Guy, this is your opinion. Many people like me are very okay with it form factor, design, new look and many more. In fact, I am excited to have seen this phone; definitely buying it soon God willing.
The plastic is so cheap that you can't even hold it, a wet sponge can be hold better than this. My Blackberry 9900 from 2011 has more features, nice speaker, wifi, more storage, and a touchscreen with a nice display. Yes a touchscreen on an old phone.
Nokia 8210 became iconic flashy phone way back in 1999 because of its unimaginable and unexplainable engineering because of its slim form. and by that it became the top of the line feature phone since the introduction of colored and polyphonic phones.
I love Nokia ,they made some unique phones, they made a life style ,also their designs and colors are so attractive, new Android phones have pure android software and their nostalgic phones is a brilliant idea 💜
I am glad that Nokia (HMD Global) still make keypad phones. Apps are everywhere and smartphones are mainstream, i still prefer a keypad phone. My main phone is still a keypad one, while my smartphone is my secondary phone. So far my favourite brands of keypad phones are Nokia and Energizer.
Totally agree with you, I wish I saw this review before I ordered that phone. I just got it delivered and I HATE IT. It's so cheaply made, the keypad has big gaps between buttons, is impossible to use without looking, pressing the buttons hurts my fingers, and the edges of the phone scratch my hand when I try to text. Worst of all, I'm 100% sure that if I happen to drop it, it will break. Unforgiveable for a Nokia.
@@VoloKinProject I was able to return the phone and get a full refund. Phew! Do you have any recommendations re: Nokia brick phones by any chance? Thanks!
I don't understand, why Nokia or other company cannot create a mobile phone from 2000-2010 period, but with modern technologies? I'm excited to buy a mobile phone with buttons, black&white screen and 1 week battery life.
Main buying reason of old 8210 was its size. And they failed about it in the new one…. Can’t hold my tears. Still waiting for a tiny new Nokia to carry in jeans pocket
You should know that Nokia nowadays is not the same as it used to be. I got myself a Nokia 800 Tough, which they claim is built to military standards - waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof. But It didn't take long for it to stop turning on. I had to take it for repairs, they replaced the motherboard and battery. After just a month, it refused to turn on once again. Seriously, how can I trust the quality of this brand as before?
I got one a week ago and abandoned my Samsung 23. I like the 8210! - it can send Textmessages and make a phonecall - that's it!. I grew tired of Smartphones and the constant online availablilty - so the '90 gave me a call and I woke up and switched to a dumb phone. Who cares about the camera in a cheap phone like this and what kind of games are in it? Yes it is made of plastic - but that doesn't mean it will fall apart from normal use. My advice - if you want to get away from Smartphones - this is a fine phone at an okay price!.
Would be fantastic if they just made its exactly like the original one but just made it work on modern waves,, keep the same size ect just make it like a pure google assistant ect
There's a growing market for people wanting to get away from boring modern phones that are almost indistinguishable from each other. With things like the Punkt costing quite a lot of money, there's room in the market for a high-quality feature phone with a next gen Kaios, but Nokia are just churning out cheap and nasty retro stuff. With the name recognition and some amazing phones in their history it's a crime that they are missing out on a return to form. I've been buying 13-14 year old Sony Ericsson's like the W995 and Xperia X10, they are amazing. Most of the features don't work anymore but I still get a huge kick out of having these brilliant bits of pocket candy instead of my boring, heavy Android slab pulling my trousers down as I walk.
I'm lucky in Italy 2g will be available until 2025 so I just went to my grandma's house and asked if she could give me her old nokias (105, 1800, 6061) and I use them whenever I want to detox from apps or I need a long battery life. All of them are from 2006-2013 and theyre still so solid and reliable. Old nokia were the real stuff... these new remakes suck.
It isn't a nokia, the brand is just licenced out to HMD Global as some would know. So it's just a name with a design inspired by the ones of the past. And 'milking" the fanbase, wouldn't really word it like that myself, but the message you are getting across there isn't wrong really. This newer 8210, along with other feature phones done the same way, with the name & modern-day design that have been done since the modernized 3310 (which i bought the 2G version, before i knew a 3G one was going to be made), along with the newer 8110 & 2720 were done to cash in on nostalgia. And yes, i bought them because of the "retro" inspired designs, and do like them for what they are. I don't have any issues with them, and they work just fine (besides the newer 2G 3310, the 2G signal is not in my country anymore which is a shame). And do have a decent few android smartphones phones too, but i do still like the simplicity of the feature phones also. They certainly are not for everyone, and some would rip right into them. Wouldn't mind using an original 8210 here, but for the reasons i mentioned i wouldn't be able to make calls & whatnot with it. So the the originals are the better ones of course, the newer ones don't feel as sturdy, with them not really being nokias. Just the name was licensed. But hey, we all have what we do & don't like, some will give these "recreations" you can call them what for, and some do like them & whatnot too. Each to their own as it were
The maker of this Video is not serious at all. First of all his English sucks, secondly he's in no position to criticize Nokia like that. His expectations were irrational and it clearly shows he's just running this channel for his sh!t reasons.
For all of my fellow people who grew up with Nokia phones when they dominated mobile phone market in late 90's early 00's im curious to know your opinions/answers on the following questions. 1: Which old classic Nokia phone model was your favourite that you would love to see Nokia do a modern day remake of (of course remake version would have to do the classic version justice and not fail miserably 😁) ? 2: Going by phones today and all the technological features and abilities, what would you want a modern day Nokia remake phone to have or even to not have ??
The best Nokia I owned was a 5140, that thing was build like a tank. I'm kinda surprised that Nokia is trying to cram all the features in to the 8210, from my point of view I would rather have a phone that just makes phone calls, and can send text mgs, the useless camera and facebook app, get out of here with that, and yes I'm an old grumpy grandpa ha! And for gods sake use USB C !!!
I had a 3310 like phone but a little bit more modern (it had the game bounce on it I remember), but my all time favorite one is the nokia 206!! A.MA.ZING! Had everything I wanted and it was close to a smartphone in some way, but cooler. Somehow nowadays this phone doesn't work anymore since I can not make calls anymore, which is quiet essential to a phone....
I want a LUXURY feature phone, I’d be very happy to spend a few hundred pounds on it. Think Rolex not timex. Everything small but very good quality. Eg I don’t want enormous megapixels of blurry distortion, just a very good lens so that 5megapixels is enough and file size is small. And then a fair few quid more on customisable covers (eg so you can switch from tactile rubber keypad to smooth plastic, or maximalist thick rubberised cover to minimalist smooth and shiny or even solid brass if that’s your thing) and accessories, and plenty of basic apps for popular email, bbc podcast streaming, audiobooks- all stuff you don’t need a screen for. I mean I check reviews from a year or so ago and they’re pleading for like basic gmail or something- why on earth would they think of launching a 4g platform without stuff like that? What do they expect us to do with all that bandwidth?! My favourite was called something like c2-01 or c1-02, one of the last with Symantec OS. It did everything a ‘mini’ smartphone did except break when you dropped it, and the build quality, camera lens, audio, call quality etc was far better quality and faster to use than the Samsung s3mini at the time. It was only when they stopped supporting the OS and nothing similar was the same quality that I was forced onto smartphones, which I hate. Instantly I lost access to all my music and most of my files, which I was fuming about.
Lol when he finds out he has to pay for the games! Going to turn on iPhone twice everyday and use this at work. Think I'm going to buy it or the Nokia 225 4G / Nokia 110 4G. I don't want the KaiOS Nokias because they have the possibility of WhatsApp, RUclips etc and that defeats the purpose of me buying one of these minimal phones! Thanks for the review.
Nokia for me will always be the company that committed suicide at its own success! My very first Nokia was the 101 analog! Yep, analog, digital didn’t exist so it was the mobile that you spent 90% of the call shouting, can you hear me now, is this any better! Fast forward to digital! Again, I had many Nokias but the best phone I ever had was the 8210. It done what I wanted, it rang when called, called when I needed it, forgive me if I forget to plug it in and charge but most of all, was always their when needed but never got in the way due to its size! It’s was perfect and I’d have one again in the blink of an eye. God knows what Nokia thought with the 8210 4g! Maybe they are desperately trying to bang home the final nail in the Nokia suicide coffin!

Bloody hell!🤯 I was interested in buying that phone, thinking it would be as small as it's 90's predecessors but not, it has the damn size of a regular smartphone which does not fit your trousers' pockets along with surpassed technology.🤢 How they could not keep the compact tech in a small case? - SUCh a LAZY & LAME KNOCKOFF indeed!!!🤦♀Disgusting! 🤮 As they used to say about big cellphones in the 90's: «What a brick!»😄
This 2022 phone can't be even close to one of the old nokia phone, like Nokia N86 there you got a high quality and a very good camera and you can download a thousands free games and apps, I mean come on you can't do that HMD you are destroying the great Nokia history 😑
There's really no pleasing people nowadays. The idea is to hark back to the past, to rekindle feelings, while embracing modern design aesthetics. The ergonomics have changed from the original version to the most modern one. Would you rather revive this version WITH ITS ORIGINAL DIGITAL BLOCK DISPLAY? The way you say "come on" when you opened the modern Snake is like saying the old one is better. Saying "this is the proper snake" makes one think if there's really a standard for Snake 😂. You're expecting for too much from this cheap, budget-friendly, nostalgic phooone, especially with the most basic cameraaaa. You ridicule the phone as if the rest of us are really expecting a snapdragon 888 like performance, with 108MP camera with 10x optical zooooom. You have a lot of "come on" like you really know how phones should be desiiigned. 😂😂😂 The idea is resemblance, NOT THE EXACT COPY.
I bought a 8210 in early 2000 for around $700, the most I ever spent on a phone. 😏 I'm posting this from a Nokia X10 so I am still a defacto "Nokia bi**h" so I can say it: I'm a old 8210 guy, and I ain't buying this new bigger version. 🎭
I bought this to my aunt and I have to say that this phone works actually quite well. Mr Volokin is very biased. It is very obvious. I suggest looking for other 8210 videos. And this ain't even in depth review. It's like he hates the phone from the start because it's not exactly the old 8210.
Man, I cannot agree more with you about any recent Nokia "remake"... 3210 4G, 3310 (all variants), 6310 and finally 8210.... god, they are SO UGLY, quality of matherials used is terrible and if you ask me, dont even look close to originals... I still remember when 8210 original arrived on market in my country - man, it was expensive! I couldnt afford it for a very long time, also those phones were "disconnected" from various european networks and prone to problems with restarting and diying MB - but people were constantly asking for it! 8210 was just EVERYTHING about design, kind of sport elegance, greatly mathching with lacoste and polo shirts with pockets from the same era... if it was like new model, no one would want it - with sharp edges, plastic clanky buttons and ugly cheap matte back - god forbid those "red" shade (looks more like a red brownish brick).... And if you close one eye to all this aesthetic problems - the biggest problem stays - nothing is catchy, nothing unusual, fresh and new as it used to be with originals (I loved 3210's design, large metal buttons on grey body and music composer :))... not any single new feature is present to make me pay 80-100eur for any of those two.... Nokia finally killed every single trace of my nostalgia, and thats the only thing they do properly for years... :( QIN F22 PRO is my choice for this summer's digital detox, and no, i dont mind android on f22, there are many ways to make it minimaly disturbing (and yes, it has everything 8210 and 3210 should have)...
Moving from 210 to 8210 4G, here are some downgrades: - Messaging is a mess, it creates different conversation with same number. - No individual sim offline option. - No ringtone for each sim. • High price with no USB type C.

20+ years ago the 8210 was a premium phone and very expensive in most countries. The new one at £60 isn't cheap considering you can buy an Android Nokia phone for the same money so actually it's a rip off.
Looks crap was gonna by it as second phone but its huge ...... trying to buy the 8210 old one ...must be a way to add 4g on the old phone ...I hate the apps and smart phones
I wont minde paying 150$ for a quality feature phone, with same abilities as smart phones. People forgot the meaning of a (mobile) phone. And with that bad quality of these chinese (toy) phones, makes me feel like they are making fun at people!
Yes, Hotspot with decent battery, GPS and some essential apps for taxi and payment could make it a viable smartphone replacement for many. But no they gotta put an FM radio there, gimmicky VGA camera SMH. Also some reviews said that 4G reception is not that great so it's no good for even calling. What a joke
No watsup, no wifi and gmail is not working properly. So you are cut off from people abroad and need to pay for sms and calls to them. BUT a bunch of useless features you don't really need: a youtube (who watches youtube on dumphone???), games you don't need. Pretty lame compared to previous nokia dumphone models.
sorry but this NOT a smartphone so stop comparing it to iphone or android it is a response to people who want a simple phone/ text. nokia made great phones as iphones just want all your personal data.so if you a reveiwing this phone let everybody make their minds up if they like it. you sound too young to know what mobile phones where like before now have too much tech their too big and cost a fortune. so try to be imparshall . you are bad reveiwer .
Clearly you haven't actually tried this phone, if you did you'd know it's hot garbage. And no, I'm not young I'm very likely to be older than you actually, and I've had Nokia phones since day one. Latest one I bought was in 2018, the 150 model, it was perfect. Great ergonomy, audio quality, usability, and functionalities, and all packaged into a small phone that fit into a women's pocket. This new model is the worst thing Nokia has ever made. If you time-travelled to the early 2000's and put this phone into the hands of someone from that era they would ask what's gone wrong with Nokia in the future to produce such a shitty flimsy phone.
@Pollywog The keypad is very bad so texting on this phone is a pain. It literally hurts my fingers. Take it from someone who usually loves Nokia: skip this model, it's just terrible.
If it was the same size , which is possible to make it would sell millions. these bullshit versions of Nokia that come out now looks all RUBISH , who ever is behind it must be fired and take me instead your creative / design department sucks and that why Nokia phones are failing .

Bloody hell!🤯 I was interested in buying that phone, thinking it would be as small as it's 90's predecessors but not, it has the damn size of a regular smartphone which does not fit your trousers' pockets along with surpassed technology.🤢
How they could not keep the compact tech in a small case?
- SUCh a LAZY & LAME KNOCKOFF indeed!!!🤦♀Disgusting! 🤮
As they used to say about big cellphones in the 90's: «What a brick!»😄
‚Uhhh I Want large font‘ 😭🤣🤣
Can i download games in this …. Like Jar files game ? Because i love to play classic games …! And in my chilhood ….. i use to to that so much …!
This 2022 phone can't be even close to one of the old nokia phone, like Nokia N86 there you got a high quality and a very good camera and you can download a thousands free games and apps, I mean come on you can't do that HMD you are destroying the great Nokia history 😑
True
Nokia N86 was in a different price range.
Why do you compare that to this?
It makes no sense.
How is the call quality and volume during the call?
Normal
The idea is resemblance, NOT THE EXACT COPY.
Can't believe you used so many words and still be wrong. £65 gets you many Android phones much more useful that that stick.
@@VoloKinProject that phone isn't for you. THOSE ARE FOR PEOPLE WHO ENJOY THE NOSTALGIA. Go buy your Android. 😂
It's only for misleaded people. That's why I'm here for.
@@VoloKinProject Nope. Nope. Nope. I'd still buy this, and so will many others. This video is the one that's misleading. 😂
If you don't mind getting screwed that's fine;)
Hey, I GOT IMPORTANT QUESTION, hard to find answers
Does it send every message separately (SMS), or does it have a chat?
I bought a 8210 in early 2000 for around $700, the most I ever spent on a phone. 😏 I'm posting this from a Nokia X10 so I am still a defacto "Nokia bi**h" so I can say it: I'm a old 8210 guy, and I ain't buying this new bigger version. 🎭
Thanks for sharing your story, I love those.
Your video was like watching a 9 year old review a house brick.
I'm glad you like it.
May i ask where did you buy this phone please 🙏
Nokia UK website
How is the call quality / sound while calling with this - the old and the new ?
Old - depends how dirty it is. New - must be better anyways.
@@VoloKinProject Is it as good as an android phone ? I am very glad if you can answer this.
Haven't tested it yet, but again it would depend which particular android phone it's against. Don't worry about that.
Can we connect the phone’s internet connection to PC and use internet in the PC
I seriously doubt but why would you want to do that anyway? Any cheaper android phone will do it easier.
Got excited, I just found out about the phone, glad I watched this video as I won't be buying
Moving from 210 to 8210 4G, here are some downgrades:
- Messaging is a mess, it creates different conversation with same number.
- No individual sim offline option.
- No ringtone for each sim.
• High price with no USB type C.
Sorry
Hey. Maybe you have found an alternative phone that has the features you mentioned in your comment?
Para que trae 4G? Si no es compatible con WhatsApp ni tampoco es la idea estar conectado a Internet. Que función le daría el 4g?
Hi. Does it have Email, WhatsApp and Google Maps? If not does it have a Store app like the 8110 to add them? Thanks.
No, you have to use the browser for that.
It's OK you giggling but at 75 I just need something that goes ring ring, won't be playing snake or using a camera. It's fine!
Plz tell my dear tell me does nokia 8210 4g have automatic call recorder
has this nokia increased font size in settings
It's a phone ffs. You can make phone calls on it. It's perfect. I don't know what you're waffling on about.
Price Rs 15,000 max.
5 to 6 inches, Compact / Mini 'Android 12' smartphones are required in 🇮🇳.
It's a phone with a keypad bad enough to give you carpel tunnel in just a few days. There is such a thing as a bad phone you know....
@@lsamoa Only if you're using it for hours on end every single day. I receive /make about 4 calls a day. It's hardly going to give me carpel tunnel syndrome ffs.
@@asensibleyoungman2978 What are you doing with your phone if you're not using it for hours on end every single day?? 😂

Where do you buy your collectibles?
I’m trying to find a half decent refurb original 3210, 6310 or 8210. Nigh on impossible.
I do them, but haven't got the time. Keep your eyes on eBay.
@@VoloKinProject
I thought you might say that, so I’ve had a little gander. I’ve been let down before a couple of times by ebay sellers, so I’m a little dubious of it now.
I’ll keep an eye out.
Thank you for your time.
Well, with 20+ year old phone there's so much you can do. Test the functions, clean it up, put aftermarket housing, get a charger, find a decent battery and pretty much that's it. It might last another 10 years or break tomorrow. You never know.
Hlw sir kya iss nokia 8210 4g phone me, chote vale jio phone ka sim support kr jaega ya nhi, plz reply

I noticed your missing the Nokia 3210, 3650 and banana/matrix phone
Seharus nya Nokia memasarkan kembali model hp symbian,di Indonesia msh byk peminatnya, jamin deh
#HMD #nokia I owned the new 3310. Having it left in my car in the 60c heat. The battery got damaged. I wanted this phone to be my emergency phone. But the phone did not work again ever
Sorry to hear that. It's funny how a basic backup phone is too much to ask from this phone and it fails to deliver
Do a camera review before durable test..
If it's the same as the banana phone it's ok for a VGA, but that's not much nowadays.
@@VoloKinProject thanks..

You wouldn't want to even if it can, the screen goes almost negative at the slightest angle.

Is it fragile?
About to find out later on today.
@@VoloKinProject Thanks for being patient and answering the questions. This may sound like a dumb one but is it possible to uninstall the browser? I wanna use this phone as a dumbphone
I don't think so but if you don't open it then it's not running in the background
It's unforgivably fragile for a Nokia
I guess you just make this review to ridicule Nokia, you forgot that no matter how these present phones of today appeared in the market, NOKIA is still the PIONEER of them all....🤔💪
Not really.
hotspot ?
Nope
The real 8210 is expensive in its time compared to the new one. It's made cheap because it is cheap.
20+ years ago the 8210 was a premium phone and very expensive in most countries. The new one at £60 isn't cheap considering you can buy an Android Nokia phone for the same money so actually it's a rip off.
It has bluetooth 5 but no wifi hoping this phone can support java game s30 os very bad
Bad Size 😝 Nokia going hell
I thought so too but they keep going on and on.
So they updated a premium product with a shitty cheap version? Very sad.
Pretty much
I don't buy this by money.
The wrong with this new nokia 4G phone has no hotspot.
i like then old better than the new...
It has 0.3 MP camera
They bet on Symbian and they loose, it's like that
Looks crap was gonna by it as second phone but its huge ...... trying to buy the 8210 old one ...must be a way to add 4g on the old phone ...I hate the apps and smart phones
Yes, definitely, very wrong..😏😏
This is not a real Nokia! 2014 Microsoft bought it I only by pre 2014!
Exactly
I wont minde paying 150$ for a quality feature phone, with same abilities as smart phones.
People forgot the meaning of a (mobile) phone. And with that bad quality of these chinese (toy) phones, makes me feel like they are making fun at people!
Exactly. As I said if they out a fingerprint reader in, some basic apps, 8mp camera, OLED screen and premium built it would be worth the remake.
What a joke
@@PKJSR yup
U play snake with 3 and 7. Like a pro. Haha
No watsup, no wifi and gmail is not working properly. So you are cut off from people abroad and need to pay for sms and calls to them. BUT a bunch of useless features you don't really need: a youtube (who watches youtube on dumphone???), games you don't need. Pretty lame compared to previous nokia dumphone models.
sorry but this NOT a smartphone so stop comparing it to iphone or android it is a response to people who want a simple
phone/ text. nokia made great phones as iphones just want all your personal data.so if you a reveiwing this phone let everybody make their minds up if they like it. you sound too young to know what mobile phones where like before now have too much tech their too big and cost a fortune. so try to be imparshall . you are bad reveiwer .
I've been fixing phones since 2001 and never ever mentioned iPhones anywhere. Although terrible, they could have at least put KaiOS in it.
Plenty other option for 1/3 the price for your needs
Why not just plant the tree?
Don't feel like it.
Good work. That phone does not represent the 8210 to me. Everything you say is true. Not buying it.
I genuinely thought this was a fake phone from the thumbnail, kinda a sad cashgrab.
It seems like it. I genuinely see no reason anyone to buy it.
Which one is better: this one or the 225 4G?
225 has smaller screen and battery, so even worse
No
.... that is a chonk phone compared to the original >.>
You drag it on so much.
I say what I want to say.
that ist too Big, 8110 4G with Kaios ist better
Probably
If it was the same size , which is possible to make it would sell millions. these bullshit versions of Nokia that come out now looks all RUBISH , who ever is behind it must be fired and take me instead your creative / design department sucks and that why Nokia phones are failing .
