Apple & Motorola were not innovative on removing the headphone jack. HTC did it in 2008

This makes me feel so old. I had this phone. It was wonderful in that time. The first phone I actually loved and found useful. Boy was it a heavy phone though.
Most of the things noah mentions in this video are still relevant to this day. Nice to see how he saw what android could be, rather that what it was. Android did become huge.

2015! Wahaha! Now we got ''octacore'' BIG little SoC 64 bit android phones with 4GB of RAM and very high res big screens that have cameras that can even record 4k video! Android has come a long way.
We have that stuff until the data cap, personally I don't like flagship phones mostly modest 1080p with 1ghz quad core and no bigger then 5inches but hey gotta lose your super phone virginity some day.

I'm thinking of getting a T-Mobile G1. I guess it's kindof outdated by now but would it be worth it? I mean, how big is the difference between it and newer android phones? I'm going to root it and customize it as much as possible.

ok i have a blackberry curve 8520 which has the optical tracpad u think i should trade that phone for this phone u think its worth it is this phone hard to operate and whats so good about it and is it wifi and what about the battery life or should i trade for a sidekick the new lx kind

I am considering getting this phone back. I got rid of mine originally because it was just a large headache. It wouldn't always work when needed for example it would crash when I needed to make a phone call. If the glitches like that have been worked out then I plan on replacing my secondary phone, which is currently a Sidekick LX which is now obsolete, with the G1 again. Thanks for the info, it reminded me how much I miss my device!

@youwannafanta the Droid is for Verizon (CDMA network) and the G1 is for TMobile (GSM). You can't use them interchangeably on the same network.
