    Questions I answered in this video:
    1. Do you have to do the Disney College Program to do a Disney Professional Internship?
    2. Do you have to have already graduated to do a Professional Internship?
    3. What is the usual set length of a PI?
    4. Are there Disney PI’s outside of Walt Disney World?
    5. Do you have to apply to all the PI’s you want at once or over time?
    6. Does your phone screen count for more than one position?
    7. Do I have to have the major that the application/position asks for?
    8. Does it matter how much work experience you have before applying?
    9. What work experience did you have when you applied for a PI?
    10. Can I apply for a CP and a PI at the same time?
    11. What is your living situation like as a PI?
    12. Are you guaranteed a job after your internship?

    Hey there! Great videos. I did a CP at WWOS last year, and I'll be graduating in December. These videos motivated me to go for a PI as well as wanting another CP. Keep it up!

    Your videos are so helpful! Thank you :) I am currently in "under review" standing for the three management internships I applied for. Can't wait for your next videos!

      "Under Review" is such a good sign! It means that the recruiters are looking at your resume! I wish you the best of luck! Please keep me updated with how everything is going! :)

    Your trophy is beautiful. Was that a Disney gift for completing your internship?

    • @Tadasherz
      @Tadasherz  6 лет назад +3

      Hi! Thank you! Yes, I got my "Mouscars" which is like a Disney Oscar for completing my internship. Not all interns get it, but my department gave them away to us!

    Thank you for making this video! I was nervous because my major is similar to some of the listed majors, but aren't the exact ones listed! I was definitely nervous about that! Haha

    • @Tadasherz
      @Tadasherz  6 лет назад +1

      Majors don't really have to match up! Just remember that when you put down work experience, try to make it fit to the position that you are applying to and in your cover letter.. you can address more about why it interests you even though it isn't in your major.

    Hey there, thank you so much for this video. I know this was published two years ago but I’m an incoming first year university student this fall and thinking of applying this summer for their Cultural Exchange Program (I’m from Canada) in summer 2021 at WDW. Well, it’s not DCP but hopefully I can take Disney classes too. Like what you said, if I do get in, can I ask someone to job shadow them, probably an accounting intern, when I’m on my day off? It’s a 2-3 month program and I want to get the best out of it. Also, have you heard of the rotational accounting internship? I hope you don’t mind answering these questions. Thanks

    Can PI’s take the classes that Disney offers? I think those extra seminars, classes, and tours and stuff sound SO cool but can you still do the, while doing a PI?

    Hi! First off, thanks for posting these videos! I am also a communications major and have my first screener this Monday with Disney! So excited! I know you have a video talking about your experience during the internship. I too would hope to extend my internship and move into a full-time position at the conclusion of my program. Is the money you made enough to support yourself in Orlando? Do you feel like most interns that are recent grads move into full-time roles? Again, thank you for your videos! They are a huge help :)

    • @Tadasherz
      @Tadasherz  6 лет назад +1

      Hi! I'm so glad that these videos are helpful! Not all interns are guaranteed full-time positions because the roles that you would do during a PI, are roles that other interns will fill in after you did your semester or year. But, if you really want to work for Disney. I would highly recommend going onto Transfer Genie on the Hub towards the end of your internship and put in for a transfer to another role after your PI is done (attractions, merch, front desk, etc.). You wouldn't have to be in that role too long if you don't want to, but at least you would still have access to internal postings and the opportunity to continue networking! And I had enough money saved up from my internship with runDisney and previous internships I have had in the past. So, money hasn't really been a problem. Especially, since I continued to be employed by Disney even after my PI.

    How much are you paid during a professional internship? And how much is the starting salary for a full time leader role?

    I don't get why Disney is not willing to review different ideas from outside artist who are much better then some of theirs

  • @Pandaide
    @Pandaide 6 лет назад +1

    Yes for the generic Disney job one! But alsoooooo I'm assuming the answer is yes but if I spontaneously sign up for a virtual college class- that would count for a PI, right?

    • @Tadasherz
      @Tadasherz  6 лет назад +1

      Yes!! As long as you are enrolled in some type of college class, even if it is virtual, then you are good to go! :)

    • @Pandaide
      @Pandaide 6 лет назад

      Awesome! One of my leaders suggested I sign up for some easy like one credit course online just to say I was a student so I wanted to make sure no school was off limits!

    • @Tadasherz
      @Tadasherz  6 лет назад

      Yeah! You should be fine! But just make sure that the online credit course is also valuable for you too. Internship can be hard to get and competitive. But definitely make sure you are at least enrolled in one class!

    Great video!!! A couple questions..
    How many PIs did you apply for?
    How many times did you have to apply before you were accepted?
    Do you think I need to have work experience or an internship that relates to what PIs I apply for?

    • @Tadasherz
      @Tadasherz  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks so much! I applied for about 8 internships, and I only applied once before I got accepted. And work experience, internships, and volunteer work are all very important parts of PIs. So I would make sure to best word your experience to make it similar to the positions you are applying for.

    Hey! 1) thank you sooo much for making this video! And 2) I’m only 16 and I want to work for Disney more than anything in the future, is there anything you recommend doing pre-college that will help me in the future??

    • @Tadasherz
      @Tadasherz  6 лет назад

      Yes! It all depends on what you really want to do and what your major is. For me.. I knew I wanted to get into events. So, I would volunteer at an event at least once a month. You can get connections with the people you volunteer with and they might even find an internship later on for you when you are in college!

    Do the professional internship pay like the Disney college program?

  • @pixiedustandcastles

    What if I don't have experience in my major? I did a CP but that's all. I work in administration but want to do graphic design and that is my major.

    • @Tadasherz
      @Tadasherz  6 лет назад

      I would still try to get more experience in whatever area you apply to for a PI. They look for experience and what you can bring to the table that is new.

    I graduated last November from my Masters, can I still apply for a professional internship even though it's been past the 6 months that they say graduates can apply within? I also live in England so would this be a problem too? I would love to work for Disney in america and the London PI's always say you have to be an undergraduate. Thanks!!

    Hello! I accepted my position for a DCP about a month ago and I am so excited for this opportunity! I have started looking into more opportunities in the future and I have become very interested in applying for a PI when my program is done! I was wondering if you knew anyone with a PI in recruitment or theatre? I'm a theatre major, but I have been a recruitment intern for my college for several years now and it is something I'm super interested in continuing. Thanks for the video!

    • @Tadasherz
      @Tadasherz  6 лет назад

      Ahhhhh congratulations on your DCP! The DCP was the best experience of my life! And as for the PI, I personally don't know anyone with a recruitment PI. But, I know it is a position they off as a PI and you would have to be on the lookout in the internal postings for when a part-time/Full-time/Season position opens. And with Theatre, when you get into your DCP... do some meet and greets with people in entertainment because there is some PIs there as well. Entertainment, not as in character performers/dancers, but more into the planning of the characters, all the disney shows, etc.

    Hey, i'm from mexico and i'm really interested in the disney intern, but i have like a lot of questions before i apply, you get paid? And i read that i have to provide my own house and transportation. So i havent decide yet if i will do it or not. I really want it but i have sooo many questions about it and watch your video gives me a little hope. Thank youuu!

    • @Tadasherz
      @Tadasherz  6 лет назад

      Hi There! It is a paid internship. For the DCP, they do provide housing. But for the professional internships, the housing is on a first come, fist serve basis. Once you get accepted into the position, your recruiter will ask you if you are interested in housing.
