Outwardly his appearance may seem meek, but Pipi's power is directly tied to his mighty internal image. With a sword light as paper but with the cutting edge of legendary blades, he can effortlessly conquer any foe. Truly a hero worthy of bard's tales and lengthy poems.

I love how the end credits show how unbelievably heavy the dragon is. And Pipi just picked it up and carried it who knows how far back into the kingdom.

The fact that 5 cats could barley tow the dragon, and yet pipi can just lift it proves hes the strongest warrior of all time

I lose it every time he slaps the first princess off the screen, I can't tell you how many times i replayed that specific part 😭 the large, realistic hand was everything
I like to imagine that the nick in his ear is from him trying to sheath his sword but then cutting through it every single time, so now every time he puts his sword away it goes perfectly through the nick

I love how Pipi wasn’t even comparing the face of the princess, he was entirely focused on the crown. Even with the King he saw his crown, saw it wasn’t the crown of the princess, and then left. Fantastic animation all around I am now a Pipi enjoyer

That little effect where he's stationary but the scenery moves behind him, except for the lighting changing on him is glorious.
The purring at the end is what killed me! 😂
The short does something pretty unique for its kind. It starts out as a "look at this dumb baby haha" story, but continues on to give Pipi more emotion and move him to the receiving end of the cartoon's sense of humor instead. Every aspect of the production phenomenally serves to make you feel Pipi's annoyance.
...The show then switches back at the last minute to "idiot hero" comedy in, like, the darkest way possible. We need more F's in the chat for the princess and her father.

Pipi is the main character of every single fairy tale at once , and the princesses just accept it
I like the little details, how pipi doesn't even realize or get scared at the sight of the princesses skull but just the spider on the skull. Or how he only identifies who is who by what crown they're wearing.
FUN FACT: cats purr when either they’re they’re scared or to comfort each other.
It explains why he needs such a close look to realize the lizard isn't a cat

I feel so bad for all the princesses. They get knocked out, bonked, zapped, hard passed, and decapitated. Yet this is still the most adorable film I've seen in ever. A+++++

Also gotta love the fact that, you could kinda tell from the start, pipi was literally only using the crown to tell which princess was which. So despite all the evidence the real princess was long dead, he truly thought a dragon tangled in drapery with a crown on its nose was the princess.
I first expected him to see the crown on sheep princess and bring her back, but he knew better. And also, was it so wrong of me to think “maybe the real princess was cursed to be the dragon and the dead princess was a decoy and pipi is actually being really smart right now!”

He wasn't even afraid/disgusted when he realized he was holding the severed head of the cat princess. He was just scared of the spider.
To be fair, without the crown, neither Pipi, nor we, can really tell if it's the cat princess. Only that the big green princess is the cat princess, since she has the crown.
also pipi probably has the most strength in the entire kindom judging by how he was easily able to carry the princess while running across the country to get back to his kingdom when it took 4 grown men to drag a tied down one to the block.

I don't know if this joke was intended, but it's funny none the less. In the beginning of the short, we see the Cat King talking to Pipi in normal english, but at the end Pipi talks to the dragon in an animal crossing like speak. Which leads me to believe that the Cat Kingdom does speaks normal english, but Pipi just talks in complete gibberish to everyone else. I can't tell if that's what the plan was, but it fits Pipi's character so well.

Except the first one, neither would likely survive, and even the sheep cannot be sure, that it can leave the maze, or - if first follow Pipi - could successfully survive until she reach any civilization, or die by wild animals or bandits...

ok jokes aside this might be the most unique fantasy animation i've ever seen. i love how pipi's a little guy and while he has 2 brain cells, he can use them well when it comes to defeating enemies.
also the designs are so cute like pipi himself?? the cat horse?? the princesses?? the minotaur skull guy? the dragon?? the dragon is my friend now
but my favorite part has to be the colors and backgrounds. it fits to the fantasy theme so well yet it isn't dull and boring? every location has its own charm
I love all the backgrounds so much but I really like the background in the end scene of the dragon's tower. There's so much disarray and details!

Has it already been a year since this came out? Wow, time flies.. I remember watching this with my cat laying in bed telling him he’s a hero just like pipi… of coarse he didn’t care. Rest in peace simba, and thank you for the good memories I have with this video.
Moral of the story: be thankful for what you'll be able to have, don't reminisce about a specific thing you didn't get, and doing that may make you a more healthy person.

Whilst they may seem to have resemblance to our measly human counterpart, the classic horse, these are completely unrelated specimens and should be treated this way, though used for the same prospects - faster mobility - by other intelligent life forms. They are native to the regions of Cat Kingdom, the hometown of evolved anthropomorphic felines, where they were also domesticated to have distinct breeds and characteristics for specific/specialised regions, such as the Sphinx being for desert travel.
The cat we see here has made a good choice with this breed; the Siamese is a common combination of various traits desired for all-around travel, whilst still cheeper than other designer breeds.”
In all seriousness Pipi is actually ridiculously powerful, having an insane amount of durability, strength, stamina, and speed. He was able to withstand being crushed completely under the foot of a giant which most likely weighed around 10-20 tons, getting a horseshoe thrown forcefully into the back of his skull, along with being flung into multiple walls, all without slowing or showing any serious injury. Feats of stamina and speed include - rapidly running up numerous steps without tiring, and carrying an entire dragon all the way home by sprinting. Along with stamina he seems to be able to manipulate space time and move thousands of miles in seconds 3:40 4:17, to cover distance quickly without even moving from his spot. His main feat of strength is carrying an entire dragon, but i guess slapping a princess so fast she wasnt visible for more then 2 frames also counts, also he was able to dig through presumably stone without being slowed even slightly 4:35. The only thing Pipi lacks in is intelligence, which is made up for by his incredible luck. Over all a formidable opponent who could be mountain level on the power scale, possibly much higher if manipulating the fabric of the universe could be used offensively.
People when they realize that his strength is not consistent and it's only there for the plot.

I love all the little details like the frantic little slappy pawsteps, his sword blowing away, the animal crossing sound effect for the passed out sheep princess, the little cat-themed details in the background, I find something new and fun each time I rewatch it!

Let me just mention that the seeming smoothness of the animation is not due to having a high framerate or anything before gamers start polluting the chat. In fact, this animation would lose what you've identified if we raised the FPS. I'm not sure what FPS it's animated in, but I'd wager it's 24.

The subtle jokes in this are phenomenal the fake out door knock, and the fact that even tho other animals can talk pipi still sounds like an animal crossing character. Meaning thats how pipi sounds to everyone else as well

Really a fan of all the small gags that happened! Like when Pipi goes to knock on the door with his huge muscular arm, then to proceed to politely knock. The animation was so smooth and clean, and the voice acting was surprising and well done! (was truthfully expecting either animal crossing noises or just no talking, but it was a pleasant surprise!) And we can't forget about our hero Pipi! Loved how to the point they were, and they never lost a battle! Amazing animation!

I watched this all the way through and now I've gone back several times and paused and gone through frame by frame to enjoy all of the spectacular detail. The windmill having cat ears? The cathorse having little toe beans? The SINGLE dog in the cat city? Even the shine on the intro title? I love it. This is a beautiful, fantastic animation with an amazing comical story and I love it. I love you Pipi!
Everything about it is a masterpiece from the animation to the music to the foley. You guys should be so proud.

I went back to inspect all the princess crowns when our little hero mistoke a dragon for their dead princess lol appearantly thats what he kept checking for
Absolutely wonderful. I think my favorite bit of animation was on Pipi as he finally looks up at the dragon's tower. That little roll of his head against the wind just sold me. And the commitment to the twist there at the end was brilliant. Fucked right up, but perfect.
Ok this is just... absolutely charming. I've been charmed. The characters! The setting and world! The lighting! I love this so much.
Pipi really deserves more content in the future. He's a cat, he's funny looking, he's an honest worker, whats not to love??? The possibilities for this little guy is endless.
Also he must have caused the cat kingdom to wage war against every other kingdom considerando he left these kingdom princesses to rot and im almost certain he murdered the mole one
He's also a terrorist and traitor to his own country, how many cats died in that fire

Pipi seems like the character equivalent of a Nokia phone and I love it
Also: the purring in the last scene is perfect and also the fact that you’d made the dragon encounter scene legitimately terrifying after all of the goofy encounters is just 👌

I love the world building so much. The animation and design and music compliment the story perfectly.
Can we please take a minute to appreciate the voice acting and incredible sound design! You might not notice it on the first viewing, but the experience would be so different without it, spectacular!

the shear amount of detail in this is so great. for example:
each princess is an animal that would eat the animal that is its captor (other than the first and last one)
the story at the beginning mirrors the actual story
the FUCKING CAT HORSE and how it lands on its feet
the sound effects from different things (animal crossing noises, car noises for the dragon, stone moving for the moving of locations)
the meme comedy
the subtle 3d elements, such as the horse, minotaur’s head, and title card
the dragon is dressed up for something (lesbian???????????)
pipi’s hand and arm becoming realistic (door knocking, slapping the sheep)
the fact pipi isn’t bothered by the cat skull, but the spider
I love how fluid the animation is!! all the characters r so interesting
I really didn’t expect this to be THIS dark yet funny. Great job!
