@@jeffcoleman1006, on the right hand door on our model, there are no electronics/electrical cables routing into the door so the cams are the same for the top and bottom hinge. I've checked my order history to assure that I did not buy two different types. I didn't, I used two sets of the same part to complete the repair. I hope that helps you! Best, DFJ

Fantastic video if you are looking for the solution. I went to whirlpool site to verify the parts for my model which were the same as yours in this video. My whirlpool model is 20 years old and our refrigerator door was not closing tightly and as firmly as it used to anymore. Ordered the parts locally from an appliance parts store which had them ready for pickup in an hour for $9.00. Expected an easy job like in your video. After taking the door off and cleaning underneath whatever was on there after 20 years, I noticed the piece in the door had already worn all the way down and the shaft that went into to the door was stuck in there. It was a battle with the long nose pliers to pull out pieces of it so that I could fit the new part. Once that was accomplished, everything went back together quickly and it works like brand new again! I can't thank you enough for this video.

Hi Jay, thanks for posting a Really Easy To Follow & A Great Video To Boot.
Here's the issue in our house. My wife feels the need to put an extra 50 lbs of food into the fridge. (Same With Our Freezer)...
I had to ask her to Please go to wherever it was she was going to so I could look at it...
After watching your video, and just before I ordered the Hinge-Cams, I took one more look into the fridge. She buys those 1/2 gallon bottles of Coffee Creamer, but this time she had the bottle partially in front of the Gallon of Milk. I moved it over & Wa-La, the door closed correctly.
Because she uses the Washing Machine Door to Hang Wet/Damp cloths on while she loads the Dryer, she's damaged the Washing Machine Door Internally, so we need a new Washer Door. & darn if they don't cost more than a new Washing Machine.
Last after arguing with her about not jamming the freezer with way too much food, after 7 years, the Freezer-Door Water-Dispenser works again, as does the Automatic Ice Maker...
I love my wife, there is no doubt, but her mother had to keep the house full of food because her father would take off for a week or so, every now & then. That's where she gets the ''Jam-Packing the Refrigerator'' from... Thanks again for the great video my friend... Dan

Thanks a lot for your video and instructions. This gave me the confidence to try to fix it. I ordered the parts for my 25 yr-old fridge, taking out the door was easy, but the new parts for the door had a problem, the mounting hole is few millimetres off, so the door will not fit into the protruding rod of the fridge, it took me half an hour to work out a solution, which was to drill a larger mounting hole on the replacement part, so it could be adjusted to fit to the door and align with the hole. Eventually, it worked, it took 90 minutes instead of 15 minutes. As usual, sometimes things are not that straightforward, need to allow extra time and work out a solution on the spot. ( I am outside USA, the parts are a little bit more expensive, but it is still cheaper than calling a technician to fix it).

Hi Mr. Jay, I have a LG refrigerator LFX31925ST /03 and my right side door won’t stay in the closed position when the left door is opened and closed. We have had it for 8 years and it just started doing this. Per your video, I have checked steps 1 & 2. I even replaced the right door foam seal. This fridge doesn’t have the door cams on bottom like your video. I was sure that was going to be the problem. Thanks for any info you can provide! Jeff

Excellent video. This exactly what my fridge needed (16 years old). The same parts too. The plastic piece on the door was completely gone and used needle nose pliers to pull out the long piece still stuck in the hole in the door. Used a wire brush to clean off the rust build up. I had so much fixing the problem that now I just want to keep opening my fridge door just to watch it close. 🤣🤣🤣

Wow, and thank you for taking the time to help us all out. Way too often, small things like that cause folks to up and buy a new *whatever* when a few bucks could fix it and stay out of landfills. Until corporations bring back manufacturing to America, we need to buy as little new as we can.

Good advice, door closes and stays closed now. Repair took less than 15 minutes and that included emptying the contents of the door shelves!
