    Good stuff there Mr. Miller!
    I have a plastic ammo box mounted on the back and bolted through to a couple of aftermarket LinQ receivers for tossing items in and keeping the weather out.
    The paint on these machines looks so nice I completely removed my front rack/platform. I've had my ATV for a year and a half now and have not needed the extra mounting for storage yet. (Maybe I'll need it when I try camping with my ATV.)
    I guess I'm a softy as I have my suspension set to the softest settings. ;-)
    I installed my Garmin Montana mount to the left side of the handlebars. I just cut some of the plastic from the hand wind deflector away. It's working quite well. I also like the factory hand wind deflector.
    I have a 2023 Outlander 850 XT Max, so the tandem seater version. I have yet to actually have an extra person ride with me, so keep the passenger seat in storage. What I get with the LWB version is a slightly better ride. And.....I've created mounts where the passenger puts their feet for Rotopax fuel containers. They are completely out of the way saving any hassle with other storage needs.
    Maybe an idea for a future non-trail ride video of yours; What you'll be keeping in your rear storage. Here's what I have:
    Lens Wipes
    Knife, Tie-Wraps
    Safety Wire, Side Cutter
    Small Trash Bags
    TP, small Hand Shovel
    Flash Light
    1st Aid Kit
    LiPo Jumper Battery
    Duct Tape, two Rags
    Tire Patch Kit
    Small Air Compressor
    Thanks for putting in the effort on your videos!

    What’s up man! Haven’t stumbled up on your channel til now. If you’re gonna chase LeeRzrrider around better stiffen those shocks all the way ! Lol
    I just did the break in service on my 1000R XT yesterday . Engine oil/filter , front and rear diff , transmission . Definitely more of a pain to do than all my previous ATVs I’ve owned.
    I replaced my winch cable with 1/4” 10000lb synthetic. 50ft at 1/4” is tight, I cut 10ft off and put shrink wrap on the end . Still had to drill the hole out bigger on the winch . Can am factory winches are known for the steel cable being junk and kinked from the lot .
    I love the 500 Outlander we have …it’s a better design than our Gen2 outlanders , much quieter drivetrain , more comfortable, sealed compressed bushings , muchhhhh easier maintenance!
    It’d be a home run for Can Am to convert the big bore twins to that design .
    The fit and finish on Can Am is garbage compared to my compared to my Grizzly KQ 750 or even the Brutes I had .
    That phone Mount is slick bud .
    Mine died in the yard the first few days I had it. Did some quick research and popped the cowling off and sure enough it blew the Fuel pump fuse . I’m at 250 miles now and it hasn’t blown it again but it makes me nervous way out from camp lol.
    I’ve only taken it to Moccasin Gap because we’re usually in the X3.
    I’m thinking about just getting a 4 gallon rotopax for it and strap it to the back rack. It’s such a MASSIVE gas hog I’m not sure that’s enough ! Lol
    Good video brother !

    • @miillersoffroad
      @miillersoffroad  Месяц назад +1

      4 gallons would be way more than enough. We're averaging between 90-94 miles on a tank of 91 octane. The gas gauge typically shows empty at the 60 mile mark. 2 gallons of fuel gets us another 40 miles and that's hammering it. This is the case for the 850s and the 1000R, both are averaging the same fuel economy in our testing. My 24 model isn't tuned yet but I'm about to send it in now that my break in period is over. I just changed all my fluids as well. Thanks for tuning in man.

    • @joekearney
      @joekearney Месяц назад +1

      @@miillersoffroad Holy cow man ….I know the gauges aren’t super accurate but I’ve actually had my 1000R be at half on the gauge , from full, by 19-20 miles ! I know it’s adjusting to fast and I’m sure the last 2-3 bars last a long while but dang lol

    • @miillersoffroad
      @miillersoffroad  Месяц назад +1

      @@joekearney wow! That's really bad off lol! We have tested extensively. Even when hot rodding all day long we have never gotten less than 89 miles on a tank. Every time between 55-60 miles though it will show empty.

    • @joekearney
      @joekearney Месяц назад

      @@miillersoffroad so it’s adjusting way ahead of actual burn off . 55-60 showing empty then going another 20-30 miles . I guess I need to carry fuel and just run it til it dies and see lol

    • @miillersoffroad
      @miillersoffroad  Месяц назад +1

      @@joekearney that's what we do. Like I said, we've ran them empty and tested actual mileage a bunch of times. 2 gallon rotopax have been more than enough for us to get through a really long day.

    Hey bud, I've been meaning to ask you why you chose the 850 over the 1000? I'm hoping to get one this year or next. It's definitely hard not to just go and finance it right now. The struggle is real, ha! 😂
    Thanks!

    • @miillersoffroad
      @miillersoffroad  4 месяца назад +3

      Man I feel your struggle!!! Really two main reasons for me. The 1000 is absolutely on another level of power. It's insane. With power, comes weight. We've measured the clearance. And 1000 sits significantly lower than the 850 in the front. So new suspension is really needed right out of the gate in my opinion. The other contributing Factor was price. I sealed the deal on my 850 for 3k less than any other 1000 I received a price on. I have zero regrets on the purchase.

      WoW, okay that's good stuff. I appreciate your opinions and perspectives and experience. One more question 0 rush, I was wondering if the larger engines get hotter on the legs during long rides? Thanks again kind sir. Amazing video by the way. I was listening to your video on a JBL Surround sound. When you cranked up the Max, the sound is soO exciting!! I can't believe I never bought an ATV. I appreciate and enjoy how you explain everything on your upgrades. I'm looking forward to watching more of your content.

      @@09applejacks awesome man!!! We love ATVs, been riding for years. It's just the funnest hobby, especially if you have a few buddies to ride with. The thrill of conquering a challenging trail keeps us coming back for more. Does the 1000 run hotter? We haven't noticed any difference in temperature. You are forced to run 91 octane in the 1000. But we put tuners on the 850s anyways which will require the higher octane so it's not a big deal for us. The tuner absolutely unleashes power on these machines it's unreal. The 850 is crazy fast. The 1000 is definitely faster, but not by much on the top end. Low end torque, it's got more than anything else I've ever ridden. It will stand straight up effortlessly even on loose gravel. It's just crazy.

    How did you make that table? I don’t want to spend a fortune on a work table. Rather make it out of wood, but with how heavy these machines are hesitant to trust a DIY table with that weight!

    • @miillersoffroad

      Search "Jackass Sawhorse" and you will understand why these hold so much. Not a joke, google it. My buddy up in Missouri designed them and sells the plans to make your own. I have made 4 of them, pretty simple, but you definitely want his plans.

    Very good video however one question how reliable is this brand and that model in particular. I had Yamahas and I had pretty good luck with them to be honest with you I think I spend total of $200 in 7 years and unusual repairs was only the fan bearing. You think I'll be happy with this and how many hours or miles do you expect this thing to last worry free

    • @miillersoffroad
      @miillersoffroad  2 дня назад

      @@RK777PL thanks! Great question. We too have had great success with Yamaha ATVs, they are proven in the industry, in fact we still run a Kodiak 700 from time to time. The reason I went Can-Am is because of durability. Josh bought one in 2020 brand new. None of us knew anything about them. Here we are almost 3k miles of hardcore abuse later and he still hasn't had a single issue or problem. He has absolutely ABUSED that machine. For that reason, I went Can-Am. Matt went Can-Am back a few years ago and has had the same results, zero problems.
