I really like the design of this song. The first seconds are clearly an alarm, followed by music that sounds like something terrifying is chasing you (which you hear if it's targeting your allies while you desperately run out of range). And then if you actually survive for 30 seconds the whole vibe changes as if the song is saying "oh you're still alive? I guess we're doing this then!"
I love the transition at around 0:40 from a song that's almost like a warning, like it's saying "Yo bro this level 81 monkey will absolutely curbstomp you if dont get out of it's aggro range," to a song that is cheering on the player. the song is like "Ok wow you actually survived, you may actually beat this beast." That transition alone is a reward for grinding up your party and figuring out a strategy to defeat the crazy unique monsters during the beginning areas of the game. This is definitely in the top 10 songs in the game
"You have a chance to run. But you can stand and fight, if you do we got the hype for you" Or as Grigori from dragons dogma puts it "better a fool than craven"
What really painful is, most people hear this for the first time and get one shot by a fat gorilla. And you want revenge! but No he is over Level 80 so yeah.... beat the game come later. I hate him for that, nearly all monsters don't even aggro you when you don't provoke them, he just runs with a speed hack around and punches you for fun.
@@OtisCluck Still, even most unique monsters just hang out in their specific place and don't run with a speed hack over the land and punch you for fun. They sit in their little bubble and wait for you to challenge them but not Rotbart..... Fuck Rotbart, there is a reason why I killed him 100 times.
Torna's unique monster battle theme just slaps so hard. Reminds me of the first time I used chain attack in XC2 torna I was fighting giant spooder with Lora and this song played
To me, this is the "You Will Know Our Names" of Xenoblade 2. The Guitar solo at 0:44 is just far more phenomenal and more memorable compared to the guitar solo in "You Will Recall Our Names". My take on this is the developers thought of two songs that would play when fighting unique enemies, except one will play for some while the other for some also. Of course, there is also "Monster Surprise You" to consider, but this only played when you fought a unique monster from a quest line and not from the over world; so it doesn't count as being the next "You Will Know Our Names" or what I like to call "You Will Know Our Names II". By the way, I'm excited for "You Will Know Our Names III" for Xenoblade 3, I wonder what they will call it this time; or for that matter, will there even be a "You Will Know Our Names III" at all?
Xenoblade 1: One who gets in our way

The beggining with the BA-BABA-BAAAAAABABA-BABABABABABA IS AMAZING
I really like the design of this song. The first seconds are clearly an alarm, followed by music that sounds like something terrifying is chasing you (which you hear if it's targeting your allies while you desperately run out of range). And then if you actually survive for 30 seconds the whole vibe changes as if the song is saying "oh you're still alive? I guess we're doing this then!"
2:40 makes me feel like I can take on anything
I love the transition at around 0:40 from a song that's almost like a warning, like it's saying "Yo bro this level 81 monkey will absolutely curbstomp you if dont get out of it's aggro range," to a song that is cheering on the player. the song is like "Ok wow you actually survived, you may actually beat this beast."
That transition alone is a reward for grinding up your party and figuring out a strategy to defeat the crazy unique monsters during the beginning areas of the game. This is definitely in the top 10 songs in the game
"You have a chance to run. But you can stand and fight, if you do we got the hype for you"
Or as Grigori from dragons dogma puts it "better a fool than craven"
Those Who Stand Against Our Path > You Will Recall Our Names gang rise up
me: this starting area is so cool!
Territorial Rotbart: sup bro
This song would sound absolutely Smashing on Gramps!
This is a good way to get the blood pumping...
Am I the only one who had no problem with territorial rotbart but had more trouble with ma boy *Sniping Brent* !
Oh don't get me started on that dumb bird
God I got chased off by him so many times. Tried fighting him, but at my level more enemies kept also trying to fight me and I got fucked up
Casually strolling through Gormott and this shit starts...
"TORA GET OUT OF THE GODAMN POISON WE NEED TO KILL THE BIRD"
Tora: Hehe my hp go brrr
Listening to this while fighting rajang was an experience
"More? A heroes work is never done!"
I will always remember Sad Brenard.
The theme that echoes in my head after spending a disgusting amount of time fight reeking Douglas for core crystals
This >>> you will recall our names
Rex the Impregnable
Playing this song on the drums is so much fun
I love this song
You will know our names finally has a worthy opponent
I like the fact that this is different from you will know our names
What really painful is, most people hear this for the first time and get one shot by a fat gorilla. And you want revenge! but No he is over Level 80 so yeah.... beat the game come later. I hate him for that, nearly all monsters don't even aggro you when you don't provoke them, he just runs with a speed hack around and punches you for fun.
"speed hack" is the right description. XC1 Monke just gently strolls around Gaur Plains and XC2 Monke reeeeeaaaaaallly took issue with that
There are two instances where enemy aggro you no matter what
1: they are higher level than you
2: they are a unique monster
Guess which one Rotbart is
@@OtisCluck Still, even most unique monsters just hang out in their specific place and don't run with a speed hack over the land and punch you for fun. They sit in their little bubble and wait for you to challenge them but not Rotbart..... Fuck Rotbart, there is a reason why I killed him 100 times.
I heard this first by grace of Cool Aid dino.
Torna's unique monster battle theme just slaps so hard. Reminds me of the first time I used chain attack in XC2 torna
I was fighting giant spooder with Lora and this song played
Don’t get me wrong, you will recall our names is good, but I’ll always prefer this.
I agree
I was so disappointed when this stopped playing
Pyra and Mythra main here
When a random gorilla is stronger than the final boss of the game.
I feel like Leftheria and Tantal should have kept this one as their UM theme.
How this soundtarck can be this good
"DARN... WHY HEA?"
profile picture represents your comment well +respect
“You guys just... clean up here”
this, counterattack and you will recall our names are my favorites tracks of the game
