One other item you get with the XT-P that doesn't come with the XT is the Visco-4-Lock front diff which is a manually lockable front diff. Basically you have three drive modes with a three position drive selector switch, 2wd, regular 4wd where the Visco-Lock works as normal, then there is 4wd Lock where when selected it fully locks the front diff. Love my XT-P!
Any time. As far as I'm aware at this point, other than the XMR, the Visco-4-Lock front diff only comes on the XT-P and Limited. They started putting it on those very recently, like '22 or '23
I have the 2024 red base model got stuck in some really deep water for about 5 mins surprisingly it didn't fail me. I would love to upgrade my wheels and do a radiator relocator eventually tho😁
Started this adventure back in '80 with an ATC 110 Dad bought, IIRC, and he passed June '22 after a life of Polarises. Went to look at a HighLifter and saw it didn't have locking diffs, but CanAms do?! Local dealer is clearing '24 XT850s at $11K- is that a decent deal? Have a great weekend!
The XT doesn't have the locking diff either, you have to go with the XTP or XMR to get that. The 11k does sound like a good deal, I Think My 24 850XT was just over 12k and this dealer we went with is pretty cheap.
Thank you finally found someone that explains the difference between these models
You bet!

I didn’t know the xtp came with that. Thanks!

The xtp also has the ieb selectable engine braking.
I thought the XT had IEB as well? I could be wrong though.

That’s my plans for my 24 xt as well, it seems to get high centered pretty easy.

the 24' xtp come with front lockers, like the xmr.
With the XTP. you get the Visco 4 lok. as well I think
I don't think all years of the XTP came with it, i could be wrong though.
The xtp 1000R is crazy fast n eats up the bumps well
I bet, I’ll get a chance to ride an xtp eventually to check out those shocks.
I have a 24 xmr but have no clue what difference is in the gauges
I think they just got the older style.
I’ve been seeing people say the XMR has a stronger diff … I’ve looked at the parts diagram and they all look the same to me … do you know.
I’m not 100% sure but I think the xmr may have came with a stronger rear diff, I have been told they were stronger as well.
Do a side by side live shot instead of showing small pictures
Thanks for the suggestion!
Xmr has a lower gear ratio
I forgot about that since they need it to pull the tires.
My xmr has the bigger display,it is alot better at seeing everything,
Ill have to check one out in person sometime.
