I would pay up to 200 or even 300 for a solid 4G feature phone. If it is a quality build, with GOOD camera, whatsapp, navigation, and all basic things provided.

I upgraded to this from a Nokia 6310 as this is 4g. Best phone I've ever owned. Little trick I've found to make the battery last for days one end. I work in a warehouse and we don't get signal inside the building. This phone features airplane mode. I use this often in areas where I either can't use my phone or it struggles with signal and I average a charge every week. Jus wish it u did email and RUclips buts it is still a fine handset
Such a nice review. I knew 8210 is overall better phone than 5710 . But i still think 2660 flip is good phone than out of three. As it has sos and hearing aid features which is useful for kids and elderly people in a family and it can also be useful as secondary device for younger generation due to its flip action which looks awesome.
Yesss, I would like to use this as my main sim connected phone , and keep my old android smartphone like a mini tablet so Wi-Fi only, for the few apps I need but not available on the 8210’s OS. It would be perfect if I could just have ALL the apps as they’re very low bandwidth requirements and I don’t want to carry the darn smartphone at all, but second best thing would be just to piggyback on it’s connection 🙄
You should know that Nokia nowadays is not the same as it used to be. I got myself a Nokia 800 Tough, which they claim is built to military standards - waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof. But It didn't take long for it to stop turning on. I had to take it for repairs, they replaced the motherboard and battery. After just a month, it refused to turn on once again. Seriously, how can I trust the quality of this brand as before?

Wondering about screen quality, how do you think it compares to the 225? I suspect the 225 and 5710 share the same screen, whereas the 8210 and 2660 have a nicer screen. I found the 225 to be pretty poor (even in this category).

These are the questions needed to be asked. Every single dumbphone, hmd global made, is made from the cheapest materials. The first thing i check when i buy a phone is how is the sound from ghe earpiece.. hmd global = utter BS. I have a cheap android only on 2G mode and the call quality is amazing. So it's not a network thing

It’s due to the bands. The LTE bands from this phone are not supported in North America. Maybe one day we’ll have unified bands in different countries.

I had a call for 10 minutes. It’s very limited but for 2G, it was fine. I’d assume it would be better in 4G LTE environments. Sadly I can’t test that, other reviewers have and say that it has been 6-7/10 so I will defer to them on this one since my experience mirror that even on 2G for a 10 minute call.
@@81pieda nope, the Nokia 2760 came out in March. That’s hardly a sign that Nokia are ditching KaiOS. In fact the 2760 is exclusive for the US market and these 3 devices are not for the US market at all. So again, nothing like being a sign of abandoning KaiOS. That’s a bit like saying when the 2760 came out: ‘what, no S30+ devices? Nokia are clearly abandoning S30+’. Which you would know now is clearly ridiculous.
Looks good, my fam had these once. Though, they could've just used the S60 or Belle versions, rather than the S30. I'm pretty sure I can buy something way better than this for cheaper, of the same kind. For below $20, I can already see several options that can match this thing.
When my cheap crappy budget smartphone died I got rid of it and bought a Nokia 8210 4G. I like it much better than the 1 Plus it replaced. I feel much better for not having a smartphone!
I assume KaiOS still haven't fixed their group texting issues since you didn't mention it. I know their workaround, but it's not very good. Fix group texting and these Nokia devices become a lot more useful IMHO.
Have you run into any problems with feature phones and updated sim cards? I can't seem to get 5g sim cards to work properly on these devices for some reason.

@@bnstndrd I'd basically just want spotify, email, internet and a camera. + the standard alarms and timers. And yes, unfortunately not their business model. Their screen time thing is one password away to unlimited usage. They should have a cooldown or soemthing. I find deleting google and insta apps helps a lot. But after 15 years of behavioral conditioning, its hard to share the habbit
not worth it. cannot delete apps and i don't play games listen to radio etc. i just want to phone and message. it is not the kind of phone you want if all you want to do is phone and message. the radio sound frequently goes on, it is difficult to find my own phone number, a search for "me" doesn't work. messaging takes too long and to difficult to send anything but very short messages and for me too many useless apps is the biggest downfall--none of them are deletable.

Older models of Nokia Dumbphones like 2720 outperform this one in every way. Big disappointment for me, as I still want a dumphone with watsup and gmail, and I don't need all these stupid games.

Its good they are still making good basic phones nowadays.

The 225 is better than the 5710, but yes the 2660 and 8210 have better looking screens than the 225 and 5710.

I’d say it’s a 6/10 or 7/10. Very comparable to the 225 4G or the 6300. A bit better speaker though.

The Nokia Series 30 devices like this one have great battery life. Better is only the Servo R22 and only because it’s massive.

The 8110 4g didn't have the same plastic as the 90's version either, it was flimsy and the phone looked old quickly, I wasn't rough with it.

Some countries have shut down 2G and 3G, so 4G LTE is needed to make calls.
It uses VoLTE which is calling over 4G. VoLTE has much better calling sound quality. And yes, 2G/3G will eventually shut down everywhere worldwide

Nokia kinda seems to have abandoned KaiOS and only uses S30+ on their latest phones. WhatsApp isn't available on S30+

Group texting is broken on Series 30+. KaiOS 3.0 finally fixed group texts!!
Kaios needs a complete overhaul of their operating system. It's a pretty design but it lags too much.
