Hi John I just wanted to take the time to thank you for posting these videos! I finally at the age of 32 just passed my road-test at Largo on July 1st😀. I practiced the longer route but my instructor actually took me on the shorter route you mentioned. For everyone who is going to test here I definitely would recommend taking a dry run on both routes and to stay calm and just breath. If I can do it then you can to. Good luck to all and if you fail keep your head high and keep trying🙏
I took the exam on June 16th 2018, here is the route they made me take: - exit mva using Old Largo Road - Head north until Lake Arbor Way and make a right. - Follow Lake Arbor Way and make a right on Campus Way N. - Pass the fire station and make a right onto Largo Road (watch out for the bike lane) - slight right to Old Largo Road and enter the MVA. - finally, they will probably tell you to make a right in front of the MVA switch to the left lane, make a left and park on the south side of the MVA building. The exam is basically a circle around the MVA. From what I understand this is the route they have been using for a while and they don't go to pg cc anymore.
Hi John, and others, the route has changed. I took it twice in June 2018, and route was as follows both times: (1) right out of Largo MVA onto 202 (2) right onto Lake Arbor (3) right onto Campus Way North (4) right onto Largo Road, and (5) almost immediate right again back into the Largo MVA
Just passed my test today thanks to this video, I took the same route but in The light at Largo rd my instructor make me went right instead of left so my test was just 5 minutes.
SHORT WAT: First get out of DMV through Old Largo Road, turn right on the U shaped road, get in the Largo road and go straight, turn right to Lake Arbor Way, turn right to Old Campus Way, turn right again to Largo Rd. Lastly enter Old Largo, enter DMV. MUST STUDY mva parking lot/street using google street view. Do not enter signs, stop signs and one way signs in the parking lot fucked me up. You can even come early before the appointment and drive around the parking lot to check out the signs. I took the test TWO times and failed with dumbas mistakes but eventually I passed :) Hope it helps!
+ I took mine on Monday and Thurdays between 9:30-11:30, and it was pretty busy. Busy=short way, so I was okay with that. Had to wait about an hour and half every time even with appointment. The first instructor I had was a lady with the bun. She was nice and gave benefit of doubt. The lady with yellow hair was idk okay but she kinda gave off annoyed/unhappy(?) vibes which made me extra nervous. I heard the old man is pretty easy.
Really need to learn the road in largo for the exam i really praying and wish i pass next time i go up there. Im study this video for sure. Wish they had the shorter route as well because that the one we most likely do
HI I'm taking my text next week. I was wondering was this the correct order of entering a car? OR it has to be in exact order? Walk around car , check or glasses leaks animals , damages Enter car / lock door Key in ignition , foot on break Adjust seat Adjust head strain Adjust mirror Adjust wheel Fasten seat belt Check gauges Adjust ventilation Parking break off Pull off
You're welcome. Note that this is the longer version. I understand the shorter version doesn't cut through the community college - just circles back around to the MVA. Good luck.
Interesting questions. For the second question - no, they don't allow walk ins. You must schedule through the MVA. For the first question, I don't know. You can try to pick times when there is less traffic around the MVA - maybe 9:00 till 11:30 or from 1:30 till 3:00. Here is link to a UK article that might help. www.thesun.co.uk/motors/4151844/what-is-the-best-time-of-day-to-take-your-driving-test-it-can-make-a-real-difference-to-if-you-pass/ Anyway, good luck!
This is the longer of 2 routes. The shorter route doesn't go the PG CC - just circles back to the MVA. Tips: Practice, know the area around the MVA, pay attention to signs (you will be asked), relax. BTW, you can go and watch other people take the closed course and follow people taking the road course. Good luck.
Not sure but it will be similar. If you have time, go to the MVA and follow someone taking the test. You will see them exiting the closed course every 10 minutes.
Sorry...I still don't have it. Quick tip. Just go to the MVA during testing hours and follow someone taking the test. You can spot them leaving the closed course. Good luck.
I don't think any MVA routes go on interstate highways. I assume it is safety-related. Based on the failure rate of the test, I would more content staying on 35MPH roads if I was an examiner :).
I assume so. Why would you do either of those? Stop on red and then take the right if things are clear. I think the max speed on the route is 35 or 40. You can obviously go under the speed limit (5 to 10 MPH) but if you are doing 5 MPH, the instructor might get pissed.
Dana Thomas I heard they can make you fail if you don't make a right on red. I drove 5 mph below the speed limit and the woman told me to work on my speed at the end. I don't think my speed affected the exam though. Just don't go too slow.
I'm surprised there is such a demand for Waldorf. Unfortunately, I still don't have the route. If you go there during the day, you can follow someone taking the test. If not, just drive around the MVA area to become familiar with the roads & signs. As you can see in my other videos, the routes are pretty similar.
The routes are up to the instructor. They should be similar to the ones I've posted. Another option - go to the MVA and follow someone taking the test. There should be a line of cars exiting the closed course. Good luck.

Where is the longer route?
This video shows the longer route
What's the shorter route?

Thanks for the feedback!
Omer Akgul thanks so much for the insight. Am taking my test tomorrow.
Lucille Eyombo Epse Ngoh Did you pass the test and was that the route taken?
I'm taking mines today, I feel pretty confident .
hey, is this route still used for the test? I plan on taking the test after driving school. thank you for the information.

From what i saw in this video and google maps, there arent many speed limits right?
Really need to learn the road in largo for the exam i really praying and wish i pass next time i go up there. Im study this video for sure. Wish they had the shorter route as well because that the one we most likely do
This definitely helps me a lot for when I take my driving test in July hopefully I won't have a strict or terrible driving instructor
Yeah, you can't pick the instructor. Just practice and make sure you know the area (including signs) around the MVA. Good luck!
Any in 2024, is this still the same route?
HI I'm taking my text next week. I was wondering was this the correct order of entering a car? OR it has to be in exact order?
Walk around car , check or glasses leaks animals , damages
Enter car / lock door
Key in ignition , foot on break
Adjust seat
Adjust head strain
Adjust mirror
Adjust wheel
Fasten seat belt
Check gauges
Adjust ventilation
Parking break off
Pull off
Exactly what I needed! Thank you!
You're welcome. Note that this is the longer version. I understand the shorter version doesn't cut through the community college - just circles back around to the MVA. Good luck.
John so instead of making a left on largo rd. You would make a right and go back to the MVA ?
See comments under this version: ruclips.net/video/LGti7lzg2_4/видео.html
John thanks so much this helped me out a lot!
Thank you this video helped me pass my test today
You're welcome. Congrats!
Does anyone know the speed limit around there I know near pg it's 25 and the Mva is 15 but is the other road 35?
How many mistakes you can make for the mva to fail you ?
Hey +John question can you upload the road test route for waldorf md. If you can
Sorry, I don't have it. I suggest going to the MVA and follow any car leaving the closed course...that will be the route.
thanks so much i just passed my test!
Congrats!
Will you have a route for Waldorf anytime soon?
Sorry, I don't know the route. I will try to film it if anyone has it.
Did you take your test in Waldorf? If so, do you recall the route?
Salute 2Beauty yeah will you
What’s the best day and time to take the drive test? And do they accept walkins?
Interesting questions. For the second question - no, they don't allow walk ins. You must schedule through the MVA.

Anyway, good luck!
Hi I will be taking my test on the july 29, is this route accurate? Any tips for me?
This is the longer of 2 routes. The shorter route doesn't go the PG CC - just circles back to the MVA.
Tips: Practice, know the area around the MVA, pay attention to signs (you will be asked), relax. BTW, you can go and watch other people take the closed course and follow people taking the road course.

Check out my comment. I hope it helps :)
Hi, at 1:05 are you allowed to make a right turn on red?
Yes, unless there is a sign saying you can't. However, you are taking a left at this location.
hello is this still the same current route for the driving test in Largo MD?
Not sure but it will be similar. If you have time, go to the MVA and follow someone taking the test. You will see them exiting the closed course every 10 minutes.
John thanks
Is the shorter route on your channel as well?
No, I only filmed the longer route. Instead of taking the left on Largo road, take a right and go back to the MVA. It just cuts off the PG CC portion.
Can this video help me pass the largo road test although i havent been driving on the road since i finish driving school ?
Yes. Practice this route and know the streets and road signs around the MVA
Thanks alot
hope this helps me thanks a lot
You're welcome....good luck!
Can you film the other shorter route ?
I will film it the next time I'm down that way. It's really the same thing except you cut out the PG CC portion.
I hope you can find the route to waldorf. I have the most rude examiner ever. I really hope u find the waldorf route.
Sorry...I still don't have it. Quick tip. Just go to the MVA during testing hours and follow someone taking the test. You can spot them leaving the closed course. Good luck.
Do they ask question while driving u ? Or u just drive the route & park and everything ?... I take mine tomm
Yes, they will ask you about signs (speed limit, yield, etc.), most likely after you have passed them.
did you pass? If so, any tips and suggestions?
When I took it at largo, they didn't ask any question
So, they never took you on the Beltway? That should have been part of the route. I mean, the place is right next to it.
I don't think any MVA routes go on interstate highways. I assume it is safety-related. Based on the failure rate of the test, I would more content staying on 35MPH roads if I was an examiner :).
Can they fail you for not turning right on red or driving slow ?
I assume so. Why would you do either of those? Stop on red and then take the right if things are clear. I think the max speed on the route is 35 or 40. You can obviously go under the speed limit (5 to 10 MPH) but if you are doing 5 MPH, the instructor might get pissed.

Man you need to go find Waldorf ASAP

Did you take your test in Waldorf? If so, do you recall the route?
No I took it at Largo.......this isn't the route anymore just so yall know. I took it 2 days ago
Well it kinda is. You still go down campus way but you just Leave out of the MVA another way
Yeah, I routes are up to the instructor. Besides exiting the MVA, what else was different? Did you go through PG CC?
Anybody got an update on this route for 2019? I gotta take mine on Tuesday
The routes are up to the instructor. They should be similar to the ones I've posted. Another option - go to the MVA and follow someone taking the test. There should be a line of cars exiting the closed course. Good luck.
John ahhh okay. Thanks for that info!
Hello everyone do anyone know if this is still the same route in 2022?
Yea it is
Dmn that seem like a lot 🤦🏽♀️ WTH
