The painting bricks sweater looks amazing. I really like the combo of grey and pink; it's not a pairing I would normally think of, but it looks so good that I feel inspired to make my own :)
I used to use the bulb pins like that but now I have fancy end stoppers.😊 Mandy you might as well not try to show the printed out patterns since your QR code hides it. Also you insert the nice colored pictures. The only thing would be to leave those up a little longer so we can see what you’re talking about. I agree That cable sweater is very nice and dressed for a party🎉
Thank you Elise! 🙂 I will try to show the pictures longer so that way you guys can see them better. As for showing the printed patterns, I think it's just easier to have something to do with my hands 😂. I love the cable sweater. Sari Nordland has some great patterns and this one just reminded me of holiday parties 🙂
I think that's a great idea and I could probably get two hats out of two coordinating balls 🙂. I can't wait to see your Voyage! It would be a great pattern for advents ❤️
Your Voyager is GORGEOUS! I've only done steeking once and it was nerve wracking. Are you going to make that crochet sweater? I can't crochet, but that sweater sure is beautiful.
Thank you! I want to make the crochet cat sweater 🙂. The other one is gorgeous as well, but my heart is screaming at me to make the cat one. In highly contrasting yarn. So you guys might be seeing that soon 😂. I hope you are having an awesome week!
O wow, you made it with the steeking ! It's going to be such an amazing cardigan ! That crocheted sweater looks very nice indeed. As does the cat-pattern one. I wonder though; if the front is mosaic, with two colours, and the back just one coloured lace, wouldn't that make the front heavier ? How will that hold up with wearing ? I'm not such a good crocheter, otherwise I might try that bag, I'd think...
Thank you! I am thinking that since the crochet lace was more of a full coverage diamond pattern, that they might even out pretty well in the end. The back was closer to full coverage with well-placed holes making a diamond pattern. I am willing to give the sweater a try, I'm not great at crocheting, but I think it might be doable 🙂
You can do a textured hat with two colours. Just because a pattern is made for one colour doesn't mean you can't do it half and half, do the rim in a different colour, add a different colour trim, or even use 3 or more colours in stripes. We do it all the time in socks. I love textured hats in more than one colour.
Definitely 🙂 I always manage to forget this, but it's really important to remember that just because a hat pattern says it's one color, doesn't mean we have to do it in one color 😅. I have a lot of textured patterns that I've been thinking about doing and that might just be the answer, instead of trying to play yarn chicken 🙂. I hope you have a wonderful week!
I REALLY like your painted bricks sweater. It is beautiful! I like your style and podcast format.
Your voyage is absolutely stunning 😍 and your hats are lovely. I am sure they will do great 😊
Thank you so much! I've been having a lot of fun with knitting lately 🙂
Stunning job Mandy! X
Thank you! ❤️

If you're worried about running out of yarn, try using a coordinating color for the brim of your hat, then the rest on the top. That's what I do.
PS I'm watching your Voyage Sweater experience closely. Hoping to use that pattern for one of my advents this year!

Great job on the Voyage Cardigan, it’s so beautiful. I also like the sweater you’re wearing.
Thank you so much! I'm excited about how the Voyage Cardigan is progressing 🙂
Well done on the steaking!! Love the jumper you had on 😊
Thank you! 🙂

So awesome! Your Voyage steek! It is gorgeous and I can’t wait to see you wearing it.
Thank you! It was a great sweater to learn steeking on and now I'm already thinking about trying more color work cardigan patterns 🙂

Your Voyage looks so good! I really enjoyed your explanation of how you learned to steek. It takes some determination to learn a new skill 😁
Thank you! It was a fun process. I am glad it turned out okay 🙂
Love your sweater! 🙂

@@mandyvaughnknits I'm looking forward to seeing them. 😊
Congrats on your steeking! You did a great job!
Thank you so much 😀
Good morning from Cornwall England 🐬🏝️
Good evening (now that I'm responding to this), I hope you are having an amazing day! 🙂
You did a really good job with the steeking. I’m amazed how many hats you have knit.👍😊🧶
Thank you! I have a goal in mind to get a good amount of hats to donate to my kiddo's class 🙂
