I’m going to be visiting this place tomorrow morning. it’s only two hours from me. I hope they still have that squirrel T-shirt. I’m definitely picking that up.

Have eaten there often. Great food. The coconut cream pie is out of this world.

We enjoyed this place! We also just did a review of Yoder’s yesteday in the same area of Sarasota. It was also great! We will have that video out soon! Thanks for checking out our channel!

I always think that Amish restaurants such as Yoder and Der Dutchman are mostly for people who don't cook. YES, the food is good . Mostly comfort foods. Like mom used to make back in the day. My kids weren't impressed because I did like to cook all those comfort foods.

No shoo-fly because this is a restaurant from Ohio, not Pennsylvania. 😊

Good, but Der Dutchman getting expensive. Yet, I have to say it has good home style cooking and
when I can get some money ahead, I will go to the one in Sarasota. I was originally from Ohio and
have eaten at the one near Bellville and the one in Walnut Creek, Ohio even in the old restaurant.
For the buffet, add a drink, pie, tax and tip and you are talking around $35 per person.

I think the camera work could improve by going slower.
I actually got dizzy and could not finish viewing.
I am just giving my honest opinion and I hope I am not offending.
That truly is not my intention.

    Amish are GERMAN not Dutch

Amish communities sprang up in Switzerland, Alsace, Germany, Russia, and Holland, but emigration to North America in the 19th and 20th centuries and assimilation with Mennonite groups gradually eliminated the Amish in Europe.
