Great to see all your extra activities that make life worth living. I have shared the vlog with a friend who was a weaver for 30 years. I think he will be very impressed with your loom Fran. Excellent hair-cutting confidence Rich and very impressed you have kept the same bike for 10 years. It must be a real prize - you could put semi-slicks on the rims for wet-dry traction and make life easier for yourself. I love my bike too. Great to see the sun in the vlogs.
Im so happy finally seeing this today by mistake. I wasnt even looking and I could have sworn I have seen each episode at least twice. You guys ar part of which makes me happy :-)
Well it's big props to Rich in this one, Edward Scissorhands doing a cool job! Then the painting! A cool Morrissey t-shirt! A well deserved beer is well due but you knackered yasel oot trying to bear that other cyclist lol Clever discovery with the horse-tail Fran 👍 Your hairdo looks wonderful! Thank you for the tour of the Loom too, what a wonderfully relaxing hobby you have and helping charity out too through buying your materials. Brilliant episode yet again guys!
What a sweet video! Great job on the haircut...now that's trust. Fran your weaving is beautiful, was nice to see. I really liked the bike ride part as well. Thank you so much for sharing, you are such a wonderful couple. Take really good care...stay safe!
Love the framed sign on the wall about books. When I lived in my home for 40 years I had ten floor to ceiling bookcases filled with books. People found it intimidating and asked if I read them. "Yes, I read them all." Scary to enter a home not see any books. Great vlog. Love, Jane, Piladelphia
great hair cut Rich, Fran is excited for you to do more? Loved watching the painting get done! Did we miss it? Fran please do more weaving in slow time, want to see how you add different wools and bits. Would love to know how to do some scarves too, sorry am a bit pushy, just keen as mustard, thanks. Feel free to tell me to stay quiet. Rich can you slow down the bike ride, sometimes a bit too fast an cant keep up. Real time bike ride would be good! love you guys xx
You two are so funny! I cut my husbands hair all the time. I’m not saying it’s great but he’s tight and he thinks I’m cheap! Lol Fran your hair looks lovely
What a lovely and uplifting vlog. Life almost feels normal when I watch videos like this. You did a great job on Fran's hair, Rich and it was fun coming along for the ride into town. I did laugh when you made a dash to catch that other cyclist - just like my OH, he always sees that as a challenge :) Love the weaving Fran, very interesting to watch and your can really show your artistic flair on those wall hangings (look forward to seeing more of that). Overall its great to see you both doing so well and managing to maintain your relaxed outlook on life during this god awful pandemic. Keep em coming :)
Heaven knows I'm miserable now having to wait for your next vlog. How about a video showing Rich riding his bike on the towpath after drinking his beer.Comedy Gold. Take care.
I'm so gratefull. The haircutting scene was simply the clip of the day. I laughed my heart out all the way through. Actually I thing you could open a saloon - at least for nonfigurative haircut 😜 All the best from Denmark 👌
Just watched this one, you were very brave Fran but Rich you did a great job and there was nothing to worry about, watching them all in order from the start and loving it.
This vlog has everything. High comedy-hair cut, tension-bike ride under bridges, natural homemaking- oven cleaning and creativity-weaving. Great video!!
You are finding even more talents in this lockdown! Great job cutting Fran's hair and enjoyed the bike ride. Learn so much about the plant life on the canal!
The hair cut was excellent (I am in lock down with my wife who is a very highly regarded hairdresser - you were very hard judged at this end!). Really impressed to see a loom on a narrow boat, and what a wonderful wall hanging!
I do enjoy watching people in the vlogs i watch showing their skills etc eg the fran with the loom and both of your knowledge as gardeners along the towpath etc Great vlog as always
I loved the hair cutting, Rich you will be starting a new business. It brightened up my night shift I laughter out loud. And Fran your weaving is beautiful , take care lov jac xxx
Fran you are brave! I shudder to think what I would look like if I let my husband cut my hair! Rich did an excellent job! Love the bike ride thanks for taking us along!
As a one time Hairdresser, I congratulate you on getting the hair the same length both sides of Frans's face and no blood from cut ears which are the very devil to stop.
Hi Fran not sure if someone has suggested this but when you want to clean your wood stove glass used a old newspaper. For some reason printed newspaper will clean that glass like stink!
(Formerly Traffords Finest) Another great video, extremely brave there Fran but I think he did a great job. Canal side haircuts a new calling. When we are back to normal that is. Stay safe. :-)
Well done Richard, Fran it looks really good after drying. You were very brave to to let him cut , wouldn't let my hubby do that. New career Richard 🤣🤣
That is the best chuckle we have had this weekend. Rich's face, Fran's face, the hairdressers question. A perfect lockdown tonic. We can see a mobile boating hairdressers opening. Stay well you two
Loved Fran's haircut it was very soft looking in the sun, suits you. Rich great cross country ride thanks for taking us along. Fran the weaving is beautiful that piece looked like ground up to sky, beautiful colours. Enjoy your weather and hopefully you are on the move a bit more now.
Straight hair and a precision cut? WELL DONE. And perish the thought I'd get a motorized bike! Ebike? No thanks. Folding bike? Yeah - I'd consider that for a narrowboat.
“What was that oh!..” 😂😂😂 Fran you are the bravest woman I know but Rich did a pretty great job. You won’t make your usual stylist cry when you see her next. ✂️✂️✂️
The best thing with cutting the hair is that if you take too much it will grow out again, if you make it to long you can cut again. But I must say that you are both brave; a man cut's his hair, a women get her hair done...
Oh that was such a great beginning! You guys have so much fun together, and he actually did a very nice job on your hair! ☺️ Thanks for the giggles. Glad you had a better time on your bike this go round, Rich! Beautiful scenery. Really enjoyed the weaving as well, very interesting! Xx
Just watching your video from Christchurch New Zealand. Love the weaving Fran. Good on you Rich for using your bell on the bike, we wish more people would do that. Patrick and Debbie
Hi guys so good to catch up with you again ,Rich you did a grand job on Grand hair well done and I love your weaving Fran ,stay safe ,and take care ,big hugs xx
Nice to see u all,Rich I gotta say u did a great haircut,(I’m a hairdresser),cutting a Bob is so precise u done a nice cut,the look on yr face Fran when he was cutting was hilarious..loved the weaving ,the colours mixed and toned lovely,a creative couple,..keep well,🌺🌻
We had a plant like the plant you brought in, where I grew up. But it had no leaves. The stalk was exactly like yours and I would make really long ones by putting them together. I have a loom about the size of a dinner table but I weave beads. I use 11/0 beads, meaning that you can stack 11 beads to make an inch. I am working on a landscape of monument valley and I don’t know if I will keep it or what. A museum in NYC expressed an interest a few years ago but this one is taking awhile they have probably changed things up. Don’t know. I could use the money but haven’t a clue how to sell something that took years to make. I should send you some strands of beads so you can weave them in your stuff. Your hair turned out great! Go Rich! You need some saddlebags and a handlebar pouch for the bike. I used to ride my bike everywhere when I was a kid. Mom sent me to town to get a broom and mop once. I had an interesting time with that. Great video and also great to see you!
Hi Rebecca. Your weaving sounds absolutely amazing. I don't think you should sell it. It is a oart of your history and whatever money you get for it would never be enough. A place in a museum would be wonderful so lots of people could see it. Maybe you could then take on smalle commisions for a fee.
I've always enjoyed a precious few minutes with you both ... always saved a new video for a quiet time and a cup of coffee. In these troubled times your videos are even more dear to me than you can imagine! Peace and goodwill to you both. Sincerest thanks, Keith
Sorry, still catching up with your vlogs from the start. This one had me in fits of laughter, remembering the ‘buzz cut’ I got earlier in May from ‘salon’ Monsignor Graham (my Hubbie). Don’t worry, it was on the longest setting and turned out reasonably well...stressful though!
wow Fran & Rich you've just reduced me to tears, what a lovely view & sounds you have to wake up to first thing on the morning, sun beaming, trees motionless, birds singing etc no noisy moaning neighbours having a go at you every day, just the tranquillity of the wild, just wish we had the money to buy our own boat and do what your doing just to get well away from our neighbours who just wont leave us alone, we are so sad where we live, the neighbours are making our health problems worse especially my wife's heart condition, as she as heart failure and is suppose to be keeping quiet and calm but these neighbours are just upsetting her, the only peace we get is when all the neighbours have gone to bed, we cant sell the house as its part owned by my brother in law, and I know if we had the money or if we win either the national lottery or our post code lottery we will buy a boat as we know we would be far happier living on a boat at least we would make new friends and join a new family in the boating world especially within the Liver board communities
Hi Anthony. So sorry to hear you are in this situation. We completely understand as it was one of the reasons we left Norfolk. Neighbours made our lives miserable and we never forget how lucky we are now to be able to move the boat if there is anything to disturb us. Notice we nearly always choose to moor up all on our own. I hope you can enjoy a little bit of the peaceful life we now have and if you ever get the chance to do the same, just dive straight in. x
Hi rich&Fran Rich you are a braver man than me cutting hair on women I think I would have beer first You both carry on having a good life and keep well stay safe
You are one brave woman, Fran! All I can say is--you always look great! I watched a RUclips video and then cut my husband's hair. I did such a good job--looked better than when he goes to the barber! My lock-down problem is that I started cooking and baking and now none of my clothes fit! Desperate measures are needed.
Beautiful weaving! Rich snapping those scissors at the beginning before the haircut was tense, but nice that Fran got a good haircut. Fran have you ever thought about writing a canalside herbal guide?
Another Great vlog. Don't increase the film speed in the town. Love looking at the streets and buildings. Fran was brave, my wife wouldn't think of me cutting her hair. 😆
Hi great to ride a bike sadly being mature I nearly killed a neighbour he had to jump into a bush ! Never learnt as a child so obviously far too late now ! And our neighbour was fine after apologies!
Hmmm I guess Rich used a spirit level on that bob! Loved the bike ride for a worthy cause....Beer! Lovely clean oven Fran ,I note the two absolute necessities over your shoulder namely Marmite and Colmans mustard....signs of a good cook Bye for now take care stay safe
Love and trust...two important things in a relationship. Rich did a great job Fran. Mine was falling out in clumps and I had my head shaved. Rich missed his calling. Lol. 35 more days of chemo and I’m done. I hope y’all are well and safe.
Thanks for sharing your weaving, I love craft things and it is always interesting watching a different craft. I think Rich did a fabulous job on the haircut. My favourite Aunt always said there is only a fortnight between a bad haircut and a good haircut, failing that wear a hat! No need in your case though. Take care
Pretty neat! Definite appeal to being out in grand weather for sunrise and/or sunset. Hey, weaving could be useful for a future haircut, just take a length of yarn and weave in a line for Rich to cut along.
The bike ride was great! Also loved the evening shot with the setting sun and bird song, followed by morning views of the canal. Lovely, as always. Be well.
Beautiful day! Fran, you are brave to allow Rich near your hair with the scissors, but he seems to have done a reasonable job. My wife cuts my hair, but I'm closer to Rich in terms of the amount of hair on my head! Rich, I'm glad you have a bell on your bike. So many cyclists seem to do without these days and my wife and I are constantly being caught out by cyclists riding up behind us when we're out walking. Very interesting to see the weaving, Fran. When I lived in the Shetland Islands (many years ago), I had a traditional loom for weaving fabric. It was large and filled one of the rooms in our house. I had a friend who used to spin, dye his yarn with natural dyes made from what he could find in the islands, and weave. He taught me to weave.
The man's a hero cutting his wife hair
Good luck 🎉

Oh the look on Rich’s face made me lol 😂, you were braver than me Fran , but he did quite a good job , well done Rich !
Thanks so much
Great haircut! Looks good.
He did a good job and still cuts my hair. I just get it done professionally once or twice a year now, and Rich trims it inbetween
Brilliant, thanks for sharing 🙏🕊✝️🙏🇨🇦
Well it's big props to Rich in this one, Edward Scissorhands doing a cool job! Then the painting! A cool Morrissey t-shirt! A well deserved beer is well due but you knackered yasel oot trying to bear that other cyclist lol Clever discovery with the horse-tail Fran 👍

We know just how you feel. If we ever get a bigger boat, it will just be an excuse to get more books.
Well done with the hairdressing Richard .😀
He is a man of many hidden talents

You didn't miss the painting, It's still ongoing, but there always seems to be something better to do
loved the bike ride, smashing veiwing
Thanks 👍
Excellent go-faster music.
😁 thing is bikes cut out at 10/12mph. Which can easily be done just ride normally 😂
Great vlog guys. Loved Rich's warp speed towpath ride. What a fantastic spot you're moored in. Stay safe.
You two are so funny! I cut my husbands hair all the time. I’m not saying it’s great but he’s tight and he thinks I’m cheap! Lol

All the best from Denmark 👌
I have to say the boat is looking smashing with all the painting and and the weaving is just magical.
Thank you Richard. We are sprucing it up in case we have some special guests soon xx
Just watched this one, you were very brave Fran but Rich you did a great job and there was nothing to worry about, watching them all in order from the start and loving it.
Thank you Lorraine, glad you are enjoying our videos
Very impressed with the loom Fran, they are complicated, I wouldn't have the patience to set it up.
It is so easy really x
This vlog has everything. High comedy-hair cut, tension-bike ride under bridges, natural homemaking- oven cleaning and creativity-weaving. Great video!!
Thank you so much Lynn

Thank you Gordon
Monsieur Richard, by appointment only!!👍🇦🇺
Curious how you started weaving?
We just walked into a Saori weaving studio and Rich bought me lessons for Christmas. That was enough to start an obsession
I do enjoy watching people in the vlogs i watch showing their skills etc eg the fran with the loom and both of your knowledge as gardeners along the towpath etc
Great vlog as always
Glad you like them!
I loved the hair cutting, Rich you will be starting a new business. It brightened up my night shift I laughter out loud. And Fran your weaving is beautiful , take care lov jac xxx

I didn't know that. It the the gardener's arch enemy
Good job on the hair Rich, and awesome job on the wall hanging Fran..... good to see you both looking happy and healthy. See you soon x❤️🌱💚
Really can't wait to get together with you too. If we moor up somewhere good we can at least sit outside the boat or go walking now x
As a one time Hairdresser, I congratulate you on getting the hair the same length both sides of Frans's face and no blood from cut ears which are the very devil to stop.
I didn't even stop to think about cut ears. Did you notice he didn't even have his glasses on, they were on top of his head!
@@FloatingOurBoat What you can not see won't frighten you
Hi Fran not sure if someone has suggested this but when you want to clean your wood stove glass used a old newspaper. For some reason printed newspaper will clean that glass like stink!
I do use this, sometimes a little vinegar spray helps too
(Formerly Traffords Finest) Another great video, extremely brave there Fran but I think he did a great job. Canal side haircuts a new calling. When we are back to normal that is. Stay safe. :-)
I've always said we need some floating hairdressers, now I have my own x
Well done Richard, Fran it looks really good after drying. You were very brave to to let him cut , wouldn't let my hubby do that. New career Richard 🤣🤣
Nice haircut, I had mine cut by my partner too, during Lockdown in NZ. Love your foraging in the UK.
You are looking so much better Rich
I love the hair cut. Good job, fun couple you are. Saying hi from Nova Scotia a small fishing village outside of Lunenburg. Love your life style.
Thank you Nancy and thank you for following from Nova Scotia x
That is the best chuckle we have had this weekend. Rich's face, Fran's face, the hairdressers question. A perfect lockdown tonic. We can see a mobile boating hairdressers opening.

I'm sorry, but I am keeping him solely as my own private hairdresser

Thanks for the video. You always brighten my day here in the US. (Wish I had a NB).
Thank you, you're welcome
Loved the haircut. You were so brave to let him and he was so brave to try. Looks fine and sure had me smiling. Hang in
Rich, you did a great job! (On Fran's hair.) Trust you enjoyed the beer!
Fran, you are one courageous woman! Rich, you did a great job! Good on ya!

Bye for now take care stay safe
Don't forget hendersons relish and HP sauce
Me and my 4 year old daughter loved the wall hanging. Georgia wants to know is that a bobbin you were holding. She thinks it was fabulous.
Wow. Georgia us a bright girl. Yes it was a bobbin. She must be our youngest viewer. Say hello to her from us x
We cut our own hair, we started when we decided that we shouldn't have to PAY for a bad haircut. :) Fun video, thanks.
Absolutely agree
I cannot believe you let Rich do this 😮
I had complete faith in him

Oh dear Fran....you was very brave....he didn’t do too bad. Although Rich’s hairstyle easier....like mine 🤣🤣🤣stay safe guys Regards Mick
Thank you Barney. Spinning is a mystery to me, but on my list to learn about.
Hello
