I live in the kingdom of Spain, and this is a hopeful yet unrealistic reaction. People would say “they should be ashamed”, and then everyone would go back to their lives as if nothing changed. The flagrant corruption and abuse of power in a monarchy, even in one that claims to be a democracy, is so tied to the political system that people even believe this is natural, and that trying to fight it is futile… But I loved the comic and then the film.
This scene is so cheesy, yet at the same time...there was something genuinely so gratifying and _relieving_ about it. First time I watched it, I literally teared up because I was just so happy for Ballister and the massive W this was. Ah, I really am so impressed with the writing this movie had!!! It was SO good!!!

Even if they captured everything on camera people still would have claimed it was fake and someone else would have just replaced the director.
That was the only real thing that annoyed me in the move. Same with how bel starts to believe that nimona did it aswell although he literally saw her be goldenloin.

Thank you for calling it out. A lazier animation studio would have their feet sorta slide around, these folks took care to animate the feet really shuffling realistically.
Normally when a character asks a question in an animated project they 90 times out of ten either go "No they can't" or "Can sharks dance? ...I dunno can they?" but she understood the message and with confidence said "Watch me" and snaps her shark teeth playfully. She's very good at delivering her lines.
Genuinely, my only wish is that they'd gone with a limited series tv show instead of a movie, just so we could've seen more of this world and its characters like we do in the original graphic novel.

From the song choice to the montage to the silly animation this 2 minute scene was genuinely my favorite part of the entire movie so much happens so quickly with a silly dance
Normally dance scenes in movies, in none musicals, I kinda roll my eyes at as just to be silly and add movement for the sake of movement. This thought, the moment felt justified. Plus it contradicts the chaos of the kingdom which could have either felt too serious or making it too light would have not have felt impactful
These two are just so chaotically wholesome 🤩 Not exactly a father-daughter relationship but more than friends, they're their own unique, weird, loving, ineffable misfit duo. No single word can define them and it's perfect ❤🖤💗
When I watched this movie for the first time and this song came on OH MY GOD I FREAKED IT .. I bounced around my bedroom like a rabid coyote it was simply quite a scene. I was just so excited to hear my favorite Metric song in a movie that I was enjoying so passionately. I want more Nemona + Metric montages from this animation company

I love how this movie incorporated Rock into it. I feel like Non-Original Rock is a very rare thing to find in movies, especially now. It can help hype up a scene in ways only a distorted guitar can.

I really enjoyed that from the Director's view it looks like the kingdom is crumbing into chaos and riots but protests are important. Especially in this society which is still obviously feudal. Ballister being the first commoner knight is the whole point. These people are still commoners. That only changes with some good old fashioned rebellion. Protesting instead of outright riots is a good thing!
This scene cuts deep in alot of things, relatable energetically as well, like yeah, take that evil, lol...i loved this movie...the lessons are profound and timeless
