Tool is the most amazing band I've ever experienced. Some songs leave me exhausted because I get so immersed into the audio world they created. Some songs even well up a tear or two. Its emotional! You can only hear Tool once for the first time and this is why the Tool army enjoys watching others listen for the first time. We live Vicariously through you! Thanks for the awesome reviews my friend! 🌀 Keep going!

If you don’t want the Tool to end and you liked the double song format, listen to Pushit (studio)/Pushit (Salival live) back-to-back. Unlike Pneuma, they are two completely different versions of the same song with another studio quality live performance. Highly recommend.

I love how good they still sound considering this was released in 2019. They started in 1991 and released their first Album in 1993. What a journey it’s been, I have listened to them over 20 years. I listen to them at least once a day. A Tool song a day keeps the depression away!

Probably already mentioned, the Vic Firth drum multi-cam of Danny Carey playing this track live is jaw dropping, they spent so many years perfecting this album, they had afforded themselves all the time they wanted to create a new album with no record label pressure, this is the reward for being a patient Tool fan for 13 years after 10,000 Days, (we'll call it a decade,) holy smokes man...what an album!

If you listen to Stinkfist listen to the Studio not the music video first. We need another twofer of you watching them play it Live since they do a special extended version. The best version live I found is “Tool Stinkfist + H Live 2002. MultiCam Live Remastered” it has them play the song H following it so you can just pause when it ends. Maybe when you get to H you can swing back to the live version it’s just as amazing as Stinkfist!

There really is no bad place to go from here. Their entire catalogue is great. If you want marginally shorter songs with angry Maynard, go with the early stuff from the Undertow or Opiate albums. If you want a good mix of bangers with some trippy music tossed in, give the 10,000 Days and Ænima albums a shot. If you want some good medium length, close your eyes and zone out tunes, the Lateralus album is sure to not let you down. Then comes a collection of feature-length finely polished experiences with the Fear Inoculum album. Tool has evolved alot over their 30 years and aged like a fine wine.
If you really like Tool, I'd reccomend starting with the Undertow album and just going song for song through the catalogue so you can hear them progress over time. They are truly their own genre. Really digging your studio and live performance format and look forward to seeing more. Spiral out brother...

Fun fact Typically Adam Jones [Lead Electric Guitar a Les Paul, no less] is the one who is playing the Synth. He keeps it to the right of him and just steps over to play it. If you hear a Synth and him not playing it’s Adam, if Adam is playing then it’s Maynard playing his own synth, since he isn’t singing during those parts.
