    As some have already pointed out; it does indeed feel like the winds of change (for the positive) are here! The X30 really looks promising. But do you know whether some of the camera software features will be coming to other devices e.g. XR20? Especially I'm thinking about the wide-angle and main camera fusion. Brilliant video btw!

    • @DFTBA.
      @DFTBA. Год назад

      That's what I keep thinking-when XR20 was not given the Pureview software, I was baffled (the Zeiss lenses aren't the issue, I dare think, but the software). I said somewhere else it's like using a potato to power your device... XR20 has the card slot, the wireless charging, the durability, and completely fine for most specs overall (I'd rather have an okay set of specs on something my cat can't destroy flinging an innocent device onto the floor repeatedly like she did my N95 I still grieve over-so many drops but it eventually had the internal strip connecting the motherboard and screen disconnect! 🙀😹😭😿That one had a fantastic Zeiss lens that had a bit of optical[not digital]zoom and kept outperforming crazy expensive phones for years and years.) I wish they'd actually craft "the one" with a sleek version and durable version, both with a headphone jack (which works to listen to FM radio, super useful in places with bad signal strength like many parts of hospitals/clinics and anywhere too far from windows or blocked in by concrete buildings), microSD slot, stereo speakers (I mean, bare minimum there) etc-I feel like they've lost their way since they moved manufacturing to China after the N9 (I also REALLY wish they hadn't given up on Symbian OS and/or the N9 experimental phone's that was truly beautiful stuff).

  • @r-luto
    @r-luto Год назад +2

    Finally Nokia introduced AMOLED display and a higher refresh display to it's midrange line up, water resistance and in display fingerprint sensor is a highlight for me. Beautiful design and awesome built quality as expected from Nokia, if it had dual speakers that would have sealed the deal for me.

    I think it’s much more inline with Nokia as a brand. Clearly selling feature and budget phones have started to pay off. The X30 is a clear upgrade and I’m very happy about that screen and performance. The design is very stylish apart from the camera. But in all honesty the camera style and placement isn’t bad, rather it’s just that I’m a true Nokia fan and want the circle back. An interesting and promising device to be sure. I like all the upgrades and tweaks they’ve added. The design is solid and straightforward as usual with Nokia’s style, but to be honest when you were comparing the size of the devices, I preferred the design and overall look of the 8.3. This one still too close to Motorola. The higher refresh rate and OLED screen (don’t really care that much about either in my day to day) is sure to be attention grabbing for a Nokia device and water resistance is actually for me one of the most useful and best addition to the X30. Now, for me, the device is too small. I want a device that has at least a 6.5 inch (6.4 is pushing it) display. The lack of a headphone jack, the lack of memory card insert, the lack of Zeiss optics, the rather smallish 4,200 mAh battery, the fact that they aren’t including either a charger, case, preinstalled screen protector and of course headphones, or at least a combination of those to have as options, especially given the price point, count as fairly serious and substantial minuses at least in my book. While I like the device overall, this wouldn’t be my first choice to upgrade from my 8.3, which I plan holding onto for much longer. PS Now that Nokia Circular phone subscription is interesting. Hopefully you’ll do a video on that. Thank you as always for your review. 👍👍

    Thanks for your review! As for the phones X10, X20 and X30. I have seen videos of the older models in action and I was very disappointed with how the camera performs and the fact that it lacked 4K video was not good either. As for the X30 it lacks 4K camera and no headphones. I'm a huge fan of Nokia phones myself but lacking these 2 things makes it a no buy for me. I am still waiting for Nokia to release real phones that at minimum can compete with my old Nokia 8.1 phone. I loved the Nokia 8.1! It has a good camera and it also includes a 4K video mode and a good headphone jack as well.
    In my opinion, there hasn't been any good Nokia phone ever released that have been better than the Nokia 8.1. So I'm still waiting for the good news! The Nokia Hero phones (if they're as good as they claim) seems to be something that could be worth waiting for. I am not sure about their full specifications and a lot of things are just rumors so far, but I think it's better to wait. At worst I'll go for a different brand in November, but I'm still hoping it will be Nokia.
