Today, we're just window shopping! Sit back, relax, and enjoy.
Wondering if the texture of the yarn might obscure a minimalist knit/purl type textured pattern... Swatching will tell! But if that's the case, perhaps something like Braided Embers (several reddish versions in the projects) or Yeti Pull (maybe doing a larger size if you want more ease) would work.
Maybe not what you were looking for specifically, but I think the Bi-Color Snuggle Sweater would look great using two colors of your new yarn.
My understanding is that Sandnes Garn requires that you buy their yarn to get their patterns.
Well that is an absolute ridiculous requirement of theirs. Definitely won't be giving them my business.
@@stitchy_linn I’m not positive but I believe their patterns are free but you have to buy their yarn.
It is correct that you have to by yarn to buy a pattern but it don't have to be for the specific pattern that you want
You can also find free patterns, as well as paid patterns without the yarn, but from retailer stores. They also offer booklets of patterns where this sweater is included. I just don’t know if it has a digital version
@@vale1554 cool
I would recommend the Winter League Pullover. I did the Autumn League Pullover (same pattern, but with DK yarn). My favorite sweater I have made so far. I ended up using Berocco Ultra Alpaca Light and it is a very light and airy sweater.
I have knitted 2 autumn league pullovers now in King Cole Simply Denim dk. Absolutely love them. I adjusted the size to use 4mm as I preferred the fabric. Great summer/autumn pieces. I want to knit the winter league pullover soon.
😂Der Moment, als du dir die Wolle vor die Stirn hälst als Mütze hat sowas von Schwarzwald-Vibes.❤
I was just searching for a suitable bulky cardigan or sweater pattern! Thanks!
My pleasure! Thank you for watching. ❤
I'm not seeing that Sandnes requires you to buy their yarn to get the pattern. However, this pattern is only available in a publication. And I guess it's a magazine that Sandnes do. 😢
You can find Sandnes Garn patterns without having to buy yarn. They are often in booklets in other retailer stores. Franky sweater is one from 2022,I think you can find it for like 9-10 euros but I’m not sure if it’s available in online format.
Could you swatch a stitch pattern you love and then insert that stitch pattern into your frankensweater pattern? I've done that before with reasonable success
Oh my GOSH I love that the boucle base is Merino on Merino. I’m used to finding boucle yarn down here in NZ, particularly because I work with a lot of vintage yarns that I find in charity shops, but they are invariably wool wrapped with nylon or (if I’m lucky) cotton. If I found a modern brand down in this part of the world that offered a base like yours, I don’t think I’d be able to contain myself!!
Really great topic.. learning how to find patterns for a project is useful. Thanks
I dunno, gorgeous colors, I just can't get behind boucle yarn, its not my thing....but that's why there are so many choices, right?
I am literally knitting my own improv sweater right now while watching this with the Hue&Me yarn you mention! Serendipitous ❤️
To get a pattern from sandnes you need to find a shop(dealer) near you and by the pattern there (and you will have to purchase yarn from sandnes but not necessarily for that pattern)
I tried looking for the Franky sweater pattern in English over a week ago and I could not find it.
I think the Traveler by Andrea Mowry.
Blue Mouse Knits did the "Emberglow" chunky raglan. I was one of the pattern testers. It was the first jumper I knit. Super easy to follow, and she has tutorials online for the different skills required.
Edit: I can't find it on Ravelry, but she is on there as The Blue Mouse and from there you can find her website, which should have "Emberglow".
Her RUclips video notes that it will be released on 10/4.
Was wondering about Ravelry filters. I don’t like working with mohair but when I search for sweaters and cardigans all the patterns I seem to like have mohair. I’ve filtered by material to NOT mohair but those patterns still come up. Why?
What if you knit the patterns you like, but without using mohair?
I would also set the “yarn held together” filter to single strand only, and that might help!
Did you clear out your previous search and begin again to exclude Mohair?
