Strange how the first boat on camera felt the best out of all of them to me too. I guess you can’t know until you’re in the space. Congratulations guys.
What a job, find what you like and then pick holes In it, buying things SH is so difficult but approached properly by the pair of you. I heard a mention about wood but at least it is warm and holds warmth like nothing else!
smart move i think is the better boat you looked at i also think if you fully paint all the dull plywood it will give a much nicer warmer feel but that's just me i also looked at boats i found a new sailaway to be the better choice for myself
I agree we painted ours straight away, all the plywood or whatever wood we had was like living in a shed. Why do they build with that wood? Then stain/ varnish to highlight?
Hi to you Greg & Victoria , you will have the time of your life with the narrow boat, i would suggest that you find out the make and model of the cassette toilet, you find they do refresh kits to change the tank the seat possibly seals also , but i would recommend you look for a pump out system, will make a huge difference. we have in the past had three boats on the Thames in Surrey now we are caravanning around the uk . Have a great time navigating around the water ways. Best wishes Clive
I see that you used your head and not your heart when purchasing your boat.?? All I can say is enjoy your life on the canals ..my family members have lived on canals for over a hundred years. I don't think any of them would have changed decision to live on a narrow boat.. I once asked my heart grandfather why he remained on the canals .?? His only reply to me was one word ...freedom... That was the end of our conversation. Over seventy years I learnt what he meant by that what other home can you move if you don't like the view from your window or don't like the neighbours.???? All the best for the future.
Is it for living on or weekends? We’re live aboard and port hole’s for us was a big no. We sold that one and have proper windows to let light in and have a view. A port hole for bathroom and bedroom then big windows.
Amazing Vicky 🎉

@@MoanAlot-n4r weekends at first then liveaboard. Would have preferred larger windows, but the portholes were a compromise. Let’s see how we get on..
@ plenty have them, just something we didn’t get on with. Enjoy
We have just bought Linda 👍
Wonderful!
