Polaris should be good for 110hp same the the rzr 1K. It’s sounds detuned, curious to see what it would be like with a tune, clutch, exhaust. Love the comparison.
It’s about time someone actually compared both of these bikes sides by side! Now the Polaris, I would personally not turn it into a mud bike because once that belt box breaks, you get a new one, that one may leak like the highlifter.
Polaris makes pretty good trail rigs, I was going to buy a outlander back in like 2017 or 2018 but I didn’t like the suspension compared to the sportsman, and I didn’t need something with a bunch of power because I live in Montana and I use my bike for trail riding, hunting, and to ride along fence lines to fix fences
Not fair at all clutching is very important in a race and the tune come on u got to b stupid or not no shit about performance if u think that would b a fair race
im not a polaris fan but i bet that polaris is more stable and faster in the trails just because of the smother power and wider stance plus i think if you put a pipe n tune n clutch kit in the polaris it would be a differnt animal also and id bet would keep up with the can hammed plus it would look bad ass with some 30s mud tires
even just the Soortsman 1000 XP is better on the trail than the Can Ams, Can Ams are to squirley in the corners and have to much front end dive when corning...
i looked it up and s means The 2022 Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 S is a four-wheel-drive utility-turned-sport ATV that offers a riding experience and level of performance that can only be fully extracted by advanced and expert-level riders
I say build the polaris as a mud/trail rig. Build it so you can mud it when you want or when the can am breaks but also make it to where it’ll still rip in the trails without feeling like you’re gonna spin out into a tree
I'd like to see you put the Big Mud Tires back on the Outlander & then race the Sportsman, that will show everyone the power difference between stock tires & bigger tires. Great video guys, see you on the trail.
Bring them both to the Hatfield McCoy trails. Get them on some actual technical trails that SxS's also use. Let me know which one stands out as the better unit then. That 55" stance on the Sportsman XP 1000S makes such a huge difference. The CanAm is better on straight, flat, and smoothe ground. Soaking up the trails is all the XP 1000 S...... You should have gotten the Scrambler XP 1000 S if you wanted a more sports / racing based Polaris.
I just bought my second Sportsman 1000 S, both have Walker Evans shocks. The suspension and wide stance of the Scrambler and sportsman 1000 s make them the absolute best rock crawling quads on the planet! These machines Drive completely different from any other quad on the market and there is a substantial learning curve if you want to drive them aggressively. They have a tendency to understeer so you have to learn how to hammer the throttle and push the ass end of the machine around to Corner effectively. Also if Brayden is trying to do more aggressive trail riding at high speeds he would be much better off on a scrambler or he should at least buy some TFX pwrfor.ance shocks for the sportsman. Still the Can-Am 1000 xxc is much narrower and corners very well at high speeds. If you want a dangerously fast quad that will yank your arms off and do great in the mud buy a Can-Am. If you want amazing suspension with a super smooth ride buy a sportsman or Scrambler 1000 S.
Out West the Sportman is king. I would take that out in the crazy trails we have over the Can Am. Polaris is not trying to beat the Mud market but bring any Can Am you have to the rocks in Utah you will want to trade me.
I see a lot of guys riding those model Polaris’s and they’ve got outlaw 2’s, loud ass exhaust, and snorkel kits. I’m oretty sure a small lift would work too and not be taking away too much width…. Problem with a canned ham is if you had a lift like say a 2 inch lift. You’d be adding in height but taking away width… I’d say with the Polaris that wouldn’t be as much of a concern
l’ve owned nothing but Brp products including can am. My use is for everything. Fast dirt road riding, trails, plowing and farm use. The biggest issue I have with can am is the ride quality is just never dialed in, it’s good, but not good at anything. And the bigger issues for me were the shifter (like mentioned in the video) and the ITC throttle. The throttle sucks at anything but sport riding. It’s too touchy/jumpy. Road a few polaris rigs and I might try one.
So u said those two where the baddest four wheelers on the market but don’t forget the raptor 700r I have one I’ve modified it a lot and my raptor passes an outlander 1000 2023
I’ve owned a few Can-Am’s I currently have a renegade XXC, so I am biased to the brand, but I can say the Polaris is such a smooth machine. It rides like a fucking Bentley. Nothing is smoother and the EPS makes steering so easy
I think a small build serious on the polaris would be sweet maybe just like mud tires and a clutch system and then take them both to a mud park and conpare them
Braydon as close as that race was you really cant say the can am is faster the difference was literally the clutches and tune, both bikes stock i really think the Polaris takes it🤷🏻♂️
I feel like the Polaris clutching could be the difference because I have a Polaris 850(not the s model) and at 15 miles an hour. If I stop on it it’s standing straight up and has a ton of low end power.
A flash(TUNE), TAPP or STM primary and secondary spring and a nice FULL exhaust on that S i guarantee it will be bad to the bone too. But it’s not gonna out perform the canam. That things literally built for being rode Hard ASF
A good tune and exhaust would really wake the machines up I tuned my 850xxc renegade and put exhaust on it and it’s a night n day difference especially in sports mode
Not really, helped it with the get off for sure. Think it woulda been way closer if they were stock but I think the can am would still barley win and I'm a polaris guy
I say throw some add one to the sportsman but keep it simple, idk if I’d snorkel it or not cause of the front storage, it ain’t much but it does atleast hold cold snacks, straps, or even a jump pack
Dang that Can Am has got my head turning 👀 thats a pretty insane rig especially since ive been on the Polaris 1000 and have something to compare it to. Curious what people are saying about the heat issues on the can am though? I know all wheelers get hot, but my grandpas 2017 outlander 550 will torch your legs after about 15 min of riding 😅 something I wasn't a fan of with the design on the outlanders.
bikes come detuned and also have the softest clutch setup you can get for reliability purposes ... im extremely impressed that the xp was hanging with the canam :'D with "ONLY A TUNE AND CLUTCH" :'D
the fact the polaris walks thru the swamp on stock tires and barely gets pulled on by the canam... seen the canam in the same hole with a clutch kit a tune and huge mudders struggle :P i dont like polaris but you really did can-am no justice with this video haha the results are far different from your opinions even after you see the results yourself haha
Polaris is the Cadilac. Has the power and comfort. It weighs more than the Can-Am. Perfect all-around quad for farming, hunting, trail, mud, and swamp riding if outfitted better. I'll buy the 2024 or 2025 Polaris 1000XP Sportsman next. Thanks for the video.
i think you should get the two jetskis and do a mudding build series for the polaris and once you get the jetskis you need to take them to busco and launch them their with the polaris and compare the can am and polaris at busco to see wich is the best mudding machine.
Tune and clutch do it now the tune should definitely help that bottom end power problem and gain a Lil top too and clutch is just to make sure never slips
Hey, Braden, I think you need to take both of them down to the hunting lodge that you have and test them there. I would love to see a Hill climb between them.
Hey brayden i know you dont really like the polaris brand to much but i have a polaris 6 wheeler and it comes with its own bed. Its just like a 4 wheeler just way faster and 2 more wheel's in the back.
I ride Polaris and one of the main factors I like it is because Polaris keeps production with parts a lot more than can-am so for messing around it’s can-am and for comfort and just a nicer ride it’s Polaris.
Definitely think he should tune the Polaris and put an exhaust in it to make the race a bit more fair
Agreed
Fr
Agreed
Agreed and a clutch kit
I had a 1000. Stock for stock it’s still 3-4 lengths slower in 300ft than the Rotax 1000R.
That Polaris weighs probably 100-200 lbs more. I love how comfortable they are to ride all day and not be exhausted or need an advil once you get off.
It’s time to get a jet ski you got the likes.
Jet ski
he won’t
That’s what I’m saying
Fr he got the likes
Two actually
Polaris should be good for 110hp same the the rzr 1K. It’s sounds detuned, curious to see what it would be like with a tune, clutch, exhaust. Love the comparison.
Its not the same 1000 motor. The sportsman is a single overhead cam coming stock with 90hp. The rzr is a dual overhead cam coming stock at 110hp.
Can’t wait to see the snorkel kit and some 32 assinator build for the Polaris that’s gonna be a bad rig
Fr
You could probably clear 35
@@Bigredracing123maybe on the front
Two mud bikes
He should get a 420 rancher for the hunting season
It’s about time someone actually compared both of these bikes sides by side! Now the Polaris, I would personally not turn it into a mud bike because once that belt box breaks, you get a new one, that one may leak like the highlifter.
Yes!! You should build the Polaris into a mud bike. That way Christian can get around better in the trails.
Christian just bought his own can am
@@SullyOutdoors oh yeah, I forgot about that
Cristian just bought a can am 850
I’d be interested to see the scrambler put up against both of these
Exactly. The scrambler is more of polaris’ race bike than the sportsman. Sportsman is a trail bike
I love my scrambler, for a 850 it’s quick
@@nikcissell4857the sportsman that Brayden has is a scrambler with a sportsman’s body that’s what the xps is
Then throw in a renegade xxc 1k😉
Me too the new scrambler is better then the outlander
i think it would be really close if the can am didnt have upgrades but i think the can am has it. and im a big polaris guy but i think it has it
Lol polaris
Polaris makes pretty good trail rigs, I was going to buy a outlander back in like 2017 or 2018 but I didn’t like the suspension compared to the sportsman, and I didn’t need something with a bunch of power because I live in Montana and I use my bike for trail riding, hunting, and to ride along fence lines to fix fences
Could you imagine Braydon ripping a jet ski, he would be doing water donuts. But don't let Hailie deegan ride it because she might sink it 😂
Exactly the can am still had the tune and clutch upgrade would be interesting if he did the same with the Polaris and then matched them up
Let’s go Braydon let’s get some jet skis
Isn’t the exhaust and tune a factor in the can am being faster. Either way your videos are awesome
Hes gonna shove can am down everyones throats regardless brother.
Yes all of that adds hp and adds torque to make it faster than stock
He also added a better primary clutch which helps a ton
Not fair at all clutching is very important in a race and the tune come on u got to b stupid or not no shit about performance if u think that would b a fair race
Exactly, not a very good comparison vid. Needs to do it again once it’s tuned and stuff
Build it just like the can am and compare them mudding, that would be great content, and test it to the max just like you do the outlander.
im not a polaris fan but i bet that polaris is more stable and faster in the trails just because of the smother power and wider stance plus i think if you put a pipe n tune n clutch kit in the polaris it would be a differnt animal also and id bet would keep up with the can hammed plus it would look bad ass with some 30s mud tires
As a trail rider my Polaris is way smoother on trails than the can ams
even just the Soortsman 1000 XP is better on the trail than the Can Ams, Can Ams are to squirley in the corners and have to much front end dive when corning...
We need an og mudding video with the can-am and Polaris. Also with Christian's new Can-am outlander.
Definitely need to tune Polaris and re race. Definitely a stacked race on the can am side

YES BUILD ON THE SPORTSMAN DO IT FOR YOUR POLARIS FANS BECAUSE NOBODY HAS A BUILD SERIES ON A SPORTSMAN PLEASE PLEASE DO IT
It’s a pretty close tie in my opinion, but otherwise thanks Brayden for the vid!

Time for a sportsman build lol. Should do like a sporty utility/ hunting build

We need a Honda vs can am vs Polaris video
