We were so happy to see you both well and safe. I did want to say that I so appreciated seeing your vlogs when you were sick and then when you started to recover because you were the very first person we saw sick. You gave me so much hope that we can all get through this crisis. So thank you.

@@FloatingOurBoat this was the reason we ditched our TV licence last year. I couldn't cope with the way they were reporting the crisis. It was overblown panic all the time, not a measured response at all.

Just wanted to let you know that this Vlog and the following one, #90, are in the top 5 of all of the narrowboating videos I have enjoyed since discovering you and your fellow boaters!
There is the secret fleeting "silver lining" of the covid crisis in that the aspect of having the entire world to yourselves really came across dovetailing with that same annual aspect of spring itself. Thank you, Fran, for identifying and taking several moments with the pups in the wild garlic, and the shot of the dogs swimming in the canal, esp. with the quintessential stick was most lovely.
Love watching to see what your up to. My sister used to live by the canel in loughborough. I have lived for years in Canada but its good to see how beautiful Britain is.

Hi Lee, there are lots of stories of wildlife making the most of the lack of people about. Or maybe we are all a bit more observant.
I've noticed the dawn chorus a lot more since lockdown, as my sleep pattern has changed....and I sleep with window open...it's beaitiful, amazing...I hadn't noticed it for years ...rather like you noticing more details of the spring...we are all slowing down and seeing/hearing more .... looks lovely where you are moored. Take care xx
Ther have been lots of reports of wildlife being more active, but I actually think it is just that we are all more aware.

What a lovely intro to spring ,you are about 2 weeks a head of us in Canada.That morning chorus was just beautiful along with the wild flowers ,fish and birds and your bower in the woods even with the garlic .Thanks so much stay safe and take care

I’m so pleased to see Rich looks so much better. That’s a beautiful spot you’ve found to sit on an evening, I’m so envious! That recipe looks so easy so I’m going to give it a try. I have the corn flour, Masa Harina that I use for tortillas but I just can’t seem to get a good flavour so I’ll give these a try. The video may have been short but it had everything, good chat, great photography, lovely countryside and a recipe. Shame about the specs. Thanks as always for sharing your adventure. I can well understand your towpath being super busy. In Adelaide bike sales are up by 100% - there are people walking, running and cycling everywhere. Such a lovely vlog. You both look so at peace with nature all around you. I will try your flatbread Fran. I make naan in the same way but I use self raising (250g) and 250g of greek yoghurt (salt to taste). That makes up to 4 9 inch naans and is lovely. even better if you leave the batter in the fridge overnight. I have been sat in the garden today in Morecambe. It is so quiet and the birds have been quite happily flying into the garden. They appreciate the quiet I think. I have enjoyed the peace but I miss being by the canal so much! I am so glad you are feeling better Rich, you are in the right place for rest :). Ian
