Some still don't understand the actual background of such phones. It is used to be available, to send messages and to play a round of Tetris or Snake if you feel like it.
    It's called a digital detox.
A few tips to survive without a smartphone.
For photos I would e.g. recommend a Sony RX100 VII.
A small, fine compact camera that fits in any pocket or backpack and the image quality is excellent, no smartphone can keep up here.
Anyone who travels a lot by car will have installed a decent navigation system anyway.
If you are using public transport in the city, you can find out beforehand. In almost every household you can now find a PC with an Internet connection.
If you're traveling by public transport, you could while away the time with a good book.
Enjoy your time outside WhatsApp, FB, Instagram etc. and live your life.

In fact, I loved that you mentioned the negative impact of social media at the end of the video. Symbian system on traditional Nokia phones is an excellent opportunity for those who want to get away from these social media. However, that person will lose important features that I find indispensable for me, at least, such as map applications and high-quality cameras, as the cameras of traditional Nokia phones are significantly lower quality, while Nokia previously provided higher quality images in its phones even before the advent of Android. If it was possible to get a phone with a system that does not support social media and provides maps similar to Google Maps and a high-quality camera even if it was only one camera, I think I would not be late to buy a phone like this!

    • @m.a.a.120
      @m.a.a.120 Год назад +4

It is a matter of the processor, the one that they offer for these simple phones supports the camera only up to 1.3 Mpx, and Nokia do not have such lenses in stock ... To give a really better camera they would have to give a more powerful processor or at least much more advanced, but here they care mainly about calls within 4g and this is the main goal of this type of phones.

Those beautiful days when you use the phone to make calls, texting with a plus music, videos, images, simple games, all that was simple enough to won't have private and all your life there, and then you use the computer to make more advanced task better and more personal, and then you have all private things physically hidden in your personal space, what a beautiful days.

The nokia 3310 have an album selection the problem is when i put more songs and albums ,the phone will not read all of them. like when I put 25 alvum selections it only read 10 albums. I dont know why its like that. So I still resort to my nokia N78, N96, N95 because when you play music thru this phone it sounds good and it plays everything you put in the memory.

to start my digital detox I bought a 2nd hand Nokia phone. I am very happy that I made a right choice. I can still sneak to my socials but with limitations.

Agreed but with KaiOS instead of S30+ so you can add a basic podcast app, etc...

WhatsApp, RUclips and Google maps if a feature phone had them I would get one when my current phone packs in.

It will be great if Nokia turn back old phones, but really old one, without color screen and with old style of phones :)

They should make a feature phone with a good camera on Kai OS for digital minimalists and others

Does this have "voice command" for dialing number like on old Nokia phones? I tihnk it was called "voice dial"? You say the name of the contact and it calls it automatically.

WiFi Hotspot is a must, so that i can connect my laptop/tablet when i want to.
Or be off the grid when i want.
Java, so that i can install old apps or create new ones.
Just like s40 OS from decade ago.

Another nice looking 'Bring back the good old days' looking phone there lol. Looks like a little cross between 8210 and 6100 😏.
Still no Kai/4G modern version E63/E71 type yet 🤔😒 but, I have my fingers crossed I was having a chat with another RUclips creator the other day, and he mentioned that WhatsApp/Signal has stopped support for Kai OS (ver 3.0 and above)... What are your thoughts, is this your experience too? 🤔. 😎🇬🇧

was after a dumbphone with the ability to use telegram. Ended up getting a blackberry classic q20 straight from 2014. Functional and rugged. Obviously I still need to tether my main phone for nav gps and other more "modern" smartphone functionality
