Hadn't caught The Cult live before. Ian immediately motioned the crowd to move to the stage and we raced to the front. It was a great time! "Billy Duffy on lead guitar!" I hope more bands make it to Legends Casino in Central Wa! I gotta thank Angel from the event staff for helping us out.

I've followed the cult all my life from the beginning. They are not going to sound the same as they did in their teens or early twenties. But they still rock. Still write powerful songs. Some of their most beautiful lyrics on albums of unknown songs are my favourites.
I have lost count how many times I have seen them. Each time has a different atmosphere. I am a cult and Asbury girl for the rest of my days. Kick some ass biys

I like the lead singer’s voice better now than earlier. He is singing not screaming.
I got to see the Cult on the Sonic Temple tour and they were incredible. Electric and the self titled with the ram on the cover are great rock albums.
The culture a very strange group. I'm a fan of them. I've seen him twice over the years. First time opening up for Billy idol at Irvine Meadows in 1987. Second time at the Greek theater in Mayor June of 2018 I believe. We arrive just in time to see them. My wife thinks of them is dark. They're just my style though. You really can't put your finger on who the Cult are. They have a superb sound though.

I am surprised the Cult ever returned to perform in Washington after the 89 Metallica concert they opened. I think I was the only one in the Seattle Center Arena who was there to see them perform. 99.9 percent of the audience was not. They let the Cult know so.

He definitely sang better in the past.. you can tell he’s holding back to preserve the vocal cords… still great though

@@kathywagner1164 being Yakima, I rarely see any advertisements for concerts anywhere in the state. Usually find out from friends last minute.

I saw them in mid November in Monterey Ca. Small venue. They rocked our asses off. Great show! My ears were numb the whole next day. The Cult kicks ass! I can’t wait to see them again.

As a kid in Ontario Canada, he grew up not really on a Rez, but it was a community where First Nations people lived. As far as I read, he connected with Indigenous people far better; so the Cult's lyrics and his fashion/his outfits are reminiscent of Native, Indigenous peoples, and you can hear it and see it, actually. It's cool. Quite the performers. We were kids, 18 or so and in Irvine, CA roadtrip after high school, early college. They were the best!

Not enough of the new album, that is excellent ( Impermanence, Under The Midnight Sun and Give Me Mercy could have been played too), and i feel a lack of a song from Hidden City for exemple. 3 songs from Sonic Temple and 3 from Electric are a bit too much in my opinion. The Cult is not like other old bands, evry album are not bad copies of old ones, every album is full of real good contemporary songs, so same old good songs are not mandatory like others old bands are forced to do.

Awesome gig from an awesome band. First saw them on Electric tour and then 3 times in a week for Sonic Temple. Live in Uk and flew to see them in Phoenix and then a few days later in Vegas. Consistently come out with kickass songs and live performances.

Ah, Casino shows...home of the truncated set! I always though that if you can't give PAYING fans at the least a 90-minute set, you are robbing them and/or don't give a #@$& about them. It's so obvious.
Case in point, I saw Stephan Pearcy of Ratt at a local casino a few weeks back, and his show, WITH encore, lasted exactly 60 minutes. It's greedy and lazy and has nothing to do with getting gamblers back on the floor.
I heard this about two decades ago, when Cheap Trick played a 55-minute set with no encore. A year later, The Pretenders played a two hour casino show, as did Tears for Fears the year after that. Just give your fans a show of value, is all.
I was never a big cult fan,i mean i love their hits like every one and i admit they re a cult band.but by god ian is singing very well!!!!!singing not shouting, like most older bands!!!!!oh shit now that i am all fire up to go to a concert i just found out they were here a few months.....fuck me.....

That was my mom that said that. About a month prior her and my dad went and saw Melissa Etheridge and she put on about an hour and a half show. 15ish minute more than The Cult’s set.
i remember how much rain, revolution and she sell sanctuary help me in my army time in such stupid north italy hills ... of such lost year, 1986, i remember only the cult and edge of heaven of wham before george michael left the band

Yes they do! First time seeing them and I was blown away by how great they sounded! I’ve seen plenty of bands over the last 11 years and they are right there in my top 5 of best sounding!

I've seen these guys at least 5 times dating back to 1987-ish. Never again. Last time I saw them--a few years back in Salt Lake City--Ian sounded horrible. And they haven't released any decent new music in at least 20 years. It's just so boring to go see this nostalgia acts playing the same old songs over and over again... for decades. It's just so lazy. Plenty of great new bands out there to support.
They played a couple of new songs off their new album that sounded amazing! For me it was amazing seeing them even though I’ve only ever known 4 songs by them. Just like back in July, went and saw Tesla for the first time and they were just as amazing
