph is seen dodging and defending attacks from all 4 element bending by Korra.
@@stevenliang3213 Because she put a metal a shield between the fireblast and her suit (I mean the second big blast). Otherwise, she would probably be cooked
Really like the video dude, but I just have one thing I want to ask you. One of your main points for Azula was that she can stay off of the ground to avoid Toph's seismic sense. But in the extras little bits of info in the behind the scenes extras, it says that she can feel earth even if it's not connected to the ground. So, shouldn't she be able to just clamp a bit of stone to her arm or something and keep track of her? Sorry if this annoys you, I'm kinda a bit of a Toph fan.
luke buchholz
Azula would quickly destroy anything like that made of earth which connected to her, a parallel would be Azula escaping in Day of the Black Sun as soon as she got her firebending back.
I think Chief Toph Beifong could take 14 year old Azula though, although I have no idea how Azula would have developed her skills in the same time frame as Toph took to become Chief if she were given the opportunity to develop her skills.
She would probably gain better control over lightning and had the skill to generate a much larger amount of lightning in a similar speed to what Mako used against Amon.
Mako wasn't considered a Firebending prodigy despite having a similar amount of skill in Lightningbending, with a number more years of experience than Azula.
Understandable.
Toph can see _earth_ in the air. But not anything else. Remember she had trouble with those wasps.
Yeah, you got a point... Sorry about that.
Oreki Houtarou
You should read the comics, Azula already improved a lot in Smoke and Shadow(ball lightning, instant lightning and much more).
Let’s not forget that just because toph can be deceived by seismic movements she is deaf which means her sense of hearing is heightened.
In the comics Toph was able to spot Oppa in the air and bended her way to meet her friends mid air. Anyone thought of that?
