While it might've not lasted much due to Jones' eventual firing and the closure of the OG studio in 63' or 64' (and with Bugs being retired for the rest of the decade), she could've brought some new life into the late classic LT era. Better late than never with her breakout role in TLTS I guess. I'd love to see some fan try to make a what if fan animation of Lola in a classic era short. Also, I often believe that Tex Avery might've been the most likely of the OG directors to come up with Lola had he stayed working for the Looney Tunes for longer, like around the late 40s-early 50s. He was one of Bugs' creators after all, and could've easily set up a similar "chaotically wholesome" dynamic between Bugs and Lola like the one seen here. Maybe Robert McKimson too, as he was around since way back in the early Bosko/Honey years and could've given his own spin on that dynamic, and he already had precedent with creating late-stage fan favorites like Taz and the early concept of Speedy. Though given how Porky's GF Petunia was quitely dropped once most of the main LT cast and formula were established (and only making occasional appearances since), I guess the other directors didn't find much room for keeping the Minnie Mouse-like archetype in the usual 1v1 or 2v1 chase rivalry setup of the standard classic LT short. And while she has certainly became more relevant and recurring as a late-stage main cast addition compared to, let's say Max within the Mickey gang, I feel like Lola is still very underutilized overall, most likely due to her "not a classic character" and "the girl from Space Jam" stigmas. On top of that movie's divisive nature, it also doesn't help that she didn't have that much screentime or comedic bits there as reference for later creative teams to work with. I mean, she's typically left out of throwback/classic styled LT productions and is otherwise only considered for more experimental/contemporary ones. Idk, she should've gotten her debut in one of those sporadic classic styled 90s shorts to give her a bit more credibility as a viable addition from the get-go. And I know it isn't exactly a fair comparison, but Harley Quinn debuted around the same time as Lola and has since become a definitive Batman/DC mainstay with plenty of creators giving her lots of screentime and diverse portrayals despite appearing decades after everyone else from that series. But hey, this show and subsequent LT media from the 2010s have shown that Lola can be very funny, endearing and a great addition to the cast despite everything. Sure, she lost plenty of her sporty/tomboyish traits in TLTS specifically but in her handful of appearances in New Looney Tunes, she had those back and combined with her later psycho airhead personality, making an even more realized character in theory. And while Space Jam 2 might've possibly left her "back to square one" as a contentious character, with how much that movie flopped and WB productions seemingly trying to distance themselves from it (like Rick and Morty recently dissing their SJ2 cameo) on top of TLTS continuously growing in popularity, maybe that would lead to this Lola being used again later on and becoming a proper mainstay. It's one of the funniest things the series offered in recent memory so hopefully that's the case.
To be frank - the audience back in the 40's and 50's for Looney Tunes probably would have been offended by this Lola. She's INCREDIBLY forward, and that's multiplied when you consider the timeframe. Women weren't usually looked at that way back then.
Everybody had adhd in the internet nowadays, especially the ones saying they had It, i think the real ones are too busy starting some proyect and not finishing It to even care 🥴
In real-life, yeah, it feels like a show that would've thrived these days but it came out at the wrong time. But the show is pretty timeless in regards to how the humor works and the plotlines.
I love how most of Lola's iterations portray her as the chill and laid-back one in a group of "looney" characters, while this iteration's the total opposite. She's extremely cartoonish and hyperactive in a mostly down to earth world where characters just live day to day lives.
I was sitting here like “Yeah, I get the comparison, but I can’t relate” right up until that point. 😭 I literally carry a toy around with me in my bag because it makes a nice jingling sound.
@@sharpeningtheaxe i normally carry a rubix cube a laser pointer pen a bouncy ball a plushie a fidget spinner some bubble wrap and a squeaky stress toy
She’s actually very smart and creative, but crazy because she’s broadly disorganized. If she were only more organized she would be a super genius. Such is the path of the ADHD person.
Fortunate are the idiots with ADHD, because they can point and say "if only I was more organised", where the average idiot can only blame everything else
She's a likeable kind of stupid where you can see her logic, like when she thought pizza was a food only sold in Chinese buffets, referencing how Chinese buffets use foods Americans are familiar with in order to guarantee they stick around to eat.
She gets pulled over by a cop, 5 seconds later is already planning on running the prison. Get yourself a girl like that. Also props to that cop for having an INCREDIBLE amount of patience for lola's antics. Give that man a raise.
sorry if this question might seem dumb, im learning english and, would you explain to me what is antics please? I could google search it up but I want a person explaining not a dictionary
@@Ana-dg2dt Its like actions, like how Lola was taking too long to get her drivers license because her purse was too full and she kept chatting about stuff she found instead, while the cop waited patiently, just for her to reveal she did not have a license at all So.... Im also not an english speaker XDDD but trying to explain it, its pretty much little actions you do. Like naming every bird you see on the walk way home, counting how many airplanes you see on the sky in one day, kind of stuff like that??
@@Ana-dg2dtAntics is similar to hijinks, or tomfoolery. It is someone fooling around, doing silly stuff, acting kind of dumb. It can be used to mean outrageous also. It can be used in a non serious way, "Ha! It is not a super common word in my day to day.
@@Ana-dg2dtantics can be like chaos, usually specifically meaning chaos with an intent of mischief, trouble making or drama. In reference to Lola, antics means the chaos and trouble lola is causing the people around her, though in this instance it is not intentional, just out of her lack of social awareness
ADHD so bad I was gonna search for something else before randomly finding this and watching all the way through. Now I can’t remember what I was gonna search for.
Lola and Daffy Duck are the funniest in this show. Also, kinda feel bad for Lola, because she is head over heels for Bugs, but he is really annoyed by her antics. In real life, people that different wouldn't work out.
I think that’s what makes them so cute. The fact that he has a hard time putting up with her at first but eventually comes around to accepting and loving her rather than seeing her as a burden. (But unfortunately unrealistic indeed)
l know two people that come off as super different. One of them has adhd and is generally a chaotic weird menace and the other is pretty reserved, much more serious, and calm. You would think they would get a long but they are a really healthy couple.
She's so silly and cute, I love how she's always amazed by everything and always praising Bugs for his looks, is so sad that Bugs is annoyed by her sometimes 😭 I love her so much
Yeah Lola is extremely endearing as a character but being realistic it would become annoying after a certain amount of time if you're a person who likes any kind of peace. I could hang out with Lola for MAYBE 30 minutes but I would probably be completely exhausted afterwards.
For those who were wondering, girlfriends who have ADHD are almost identical to how Lola is acting with Bunny. Constantly talking (and not with you, with herself) to the point where you’re just sitting there and listening 70% of the time. Always moving around, making sounds, something on her mind, its amazing. xD
This is how the thoughts in my brain are. I think I have done all of these types of monologues or actions at least in my head, but almost all out loud too.
I will always love the Space Jam Lola, but this is the superior version of Lola. I’m glad Bugs came around. Not too bright, so energetic she’s a scatterbrain, but she’s a sweetheart. A nut, but an earnest nut.
I alsow get upset when people judge adhd or autistic coded caracters or caracters i relate to. Don't worry it isn't anything against adhd they probably just don't ĺike the Bubbly caracter types... I love them more than life tho tbh ^^
i love this version of her. i never liked the sexy version of her, because she was only that, sexy. but in this show she is still very pretty but have a personality that really shines.
As someone who has ADD and just stared at someone crossing the pedestrian crossing without slowing down, yes the driving. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to drive again I hate myself. (No one got hurt except my self confidence)
I don't know if I have ADD, I will make some tests in some weeks, but my therapist is pretty confindent I could have it. I was before years quiting car driving for my license. It was very traumatic with my dad to practise. I can really relate to Lola, I do really similar stuff, it's nearly creepy. I think we are bros.
Unironically such a funny and well written show. It does what the OG did, entertains adults, but in a meta way you'd expect since it is so far removed from the OG.
OG Looney Tunes tried to be timeless but inadvertently is a bit dated in regards to how jokes are told, but here the show adheres more to a modern sense of humor.
Bugs: “So how did you break your leg?” Lola: “oh I was here for a check up and I slipped getting up on this table” lmao I love how he just listened to her tell that fake crazy story just for her to end up saying that😭
Going from a smart and capable female character who was comfortable with her looks and personality into a dumb blond stereotype is better? How is that better? Are women like that supposed to be dumb?
Og lolo was for boys to get boners she dint have a personality that isnt hot and doesnt like being called doll and thats it While this lola is insane and histerical and fit the looney tunes cast She isnt the only dumb one in the show Theres daffy and hes just like her And her personality isnt just dumb but she is kind, insane, extremely supportive And also So your problem is if WOMEN are called dumb its bad but if MEN are called dumb its common sense? Seems like sexism to me
I think both versions of Lola are good, just in different ways. The OG is endearing in being sexy, independent, and self-respecting, while this version is endearing in a hilarious, clumsy, relatable kinda way.
In my opinion both Lolas are independent, the new Lola is just living in a super rich family and doesn't have to so anything in her life💀 But I prefer the new version of Bugs and Lola, because they're obviously cartoonish, but at the same time they're relatable to real life scenarios
@@DoYouLikeTacos Hell nah, she's incredibly stup¡d, annoying, inconsiderate, have no common sense or self-awareness, she's the fkng worst, everyone here is like "ADHD relatable queen" I have ADHD, that doesn't make us stup¡d like this btch, she's so annoying omg 🙄
As someone with ADHD I both love and hate Lola. She's cute, quirky, innocent, but her ADHD can be a little annoying to me at times. Most likely just because I see myself in her and there have been quite a few times that I've been annoyed with myself- is that a bird?
Even if she’s a little slow….well more slow and not able to read the room at times. It’s still sweet how Bugs actually cares about her. Even if he gets annoyed with her a lot.
She's not slow. If she was slow, her brain wouldn't be working this fast and sharp. She is bad at preventing disasters, but she handles them like a champ.
She's scatterbrained but has an underlying logic on top of being relatable, which keeps the viewer from getting annoyed with her antics. SpongeBob suffered from that for a long time with both SpongeBob and Patrick.
I never watched loony toons as a kid so I always assumed Lola's voice would be a mix of sexy and cute, but I'm pleasantly surprised that she just sounds like a regular woman
This reminds me of someone i dated with anxiety. I feel their's levels of depth to this portrayal though. If you don't know them very then they seem random and flighty exactly like lola appears so the anxiety is less obvious. Then when you get to know them, you see a more serious side to all of this where the anxiety is actually involved. Not for the faint of heart in my opinion.
ADHD often comes with an anxiety factor. And sometimes even rejection sensitivity. We know our brains don’t work normal and it causes us all kinds of struggles & discomfort trying to be a part of society lol
Bro I love this version of Lola I hate the sexy one honestly I love this ADHD funny Lola and I love how bugs hates how Lola acts like this and bugs went on a date with her anyway 😂😂😂
I understand that Space Jam created Lola, but I truly wish THIS is the way that Lola were normally portrayed. The Space Jam version doesn’t really have a personality outside of the other Tunes finding her attractive, and in the sequel she was better, but still wasn’t really much of anything. Kristen Wiig’s Lola Bunny is one of my favorite Looney Tunes characters and I’m sad she only gets to be Looney in this show alone.
I haven't seen new looney tunes (originally called wabbit) but from what I understand, her personality there is based more on this version than the space jam one. also there's the rabbits run movie special thing but that's basically just an extension of this show
This looney tunes is the best, couldn't have imagined they can come up with this. This is just beyond words. Daffy, buggs , lola, tina, speedy, all are best

I love how most of Lola's iterations portray her as the chill and laid-back one in a group of "looney" characters, while this iteration's the total opposite. She's extremely cartoonish and hyperactive in a mostly down to earth world where characters just live day to day lives.
The bells bracelet was so painfully relatable, there's no way she doesn't have ADHD

Fortunate are the idiots with ADHD, because they can point and say "if only I was more organised", where the average idiot can only blame everything else
she is very dumb often though
She's a likeable kind of stupid where you can see her logic, like when she thought pizza was a food only sold in Chinese buffets, referencing how Chinese buffets use foods Americans are familiar with in order to guarantee they stick around to eat.
As someone with ADHD, I can confirm this is very accurate 💀
The voice on this VA is so CRISP bro
She gets pulled over by a cop, 5 seconds later is already planning on running the prison. Get yourself a girl like that.
Also props to that cop for having an INCREDIBLE amount of patience for lola's antics. Give that man a raise.

So.... Im also not an english speaker XDDD but trying to explain it, its pretty much little actions you do. Like naming every bird you see on the walk way home, counting how many airplanes you see on the sky in one day, kind of stuff like that??

I don't think so at all otherwise why would he still be dating her. He was just overwhelmed at first but got used to her later on
I disagree
I think that’s what makes them so cute. The fact that he has a hard time putting up with her at first but eventually comes around to accepting and loving her rather than seeing her as a burden. (But unfortunately unrealistic indeed)
l know two people that come off as super different. One of them has adhd and is generally a chaotic weird menace and the other is pretty reserved, much more serious, and calm. You would think they would get a long but they are a really healthy couple.
She's so silly and cute, I love how she's always amazed by everything and always praising Bugs for his looks, is so sad that Bugs is annoyed by her sometimes 😭 I love her so much
Thats people. Everyone gets annoyed at someone else if you spend enough time around them. Like the show, it doesnt mean you like them less though.
Yeah Lola is extremely endearing as a character but being realistic it would become annoying after a certain amount of time if you're a person who likes any kind of peace. I could hang out with Lola for MAYBE 30 minutes but I would probably be completely exhausted afterwards.

Forgetting to go to the bathroom as soon as she's through the front door. SERIOUSLY some ADHD writer put so much love into this Lola 😂
For those who were wondering, girlfriends who have ADHD are almost identical to how Lola is acting with Bunny. Constantly talking (and not with you, with herself) to the point where you’re just sitting there and listening 70% of the time. Unironically such a funny and well written show. It does what the OG did, entertains adults, but in a meta way you'd expect since it is so far removed from the OG.

In my opinion both Lolas are independent, the new Lola is just living in a super rich family and doesn't have to so anything in her life💀

"My voice'll get really deep... I'll run the place" 😂
As someone with really bad anxiety but still likes to try and date people: 😅 I’m very lucky my partner can handle it
ADHD often comes with an anxiety factor. And sometimes even rejection sensitivity. We know our brains don’t work normal and it causes us all kinds of struggles & discomfort trying to be a part of society lol
I've got anxiety and it's not like this, for me anyway. It's more of a sense of dead and always a bit on edge feeling like you're on a precipice.

@@gamehero6816 The Looney Tunes Show.
I understand that Space Jam created Lola, but I truly wish THIS is the way that Lola were normally portrayed. Kristen Wiig’s Lola Bunny is one of my favorite Looney Tunes characters and I’m sad she only gets to be Looney in this show alone.
