I just had a 365xl done, now the other 365. A Glock 19 American Flag, I plan on keeping this local fella in business, he does Phenomenal Work, plus he is The Only Business local, I spend my Money local if at all possible.
I have been looking at which direction to go in coating my AR. It took me about a year and half to get all the parts lol. Cerakote doesn't have the colors I was looking for and it seems the other stuff like duracoat is trash, from the videos iv seen. I contacted a bunch of anodizing companies so hopefully 1 will do it for a reasonable price

Do you have to media/bead/sandblast the factory coatings off beige you apply cerakote? Or just apply directly on top ?
We degrease and blast everything before it gets coated :) Cerakote recommendations are 60 grit aluminum oxide, never bead blast.
Sorry, I just realized we replied as Utah Laser, we own both companies :)
Weird Cerakote told me 120 grit aluminum oxide. 60 is seriously rough. I've been in autobody and painting for 31yrs. 60 grit is what I use for grinding discs. I've completed 4 tip to but projects and have about 6 more in line.
Are there any plastic internals the p365 like in the Glock you have to watch out for ?

I may be wrong, but should the plastic liner of the striker come out before you bake the cerakoted slide?
My gunsmiths would know better than me but I don’t believe sigs have the plastic sleeve that glocks do, it’s built into the striker mechanism.
How do I get my slide to stop sticking now that its been cerakoted? Is this something that just goes away on its own/has to work itself out??
It depends on the tolerances of the gun but it sounds like you may have sprayed that area a bit too thick.

This is my worry too, that cerakote can interfere with slide functioning! Can you cerakote ONLY the outside of slide? The challenge is the outside "flows" into the inside of the slide at the chamber...
@@Lee-fi4vosince this post I have found a shop that does all of my cerakote work now, and ZERO issues with slide This man is wonderful and knows what he is doing. If you want to know who let me know. He does business from all over the world.
Great video! I’m just starting to coat. Do you coat the internal difficult details with a cone spray before spraying the outside? thank you
We do spray the inside but I’m not sure what a cone spray is.
@@tacticalpenguinofficial thank you!!! Cone being the more narrow spray pattern. I found the fan (wider) spray does not get the intricate details inside the slide
