I had a military green EnV in highschool. I've even considered going back to it, because I don't like how reliant on my smart phone I am. It was just such a solid phone for it's time, and I still haven't used a phone that was better for Tetris lol.
My mom had an env1 and I was in love with it when I was little. When I got old enough for my own phone my mom gave me my brothers old env2. I still reminisce about the env phones because they were the coolest phones I’d ever seen. I still have mine in storage :) if I could I would 100% go back to the env2 and use it in 2022
Holy throwback. My husband and I both had the LG enV and then the enV2. We got the enV in 2006. I remember I had the orange one and my husband had the olive green one. Then, in 2008, we upgraded to the enV2. They were really some solid phones and we never had a problem with them. As much as I love my iPhone, I REALLY miss that full physical keyboard! It made texting SO much easier and faster.
I feel like I’m so much faster on touch screen because you don’t have to press down as hard. But I was much better at touch typing without looking on physical keyboards haha
I remember also being so into phones and watching so many phone videos at this time, especially Verizon. I begged my mom for an env3 and finally convinced her when they went on sale. I went on the internet on it and bought ringtones all the time and our first bill was like $600 and she wanted to kill me lol. Then my friend gave me her moms old env touch and it was like the greatest day of my life
Omg haha. My parents would have killed me. They were so mad at me when I got a blackberry and hid from them that the bill would go up because of the mandatory data plan. They found out at the store 😅
@@FilMauve I think they worked out the bill somehow to not be that much but wow also remembering getting a blackberry curve 9330 in middle school and having to get the cheapest $10 data plan that barely had any data for my mom to let me get it. I remember all of these phones and wanted every single one but they was expensive back then and also we had 2 year contracts lol and by the time the contract ended they kept discontinuing them and making one more after another lol
I really wanted the original enV back in the day. It just had this uniqueness to it that you didn't see in many phones at the time. Ended up getting the enV2 in 09 and I had a blast owning it. I still wish I had mine... Might go look on Ebay to buy it again one of these days because nostalgia. That full keyboard was definitely a game changer!

Awesome video, I’ve always wanted these as a kid but didn’t have Verizon. I had some Sony Ericsson flipphone for T-Mobile at the time. I actually just ordered a envy and blackberry bold for about $12 each just for shits and giggles. It’s kinda funny that a $500 blackberry bold is now worthless nowadays.
My favorite was hands down the Voyager. It was my first touch screen phone. I had that baby for years until she just wouldn't charge any more. The enV 2 was my least because of the size of the front screen. Everything had to be done internally except phone calls. And trying to use the outer screen for selfies was pointless. The enV definitely had it beat on the selfie mode. Though the Voyager and enV touch were the best. Fun fact LG wanted to call the enV touch the Voyager 2 but a bluetooth company took the copy rights to name voyager so they settled on the enV touch
As far as I know, none of these phones can be activated anymore. I activated a Blackberry for a day for a video I ended up scrapping and while I missed the keyboard, I'm much faster on touch screen lol.
@@kchalu ah yes, they did have the iPhone. I feel like AT&T were just lacking phones like the voyager that technically weren't smart phones and required the data plan back then. I remember that after the voyager failed to live up to its "iphone killer" potential they tried to take another shot at making an "iPhone killer" and the result was the LG dare. It was so blatantly obvious that they were trying to copy the iPhone with the design. I was an LG fanboy because I loved the enV and chocolate line so I got the dare the day it released. I remember spending $400 which was sooooo expensive at the time only to be super disappointed. The hardware and look of the device was a slam dunk but... They forgot to make it a smart phone. I remember the dare! I got the Samsung eternity which was Samsung’s attempt at it but same problem, it wasn’t a smart phone. And the touch screen was awful over time.
