For the first time in 3 years, I'm impressed.
I'm now convinced to upgrade to the new Nokia devices because I'm tired of Xiaomi bloatwares and bugs.
I would love to buy them once it's available in the Philippines 🇵🇭
    Love all your videos, Abdullah.
    Great content always.

    • @DFTBA.
      @DFTBA. 2 года назад

@@SirFaceFone It's standard Android 12. 12L lets you use a tablet/large screen (ie Samsung's massive book-style foldable phone) like a touchscreen computer with apps side by side instead of swapping back and forth between them... At least it isn't a true "economy" model running Android Go. 🤣
I know the Surface, Lenovo, and one of the Galaxy tablets has the update. Not sure if 13 will have the split screen/multitasking/move around capability. I did read that for the devices with 12 that got the update (vs new gadgets), the update itself was anywhere from 3.8-over 5GB in size. That could be part of the reason the gadgets getting it are 8GB&up on RAM... it'll be interesting to see how much more RAM it actually requires to smoothly run compared to just swapping between apps which oftentimes 'hibernates' them after a while. I'd LOVE to be able to have 2 running like my laptop often has when I'm moving things from one to another (even an easy drag and drop for pictures vs storing in the clipboard). We can dream of it coming to something that is this affordably priced! :)

Abdulla I think I can now safely say that we will see Nokia return to the powerhouse they were back in 2017/2018 within the next 3 years, they are showing that they want to go back to being industry leaders in their own niche no longer tethered by the industry at large which they fell into several years ago.
Here is to hoping I am right I can't imagine how nice their tablets will be considering how great the T21 is already

I'm excited for T21, it check all boxes for the tablet that I looking for, stylust support, can be a second screen, decent battery, sufficient charging speed. It will be super good if it comes with Android 12L.

The first word that came to my mind watching this video is "exciting". HMD seems to listen to fans and content providers (including you) and upped it's game both in the smartphone section, as well as the feature phone section. Not to mention the tablets and the accessories. Great, just great. :)

I think Nokia is on the right track with the X30 - more premium materials where it matters (screen, frame) - while the back .. well, i usually put it in a case anyway... - just wondering why the G series is 100% recycled and the X is only 65% - but i am sure there is a good reason.
As for specs - it sounds like a very well rounded phone. Not a gaming phone (but i always wonder why there is an emphasis on gaming on a phone, when 99% of phone games are just rubbish and the 1% can hardly compete with a much cheaper portable console)
It might have been slightly nicer if it was a bit smaller than 6.5" .. but its OK, i guess.
I am still not super impressed with the design language - some other brands (even including Apple, which is not exactly a beacon of design innovation - anymore) do make much better effort. But it has kind of found its own look. Not as garish as many Chinese phones .. but more subtle (well, a bit boring) like Samsung phones. While i would love to see the bright and brave colours of the Lumia series .. in the end, i could always buy a colourful case.
So in other words, i think the X30 looks great - and would looks amazing .. in white (i always buy my phones in white) if they had made the cameras flush without a camera module (like the 9 Pureview .. )
edit: as for the tablet .. i dont think Nokia really needs to compete in that segment. Even Apple tablets arent excessively expensive - and Lenovo or even Chuwi tablets are actually pretty good and budget orientated.

    • @DFTBA.
      @DFTBA. 2 года назад

"wondering why the G series is 100% recycled" I'm not a Nokia insider, but I can tell you that the more heat there is transferred onto plastic, the less of it can be made from recycled content.
For, say, beverages, nothing is as ideal for the long haul as glass (which I don't want the back of my case being-just one more thing to get excessive prints and crack/shatter/get scratched up in ways that look worse than plastic that's scuffed up!). Glass can be sanitized and reused as is but also suffers a really low "loss" of content (even the cleanest break technically loses some of the content in a sort of dusty atoms breaking off sense) and while a glass bottle melted back down would not perfectly make the exact glass bottle again, you'll only need a small amount of new "virgin" silica (sand, basically, the main thing that glass is made from, durability from some other naturally occurring additives, usually forms of ash-and the sand is literally just things like shells of crustaceans, gastropods, etc).
When plastic is heated and molded a second, third, or fourth time, it becomes more brittle and weak-it loses much of the sort of 'flex'/stretchy moldable nature that the original icky synthetic components had that made it "plasticized" at all to get at the word meaning since "plasticity" is literally the ability to change form/alter shape easily so metals have different plasticity ratings (though I don't know anything that's made it to being even 3rd gen apart from some outerwear/backpack kinds of stuff that honestly doesn't hold up well/becomes kind of "flaky" if used for a waterproofing layer). The more economical models are using all-recycled plastic, BUT those will crack far more easily than the 65% recycled ones... and at some point, while I beg for there to be an innovation that makes it otherwise, we currently WILL eventually have to trash each bit of plastic instead of recycling it. DURABLE plastics like incubators are truly important uses for plastic (life saving and far safer and longer-lasting than glass which you can't transport or make with great ease most places). Metal's a bit more ideal for a sustainable back if you can't even replace the battery with relative ease (the case with most, unfortunately)-while it will get hot in spots if the gadget runs quite hot, aluminum cools down quickly, too, and aluminum is the most useful/used case material for metal parts-it can be stamped to be pretty firm, and once the paint/finish is sloughed off, straight, non-alloy aluminum can be reused infinitely, rust aside whereas steel is an alloy and always a bit different AND has the same issue w/plastic-melt it down and it'll become more and more brittle with more-which is why cheap construction, even if it looks perfect and works great at first, makes SO many important structures (like a lot of infrastructure China's doing in Africa to basically grab the resources from there) fall apart in SUCH absurdly short times (in China/Africa's case probably just long enough to strip all they need from Africa then run off with no accountability and broken bridges like the one that collapsed in India very recently). No magic bullet answer. This is certainly better than just making more plastic for everything from scratch, but ugh, we sure need to use less of it somehow or find a better way of reusing it than insulating or waterproofing things that then ruins the fabrics so it all gets trashed (whereas natural fabrics could've been used again and again).
Sorry for TMI! Just a sustainability nerd that saw your wonderment and had a 2am ramble session all by myself over here! 😂

I think x30 is good but I see problems.
    No head phone jack.
    No memory card storage
    OLED screen.
    Although build quality looks good.
G60S has jack and SD card and LCD screen so offers the features I would like at a cheaper price point.
Odd how losing features increases the price.
The C21 has a chipset from the medieval Warm Period so it has little to no use.
In my view, the X30 and G60 are completive plus the updates are good selling point.
I would buy the G60 and be cool doing so.

Honestly, the line up looks promising. Nokia has managed to churn out decent devices in the past but one of the main aspects they fall flat is marketing and highlighting key aspects of those devices. I seriously hope they market these ones better as it seems they genuinely have an edge with competitive devices now.

If Nokia cares about the environment, they should release at least 5 devices every year.
    1 Originals Series Phone,
    1 Cseries Phone,
    1 Gseries Phone,
    1 Tseries Tablet; and
    1 Xseries Phone.
In this way, they can also focus on software support, specs, and much-needed marketing.
