I think it’s much more inline with Nokia as a brand. Clearly selling feature and budget phones have started to pay off. The X30 is a clear upgrade and I’m very happy about that screen and performance. The design is very stylish apart from the camera. But in all honesty the camera style and placement isn’t bad, rather it’s just that I’m a true Nokia fan and want the circle back. I’m personally pretty impressed initially with what I’m seeing so far. Great video as always👌
the G60 and X30 is quite similar on the specs sheet. Except the screen and battery size. AMOLED and IPS (I moved from AMOLED to IPS when i bought the X20 and traded it up from Redmi K40)... Do think it makes more sense to get G60 but cant wait for you to do a full review on it. The glass to me makes no difference cause either way we leave the original screen protector and put a case over it.. That is just me. Cant wait for your G60 review.. :D
Chamfered edges make it look like the Nokia 6/N1/iPad which is a pretty cool throwback. My expectations were so low for HMD I thought they'd use a cheaper looking design. A shame about the symmetrical camera though.
i think this competes with sony xperia 10 iv. but otherwise yeah agree it could've used a better chip since the isp on the snapdragon 695 is a downgrade from the 690
Looks very nice and expensive. Will wait for full review of this one. You say this a sort off "successor" of the Lumia 830. In the first part of this video, it reminded me of my Lumia 830. I miss my Lumia 830.
As some have already pointed out; it does indeed feel like the winds of change (for the positive) are here! The X30 really looks promising. But do you know whether some of the camera software features will be coming to other devices e.g. XR20? Especially I'm thinking about the wide-angle and main camera fusion. Brilliant video btw!
That's what I keep thinking-when XR20 was not given the Pureview software, I was baffled (the Zeiss lenses aren't the issue, I dare think, but the software). I said somewhere else it's like using a potato to power your device... XR20 has the card slot, the wireless charging, the durability, and completely fine for most specs overall (I'd rather have an okay set of specs on something my cat can't destroy flinging an innocent device onto the floor repeatedly like she did my N95 I still grieve over-so many drops but it eventually had the internal strip connecting the motherboard and screen disconnect! 🙀😹😭😿That one had a fantastic Zeiss lens that had a bit of optical[not digital]zoom and kept outperforming crazy expensive phones for years and years.) I wish they'd actually craft "the one" with a sleek version and durable version, both with a headphone jack (which works to listen to FM radio, super useful in places with bad signal strength like many parts of hospitals/clinics and anywhere too far from windows or blocked in by concrete buildings), microSD slot, stereo speakers (I mean, bare minimum there) etc-I feel like they've lost their way since they moved manufacturing to China after the N9 (I also REALLY wish they hadn't given up on Symbian OS and/or the N9 experimental phone's that was truly beautiful stuff).
Slightly better than some of their more recent offerings. Though still nothing to get all that excited about in my opinion. Maybe this will be a sign of things to come. Would love to see Nokia launch a flagship again. Though I guess they are steadfast with keeping their business only in the budget and mid-range segment.
Some Pixel users have reported overheating because of Tensor chip. Bad connectivity and call quality. Drops wi fi signal, suspect battery life, poor, slow fingerprint scanner. Google has money to market the Pixel , but quality issues have been consistent. My Nokia has been reliable...no call quality issues, solid build, good battery. I will complain the photo quality has dropped since I upgraded to Android 12
Probably, the replacer of my NOKIA 7.2. It dependes if NOKIA contInues to deliver OS security updates, despite support is announced to end this September 2022.
Not recording 4k video is a big set back also I think the battery 4200 mah is too small it should be 5000mah considering we have a 33watts charger, Nokia hmd be doing the right and the wrong thing at the same time

What is the source? Digital Camera World "Nokia announces X30 5G smartphone with Sony IMX 766 and OIS at IFA 2022" "Diving into a bit more detail when it comes to its cameras, and the X30 5G's main 50MP camera, powered by the IMX 766 is matched with an f/1.8 lens. The 1/1.57-inch sensor pixel bins photos to create a roughly two-micron pixel size, and captures photos at around 12MP."
Finally, a true upgrade for us Nokia 7 Plus users. It's kinda a bummer tho, that there's no micro sd card slot on the phone. It's more convenient for me to transfer files to and from my laptop with the micro sd than using the cable. And.... NOOOOOOOOOOOO, give me back my 3.5mm port!! I also want to know how Nokia is going move forward now, without Zeiss optics. I do think this is promising, and happy to know that Nokia PH finally decides to release this here in the Philippines. Still, I would like to have a hands on testing too before considering this. The Nokia G50 is just too heavy and too big for me, so maybe this will do.
I don’t really need a blazing fast phone with top of the line processor because I have an iPad where I game on. This sexy device is perfect for my needs with that camera and decent processor!
I never record 4K video in my phone. So it doesn't bother me. But, lack of MicroSD card slot hit me hard since I like to save lot of movies in my phone.
YES! YEEEEESSSS! That's what we want. Thank you, HMD, for listening to your supporters.

We're Finally Seeing The Results Of HMD's Profitability
A nice Nokia smartphone, but my number 1 rant: here in Germany starting price is gonna be over €530.. Sigh..
omg amoled! yes yes yes!!! my next phone when that reaches here in philippines..
Just a question, no more zeiss and nokia partnership?
For once nokia has made a stunning phone, good review. Like to see more camera samples in next review. Keep up the good work.
What is the source?
Digital Camera World "Nokia announces X30 5G smartphone with Sony IMX 766 and OIS at IFA 2022"
"Diving into a bit more detail when it comes to its cameras, and the X30 5G's main 50MP camera, powered by the IMX 766 is matched with an f/1.8 lens.
Really Nice 💙✌️
Finally a design masterpiece from Nokia after Nokia 7 Plus
Finally, a proper device!
I don’t really need a blazing fast phone with top of the line processor because I have an iPad where I game on. This sexy device is perfect for my needs with that camera and decent processor!
After long gap some good design
Nice move HMD, now we're talking.
That back camera bump design still drives me crazy tho.
congratulations brother 👏
I never record 4K video in my phone. So it doesn't bother me. But, lack of MicroSD card slot hit me hard since I like to save lot of movies in my phone.
Yeah it's a bit of a bummer. Though it's the first phone they offer with up to 256GB of built in storage
"Movies"
OTG maybe? Smallest usb with usb c can have 128gbs now.
Legend is back
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL 😍
Nokia phone still connecting people! Cheer up❤️🤟
Big Thanks ! Superb video ! Can you make a video with the Nokia x30 to judge the video quality, stabilisation and the sound of the microphone ?
