Nokia used to make really good software is like the peak feature in Lumia phones and in Symbian phones and also live to wake and other small quality of life improvements
My dream Nokia phone would be a remodel and remixed of N95 model to match today's design but still looks like good old N95 (8gb), that means the camera bump would look a reminiscent of the model. Your concept phone would look elegant
This is a really well-thought-out concept for Nokia in my opinion, it's almost exactly what I want to see out of a flagship modern day Nokia phone that doesn't compromise on design. Well done to you and Concept Creator for bringing this to life!
I swear ...i couldnt agree with you more... you said exactly what i had in mind with current phone design factor... and your design is unbelievably beautiful
I think you nailed it. It’s pretty much what I’ve wanted from Nokia. I would go a step further and suggest that theirs 2 premium models with one being 6:3 like you suggested and the other being 6:7 or 6:8 to allow for bigger battery and more screen estate for media. But in addition I would suggest 2 cheaper models that are all polycarbonate with smaller and larger screens. Remember the 1320 being the budget version of the 1520. It would be nice if the focused on fewer models with more software and services R&D. Something maybe similar to Nothing, who are absolutely killing it software wise with solid updates and with in-house widgets and apps ect. Who knows but maybe we are not that far away from some new Nokia exclusive apps like music or Tom Tom powered navigation. Really enjoyed seeing your vision, and made it all the better that both our visions are very similar.
Great minds think alike ;) I like the idea of having a larger "max" version for power users, and cheaper versions with polycarbonate. If im redoing their whole portfolio, that would definitely be the direction I would take. Keep the design language similar, reduce some features here and there, keep the colours. Nokia exclusive apps would be nice too
Okay this is almost my dream Nokia phone as well. I don’t really care about the monochrome lens so I would leave that out making it only a triple camera system leaving more space for bigger sensors and one less camera to tune in software to make the best possible pictures out of the three camers. I would prefer a slightly smaller 5,8 inch display as well which would make one handed use much easier but the display would still be large enough. And I would probably put some kind of ”plastic coating” on all aluminium body like Google did with Pixel 5 to give it softer feeling in hand. This would also make antenna bands invisible if they would be needed for better reception and wireless charging could be present as well. And what comes to software, I would love to see a custom launcher that would mimic N9’s UI. Just an application list with search possibilities to find your apps more easily and custom feed for weather, news and your socials on the left. Otherwise I’d love to see pure Android. But if Nokia would make a phone like you’ve described with none of my small modifications, I would definitely buy it
It was a massive mistake for smartphone companies in discontinuing the powerful Xenon flash. It was brilliant especially in night photography. Someone needs to bring it back. Nokia Lumia 1020 and many smartphones used it. It was something to do with Xenon flash using up battery but I think now it would work fine as smartphone batteries are much better and we also have power banks and maybe have an Xenon flash and LED flash.
Wow, wow, wow! You nailed it. It seems everyone who used a Lumia has never gotten over it. The dedicated camera button is great. I'd love the phone to be watera and dust proof. I personally have never gotten over the windows live tiles. There are actually windows apps I would give a lot to have on my phone....how I wish Nokia could have a way one could access windows apps on android. I just wish Nokia could produce your prototype.
Thank you Alex :D Yeah Windows phone definitely left a huge impression on me, though the design started with the Nokia N9 which is still my favourite phone of all time. I do miss the tiles interface of Windows phone; was incredibly unique and full of character.
I've been watching your nokia content for over 3 years now and I love how honest you are on pros and cons of each model. Now that i saw it, this is so overwelhming and exciting. I thought at first that this phone model is already out for sale. haha. I hope I can have this one cause I only own Nokia keypad phone that don't have good camera in the past, not the flagship one. I hope this phone isn't too costly. Good Job for doing it sir. -Jeslle from Philippines
Love this collab with Jermaine/Concept Creator. I really do miss the symmetry, xenon flash, and shutter button. Coming from the 1020 to a Xiaomi, the xenon flash to this day is amazing even in pitch black environments and it just feels like a waste of space not to include a camera button on the side. 😛 (Shoutout to Sony for keeping the camera button alive)
the two stage camera shutter button is actually a damn good thing. i used it all the time on my lumias. it's a shame they got rid of it. i love how you put the monochrome sensor back in, because they take awesome black and white photos. headphone jack is great. and i would make it smaller. like a samsung s22 size or a bit smaller. big funs are crap. i really like how you don't use glass cause i agree, it's dumb. maybe the colour can be like the nokia 7 plus. ceramic paint. i had one and it feels awesome. great effort.
Thank you! Yeah I miss the 2 stage shutter key even if software buttons are effective. It just gives the phone this camera centric feel while capturing photos that you dont get by tapping on the screen or the volume down button which feels awkward. Yup, my camera setup is inspired by the 9 PV but slightly in terms of functionality. Wouldn't mind it being smaller if the same functionality can fit I think, though people these days are moving towards bigger phones. Thanks for the input :)
It looks like the updated design of Nokia Lumia 1020..i actually liked the design..HMD should think about doing this kinds of designs and price it right..
Beautiful! Hey Nokia HMD Global, hire the man. This design is waaaaay better than Nokia's current releases. Color wise, I personally like the blues or the greens, teal is nice, too. Of late, I am getting more into the smaller phones, so a mini version would be awesome, approximately 5.4" to 5.5". Great job.👏 Keep up the excellent videos. Have a fantastic week.🙂
Glad to see that I'm not the only one out there who's sick of +6" displays. I miss the 4.3" screen on my good old Lumia 820 (which, btw, also had a dedicated camera button).
Take my Bow Mr Nokia 🙇🙌 . This is the best possibility . I don't know why anybody in Nokia Management doesn't think and implement such ideas. One Small Suggestion* A bit bigger Top and Bottom Bazels to set-up A Hi-Power Front Firing Dual Loudspeakers that can blow your mind and a small NOKIA logo .
Though it is Android nokia can still bring back Unique UI different than ones in the market. With constant updates on UI and OS that's gonna be the user's favourite. We can say nokia is back. Back like a pheonix.
Yes, it would be worthwhile for HMD to consider a phone like this. Perhaps a dual speaker setup as well, but the zenon flash is among the best feature just like my old N8. The yellow and a blue color along with your screen size are perfect!
Once you use Xenon flash, you can't go back :p Dual speaker setup is a nice option. I initially wanted to have the phone call speaker at the top act like the 2nd speaker, but maybe adding a speaker to the very top would be a cool idea
Abdulla saw that there will be no progress in HMD and he decided to got behind the wheel. Finally we have a great plan for a dream Nokia phone even if it is imaginary :))) Thank you Abdulla
Man this design is everything i want in my phone, been a nokia fam ever since i saw my dad use the banana Nokia phone and it's always fascinated me of how ahead nokia was in terms of design and durability, really hope they can make something similar to what you have suggested, again thanks for keeping the nokia love alive through your videos and appreciate nokia for what it was and what it can be
Well, my take on it There is very little i can complain about it. It has a modern design language (kind of timeless - thats what you were going for with the N line) - that corresponds to the Note line (Samsung) and is set apart nicely from the Apple devices that otherwise dominate the market. I think plastic is a perfectly good option for a unibody - as long as it is good plastic (Lumia 930 or alike) what i like: - you kept the top and bottom bezels symmetry .. but - I like your idea of adopting an under display camera (like the Axon 40 ultra i guess) but those cameras are still very poorly. A phone with a focus on photography could as well come with no front camera in that case. (i never use the front camera, so i am biased) - the "wrap around" design is a great and still unique feature. Not only does it provide structure but it also sets it apart from the same-old-same-old black squares. That allows colour to actually dominate the entire phone, not just the back. - colours! - with todays phones mainly being conservative with very must colours - i certainly miss the really courageous colour choices of the Lumia line - also, with the unibody design, i can see soft cases being VERY protective, when they wrap around to the front. - you did not say much about the material of choice for the screen. Personally, i HATE micro-scratches (also of course the deeper ones) .. so - if i had a choice, i would actually go for sapphire (HTC-ultra did it as well as some cheaper phones) - but that would increase cost by a lot, i know. - choice of screen resolution and size is good. No need to go overboard with 4k or other buzz features that no one notices anyway. what i did not like: - I understand your reasoning for the camera module - and this is only a matter of taste. What you did there is a re-imagined 1020 of sorts. But - firstly .. does it need to be a bump? (the 9 Pureview did not have one) - and if it does need one - i actually like the round module of the Huawei Mate 40 pro more which turns the "oreo" into a "donut" .. hence keeping the dominate colour of the back better than a solid circle (kind of .. compare the Huawei Mate 30 back to the Mate 40 back) Well, there is not much i do not like (kind of only the camera module) - a suggestion for this phone that will never be .. is: No matter what launcher it has - it needs good gesture control (like OneUI). I would not go for an optical under screen fingerprint scanner - as those are still not very good - and i doubt you could ever get Samsungs ultrasonic one. So there are 2 options .. either go with a powerbutton-fingerprint scanner .. or as much as it pains me ... do what Apple does and go for a "dynamic island" with a good 3d face recognition. I would not care much for a 1 or 2 year old SoC - no one notices the difference anyway .. except overhyped youtubers that cheer for 0.01% performance increase with the next top of the line processor. - So ... a SoC that is efficient, a large battery and something that Samsung does .. "battery protection" that locks out charging at 85% to extend the lifetime of a battery dramatically. Go for premium materials on the screen - and keep in mind that those things also need to be maintained. - how easy is it to open up the phone and replace a battery? - how easy is it to replace the screen? All in all - it is a beautiful design - and if HMD ever came out with something like that, i would most certainly get it - instead of the next iphone clone design or a boring old-mans-Samsung design.
I forgot to talk about the front camera, but yeah an under display camera would work well since I also couldn't care less about the front camera quality as I barely use it! Using saphire glass would definitely be nice. I tried not to talk too heavily about the technical aspects, but as a Nokia the more durable the better Regarding the camera module. I really love the 9 pureview/930 flat back design, but both of these devices don't have ultra large sensors, and both don't have xenon flash. Considering the frame of the device is around 7-8mm thick, it would be impossible to fit a large camera sensor without a bump. Add to that, the xenon flash which usually needs about 12-16mm of thickness and you can understand why I went with such a camera module. You asked 2 very important questions that I though about but didn't discuss in the video: - how easy is it to open up the phone and replace a battery? - how easy is it to replace the screen? Lumia devices with such a unibody design had the screen being the first part that pops out when you open them up. The trick would be to make the battery also easily accessible without having to remove so many different things. Here, maybe we can use the bottom plastic part, make it removable and add some sort of sliders inside to get the battery in and out quickly. Anyway, its all theoretical, but I agree about the importance of these 2 aspects.
Hello Abdulla sir This mobile series name is Nokia L Series, with Carl Zeiss optics, power button in notification light, and one extra button is vibration and silent - example - I phone and one plus mobile
once again Abdullah , you prove why I you should be leading design and marketing at Nokia you just designed my dream phone. Nobody knows who should lead Twitter but I know who I want leading at Nokia. as for additions, I would remove the flash from the center, have the Flash be a RING around the camera bump for accessories: Pastel Phone covers, Bring back the Qi charging pouches.
Silver N8 aluminum shell, pureview camera, xenon flash, adaptive SPL compression when recording audio like the 808, a good dac for audio and best in class battery life. Great rendition, I'm drooling already! You can skip their eccentric, expensive options like micro hdmi, FM projection, etc
if Nokia/HMD made this, and makes it near flagship, i would buy it in a heartbeat... hope Nokia/HMD sees this and makes it a reality AND! Available worldwide... If they do: Abdulla please charge them for it. you deserve a reward.. :D as for software, i dont mind their own interface like SquareHome launcher. It is similar to windows phone UI. which is great!
There will be flash glare because of the glass.... The edges will be prone to bending and will result in the plastic cracking. I would have copied the 6.1 structure since it's far more durable. The sharp edges on the side won't be comfortable for long term use. But I do dig the older nokia design. Also, I would add a custom processor for the images. Other than that it's a very nice design :)
Nice concept! But these are only dreams. With an AMOLED display, the fingerprint scanner can be placed under the screen. Processor - Snapdragon 8+ Gen.1 or MediaTek Dimensity 8100.
The best smartphone I ever had was a Lumia 830, actually my favorite combination of materials is metal and polycarbonate, I love to see the old Nokia design make a comeback but HMD is too conservative to do that. Also wish there was a chance of cooperation between HMD and Jolla, they really should take another shot at Jolla (Meego), coming from my short experience with meego many years ago it was way better than Android or iOS even by today standards.
They went with the metal polycarbonate combo on the Nokia X30, which in a lot of ways is the spiritual successor to the Lumia 830 btw. Jolla collaboration would be cool, though don't know how realistic. MeeGo was incredible.
From now this phone is also my dream phone I'm become too happy when i see thumbnail but I'm sad that there are not much possibilities to get this phone By the way hats off brother for your hard work
I would love to see a sequel of nokia N86, a slider with 3-3.5 inch touch screen amoled display. I wouldn’t mind a bulkier device. It doesn't need to have the best specs, but camera should be great!
Hi Abdulla, Remember me? I used to comment on your videos, but I stopped as I was busy in home. Nice to see you have sponsors now And I'm still a HUGE Nokia Fan Even though Apple stolen it, But I'm still subscribed, And I will always comment on your videos! :)
It's been a decade since I used my last Nokia. I will ditch my current Samsung and definitely buy it if it became a real thing. Outstanding design and features!
Your dream phone shoul have full qwerty physical buttons, just like E7! And 3 physical navigation buttons on the front! And FULL dense plastic body for great signal and out-door capabilities! And a plastic screen, not a glass one! And a battery cover with a spare one in the box!
Its my dream phone man, that sounds like yours :p On a serious note, I was debating whether to add a full QWERTY keyboard, but decided against it as I wanted the device to also be mainstream.
@@AbdullaZaki :) My dream phone is mine, not for everybody. Your dream phone has nothing about ergonomics and utility. :P Greetings and love from Romania! ;)
Your concept is exactly what I also wanted for a phone...I still keeping Nokia N9 now serving as my alarm clock. The basic UI of Nokia N9 is still the best ui for me...screen display should be 6.7 though at 19.5:9 aspect ratio and with symmetrical bezels 🙂
The concept looks amazing. Simply designed but yet looks so modern at the same time. I really appreciate the circular camera island cuz it stands for lot of past Nokia’s devices that I miss everyday (L1020, L925 and even N9). Last products of HMD give me a hope that true flagship with Nokias brand on it is not just a distant dream and sooner or later we will be able to experience best comeback of the king. As much as I love your vision I hope that HMD also will listen fans of their devices and make a phone that not only works well but also looks great. And yeah, maybe I’m too much ahead with my wishes but I’m kinda sick of actual HMD’s restraint with design. Right now Nokia’s phone offer is simple, yeah, but boring as hell. To be honest it would not be a problem with me if they try to go after Apple footsteps and make their portfolio simpler. 2-3 devices per year two flagships and one mid-range. Okay, and maybe one more to be successor of kinda rugged XR20 (it’s time for next level for this type ;D).
The new Android 13 update on x20 have a camera update ,thus makes camera results better on day and noisier in the dark.can you compare with g60 or x30.How much will be the difference?
I love that you included the 3.5mm jack port!
Wired headphones are always the best for sounding!
and with quad DAC support it would be awesome :D
@@AbdullaZaki i realy hope they will include it in the future phones. Especially nokia
Unfortunately, flagships and sub-flagships will not be equipped with an audio jack.
Nokia must have its own UI along with Google features...
Nokia used to make really good software is like the peak feature in Lumia phones and in Symbian phones and also live to wake and other small quality of life improvements
Right with circular camera design too
They need massive investment from somewhere. Doesnt seem possible at this moment
All the present UI resembles mego
I had Nokia N9 several years ago It has a very good looking yet so smooth UI.
Dark green looks really cool 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Same colour as the Nokia X10 :D

Add to that, the xenon flash which usually needs about 12-16mm of thickness and you can understand why I went with such a camera module.
You asked 2 very important questions that I though about but didn't discuss in the video:
- how easy is it to open up the phone and replace a battery?
- how easy is it to replace the screen?
Lumia devices with such a unibody design had the screen being the first part that pops out when you open them up. The trick would be to make the battery also easily accessible without having to remove so many different things. Here, maybe we can use the bottom plastic part, make it removable and add some sort of sliders inside to get the battery in and out quickly. Anyway, its all theoretical, but I agree about the importance of these 2 aspects.
Fantastic concept looks really cool Nokia engineeris need to see this
Yellow looks stunning!
Its retro cool :)
Well done! I would like mine in black or silver. Keep it up!
Nice Design... I liked the concept.. Keep going, please...!!!
Really good renderings
Concept creator is a genius!
Give us that phone with yellow colour 🔥🔥🔥. Looks flawless and modern
Hello Abdulla sir
This mobile series name is Nokia L Series, with Carl Zeiss optics, power button in notification light, and one extra button is vibration and silent - example - I phone and one plus mobile
It's gonna be awesome.
Strictly suggest to provide with best chip rather than older ones...
Nice concept but why would you not add a textured power button and stereo speakers?
once again Abdullah , you prove why I you should be leading design and marketing at Nokia
you just designed my dream phone.
Nobody knows who should lead Twitter
but I know who I want leading at Nokia.
as for additions,
I would remove the flash from the center, have the Flash be a RING around the camera bump
for accessories: Pastel Phone covers, Bring back the Qi charging pouches.
WOW. This is most beautiful phone i have see.
This is PERFECT copy of my thinking. Also we need the swipe UI with Google play!!
That would be amazing :)
i really like this design but I don't think hmd will be able to execute this as of now (maybe in future)
I don't know if they will be able to execute it, but it was fun working on it and seeing it become a reality :D
Excellent concept ...waiting for it.... will switch from Sam to Nokia
if Nokia/HMD made this, and makes it near flagship, i would buy it in a heartbeat... hope Nokia/HMD sees this and makes it a reality AND! Available worldwide... If they do: Abdulla please charge them for it. you deserve a reward.. :D as for software, i dont mind their own interface like SquareHome launcher. It is similar to windows phone UI. which is great!
I would like to see this kind of phone with windows 11 mobile
There will be flash glare because of the glass.... The edges will be prone to bending and will result in the plastic cracking. I would have copied the 6.1 structure since it's far more durable. The sharp edges on the side won't be comfortable for long term use. But I do dig the older nokia design. Also, I would add a custom processor for the images. Other than that it's a very nice design :)
Nice concept! But these are only dreams.
With an AMOLED display, the fingerprint scanner can be placed under the screen. Processor - Snapdragon 8+ Gen.1 or MediaTek Dimensity 8100.
Nice design For Nokia
I would buy it! Especially the yellow one, as a successor to my 1020. Great job!
I would buy NX asap! (But bigger, 6,9" like note 20 ultra)
The METAL BACK 🤯🖤🖤 -Thats what i NEED.
But what about front camera?
It's better than the first surface duo generation that had forgotten back camera 😅😅😅
@@one.pouria786 the shitest shit duo 🤡
The front camera would be under display. Couldn't care less about quality as long as I don't have to see it when I barely use it :p
The design is superb😮
Thank you :D Modernized Nokia design
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL 💖💕
I would love to see this become a reality. That yellow 🟡 colour looks beautiful.
Our* Dream Nokia Phone
Love it, 5.4 size for me and The rest is perfect!!!!
OH EM GEE!!! I don’t know but I am seeing my Nokia fan boy era days before. I also used to create a lot of concept phones in my notebooks before.
You're like me then haha :)
Can you make ui newer design of Symbian ? May be it can be built again as a cross platform to install apks !
I don't know how feasible that would be :)
It is fantastic. Nokia should work on this
This one looks (and name’s) perfect fit to be the successor of N9.
Intentionally too :D
Talking about software, I'm just wondering custom Android OS with Windows Phone UI
Something similar to launcher 10?
I think Nokia should use your ideas for Nokia n - series any pureview touch device rebooted with Android experience
I liked Yellow & Orange colour. Also I would love to see more videos like this.
From now this phone is also my dream phone
I'm become too happy when i see thumbnail but I'm sad that there are not much possibilities to get this phone
By the way hats off brother for your hard work
design is everything.
That's an awesome phone, I would have the yellow and black just like the old nokia 1020. Let's hope nokia has seen this video.
Love your phone you need to make one I'm on board -
Would love Nokia make a high end phone like this. One question: what phone do you use as daily driver?
These days I'm using the Nokia X30
I would love to see a sequel of nokia N86, a slider with 3-3.5 inch touch screen amoled display. I wouldn’t mind a bulkier device. It doesn't need to have the best specs, but camera should be great!
My God it is so beautiful and unique.. I love this phone
Thank you Abood, of course I remember :)
It's been a decade since I used my last Nokia. I will ditch my current Samsung and definitely buy it if it became a real thing. Outstanding design and features!
Awesome!!
Nice job! Agree with you in all aspects.
Somehow it reminds me to 1020 PW which was the beauty (and beast :)).
One big like!
Love this! Add another speaker to the top for stereo audio and then shut up and take my money!
Wanted to make such an adjustment but it was too late :p Great suggestion though
You have that nokia N8 phone in your background. Please provide buying link so that I can buy one
Sir i loved your design but one thing i want to add is can you please decrease the size of camera bump.
We could have a lite version with a slightly less capable camera setup and without xenon flash :p
@@AbdullaZaki 🥰🥰
just amazing I still love it today if some apps worked I would use my old Lumia . the Nokia -Lumia design was unmatched❤This concept is very nice❤
Thank you :D
Perfect! Would definitely buy it. I would personally have 2 sim slots AND a sd card slot 😊
I would definitely buy it, the black one would be the best option for me
Black definitely looks super sleek!
Your dream phone shoul have full qwerty physical buttons, just like E7!
And 3 physical navigation buttons on the front!
And FULL dense plastic body for great signal and out-door capabilities! And a plastic screen, not a glass one! And a battery cover with a spare one in the box!
Its my dream phone man, that sounds like yours :p
On a serious note, I was debating whether to add a full QWERTY keyboard, but decided against it as I wanted the device to also be mainstream.
@@AbdullaZaki :)
My dream phone is mine, not for everybody.
Your dream phone has nothing about ergonomics and utility. :P
Greetings and love from Romania!
I would definitely get this! In yellow!
The new Android 13 update on x20 have a camera update ,thus makes camera results better on day and noisier in the dark.can you compare with g60 or x30.How much will be the difference?
i hope nokia make same like this so i can go back to nokia❤️
As an old time Lumia fan, id buy that
