Lynette, you had a great haul from thrifting. It was so sweet of the boys to buy Oaklynn the bike, and her reaction was precious. Harper pushing the stool was so adorable. Maybe put some felt pads on the legs if your worried about your floor. Jackson is such an adorable goof ball on camera.❤

I am definitely a thrifter. When we go to Holmes County, I find so many great items. I make all my own dresses so I'll look for cardigans, shoes, sheets to use for lining in sewing. You got a good haul, almost something for everyone. The Bench was special, I probably would have picked it up, too.

Looks like it was a fun and successful thrifting trip. The white ceramic scalloped dish looks like my quiche dish. But yes, you can use it for many other things. Love the cute little stool for the girls. And how sweet that your son purchased the cute bicycle for Oaklynn. He has a generous heart!

Only laughing as I just got home from the family thrift on 17th street...I LOVE that store. Wanted to stop in at Blessings thrift also on CAttlemen, but was time to feed the ducks and chickens. Oddly, we dont need anything, but it is very relaxing to stroll around and sometimes you find something you didnt even KNOW you needed . For those coming down to visit..The goodwill bins and store in North Port are amazing, The FAmily Thrift in Sarasota has a gold mine, half price on Wednesdays..the blessings thrift has such a fun assortment...and if moving here...funrniture..Iversons, hands down. When we moved back we left all but our antique furniture behind...so started over. Iversons on Clark had eveything we needed, in our style, and a great price.

The round white dish is a quiche dish, at least I have one similar that I use for quiches. When I have time for myself, I am into scrapbooking and making homemade cards or putting together puzzles in the wintertime. I am not a big thrift store person, as I don't have children or grandchildren to buy for!!! I love that cute little stool!!!

I enjoy going thrifting with you. Thrifting is a good way to have a good time and saving money. I have many things in my home that I've bought thrifting,garage sales and estate sales. I LOVE Mission Thrift! It's practically the only thrift store I enjoy. We were looking for an old pocket watch. One that had no electronics. We didn't find one, but they had just sold one the previous week, so we'll keep looking. They were so helpful! And you could use that type of jewelry box to store sewing notions.
I love thrifting. While they are not thrift stores, my favorite stores to pop into when I have an extra few minutes are Ross, Marshals and TJ Maxx. I also love to wander through old, historic cemeteries. I love the little stool that you found!
Hello Lynette! You asked what we like to do when we have spare time. I am blessed to have part of one day each week to myself. I treat myself to a special coffee and bagel sandwich at our local coffee shop, do some devotionals and watch some of my favorite RUclipsrs, such as yourself. Then I hop over to a couple of the thrift stores nearby. It makes for such a relaxing day. Thank you for sharing your thrifting finds with us. I especially liked the stool. white dish makes a stunning salad for a group , lettuce on the bottom all other toppings place in rows onto of the lettuce my mother had a bench like that, put felt pads on the bottom

My husband’s Great Grandfather Edwin Best was on the Titanic. He was a First Class Steward. Both my husband’s parents had family lost when it sank.
I live in Ohio and I sure wish I had thrift stores like SRQ does. I wintered there a few years back for about 6 years in a row and at that time I was not into vintage but sure am now! That is my favorite thing to do if I have an hour or more to spare for sure!

Lynette you scored on your clothing. The skirts are darling!! So glad you had time to yourself. I am an empty nester and retired. I love going to antique stores and just getting lost in all the vintage and antique pieces. I like to think back to my childhood or the things my parents and grandparents had growing up. I get lost in my thoughts and don't have to think about anything. Your children are so sweet! How thoughtful and nice that Oaklin's brother bought her the bike. The little footstool is so precious! I have a collection of very tiny chairs that I keep up on a shelf above my window and I have one of those stools but in a miniature size. Thank you for taking us along on your thrifting day!

My favourite things to do when I need a break is to go for drive in country, with no destination in mind. To look at nature, sky, find small towns to explore, maybe as simple as getting an ice cream cone or coffee before I head home.
The other is to head to lake to think, pray, and read a good book for awhile.
With both of these experiences, I feel refreshed when I return home ❤

Just returned from my annual trip to Holmes County with my sisters and for the first time enjoyed a fabulous meal at East Main! Also purchased a few things at Leaf and Linen. We loved both places and definitely will return.

We have these lovely stools here in he UK , they are antique now I think . , the local ex service mens hospital in Erskine for retired servicemen they made them there, along with moses baskets and bassinet and other kraft goods . they are solid stools and last and last as you can see in that one you managed to get . What a great thrift haul. I love thrifting as a way of spending a few hours of me time and it saves so much money. Loved the idea of turning the dress into a skirt ..and the pitcher was beautiful. I wish we had more thrift stores in our area..but maybe I would spend too much money. Glad you got the AC fixed..it's in the 80's here in Michigan, so we have ours running as well..colder fall like weather coming in Thursday..can't wait for the cooler temps as I have some outdoor chores to get done. My nan had one that I loved playing with aswell 😂 and that was way back in the late 70s! So they really are a antique item,but adorable all the same and very interchangeable, stool,foot stool side table,storage/decor.

You got some lovely clothes and I'd make the dress into a skirt aswell, it will look beautiful with a little shirt or denim over shirt.
