Sakif Maybe YES! Just came back to this video after watching a Fold video 😂 I watched this back in 2008... sadly all I had was a tracfone back than and wished of an iPhone 😂
5:12 “it’s zippy. You can see things started showing up right away” The little website dosnt load fully until 6:11 lmao. To think how slow that is compared to now is mind blowing
The touch screen is very simple but if you are a big texter that wont matter to you at all because its easy enough to get around with the simple touch screen. You will absolutely love the keypad!
the glyde being discontinued, i mean... omg. i'm excited. i'm getitng the voyager titanium next month! what a great birthday present to myself it'll be. lol! :D
Anyways, I really don't mind the size. Really like the touch screen. One thing he didn't mention is that you can flip open the phone while you're talking to someone and it'll turn on speaker phone when it's open. You can close it again and it'll go back to normal, all without hanging up. And it has a neat little antenna thing that comes out. :D
I have owned this phone from pretty much day 1 although im not on the same exact one but same thing.I just love everything about this phone. It is pretty much perfect for me.
I think your right. There have been rumors online that say Voyager 2 will come out later on in the year. We'll probably find something out for sure at CTIA later this month.
I asked the exactly same question when I was at verizon yesterday. The blac one is just basically the older voyager. The titanium one is the newer and upgraded one. If you prefer it in black, you could just buy a black skin for it and that should hopefully get the job done! :)
My friend has the Voyager and something that her phone can do is when u have all your photos you can make a slideshow on your phone and set it as your wallpaper for the inside of ur phone im not sure about outside. Its a pretty cool phone im going to get one in about 4 weeks. Oh, and you can change the theme so the menu is a different color but only black or white. (:
It depends on what you want. The Glyde and Voyager are very similiar in design, both have the external touch screen and internal keyboard. Gylde has a better design, because its smaller, more compact, and the fact that is slides makes it easier to access the keyboard. The Voyager's touchscreen is better though. It is bigger, and much more responsive. The Gylde has a lot of bugs with the touchscreen, and sometimes you have to push things several times to get them to work.
I have this phone and I love it, it's the best phone I have ever owned. Never had a problem with it but it's getting old and I am wanting a Droid. But I am having problems giving up my Voyager Titanium.
I have this phone & loved it at first. The phone makes nice clear calls, and is easy to text with. The problem is I am on my 3rd one, the first one the keyboard started to black out and I got a screeching noise coming from the speakers. This is a known problem with this phone. The replacement VZW sent me looked like they pulled it from a dumpster. So I told them I wanted another one, I got my 3rd one and the touch screen never wants to work right. It also doesn't like to charge 1/2 the time
* Standard LiPolymer Battery (950 mAh) * Travel Charger * USB Cable * V CAST Music with Rhapsody® CD * User Guide * Quick Reference Guide * Quick Start Guide Doesnt come with adapter, i got mine in january and it only came with those accessories listed, so idk if you got yours special or what
yesss it is. i know for sure its available with bell mobility, pretty sure telus doesnt offer it. but if youre with rogers or fido you can obviously just buy one and put in a sim carddd
good review. i just bought one and its coming in the mail tmrw. i like the size of the voyager...i dont like how small some phones are these days - i feel like id break them too easily lol.
If you tilt it to the side NO the touch screen will not change to the side i think Although when activating the CAMERA it does tell you to tilt it to the side and then OPTIONS button thing will turn. But i think thats about it other than that i dont think so.
I would say get it. I have one. It takes really good pictures. And, it can read out text messages to you, which is pretty pointless but its cool. The only problem I have with it is sometimes it takes a sec to send out texts
THANK U for bringing up this Little Detail! Wow, I must be way sleepier than I realized 'coz I completely overlooked this DETAIL till I'd read one other person's post (but only AFTER I'd left my own comment a few minutes ago, duh). 13 mins & all we heard was a quicky incoming msg. Unhelpful there. I do lots of vocal calls (if that's what to call 'em;-) & little text msg, & don't care to pay Verizon even more $s for my music. Did he even mention its 8 GIG storage (card) capacity? (aah details;-)
No i have a voyager and just got the new software it automatically locks after a set time or with the lock button on the side. then you unlock it when your ready with the front display or side button.
I wish my touchscreen still worked. I did get it to mostly work by separating its layers (just plastic and foil basically) but the second time i tore the foil
Yes, good camera, kinda slow at taking pictures, so motion pictures are kind of a no-no. But that might because I have the resolution up high. Camera zooms unless you have it on the highest res. It takes videos too, and you can zoom on that too. It has voice recording as well, holding down the button with the microphone on it on the front.
The voyager vs dare is really personal preference. If you want the best touchscreen, and really like using touchscreen, get the dare. It uses the touchscreen better, and has more cool features that use it like drawing, graffiti etc. If you want a keyboard for texting, get the voyager. You might find you dont like touchscreen THAT much, and when that happens you will be happy for the keyboard.
But, I thought with the larger keyboard you would be able to text faster on the Voyager than on the other two, especialy the Krave because of that giant plastic lid thingy gets in the way of your left hand.
The only diffrence is that the Titanium one of course is a diffrent color, and it also has an updated firware, which it only change some apparences and added some features, and the original one is the older firware and it's black, those are the only diffrences basically.
probably. im getting one for christmas too....you can just get a legit screen protector (that probably will be clearer)and a protective case that comes in a bunch of designs. but if you don't wanna do any of that, then yes, you can keep the screen covers on lmao.
I paid $80 with the usual 2 year contract for this phone. I used it until I upgraded to the Blackberry Storm, and it was the best phone for the price that I paid. But price only matters if you're paying for it yourself, if you're a high school kid and your parents are forking out the money for your phone, the LG Dare is a better version of this phone for a little bit more. If you are actually paying for this with your own money and worried about price, $80 is great for the Voyager.
it really depends there is a video that compares both phones and also the EnV 2 from phone dog check it out. I am getting the Voyager in about a month but thats just my choice.
I miss the keyboard on this thing. This was my second phone and I dropped it over the balcony and so had to get a new phone. I've now had two smart phones (now I'm using the Razr Maxx) since and the keyboards (especially on my OG Droid) could never compare.
You can use this phone on prepay I'm pretty sure. If you buy it full retail then that is over $400 dollars. The only phones that you can't use on prepay are smartphones/pdas/blackberries.
the new env touch is basically the voyager 2 but it's a lot better with a lot more applications. the touch screen responds a lot better than the voyager in my opinion. you should watch this guys' review on the env touch.
It is a good phone. The best touch screen with full qwerty key board. But it can get old quickly. But i grow bored with phones lol BUT it is an amazing phone. No problems with it. Had it for about a year now
I'm definately considering ditching my Samsung Glyde (with the firmware update) tomorrow and turning it in for a Voyager. I also want to know why the Verizon Wireless website lists the Glyde as $150 and the Voyager as $100, when clearly, the Voyager is a better phone.
no they dicontinued it, now verizon has the titanium which i dont like cuz i dont like the color, you can find the black voyager on ebay, i just bought one this passed week for $200 which isnt bad because theres more pricey ones on there.
Hey,Great reviews on the diffrent phones. I'm looking for a phone it will be my first and now I'm trying to decide between the Dare,Titanium Voyager or the Samsun Glyde. I will be doing alot of texting and music but does the touch screen last long for as expensive as these phones are. Please let me know what to get. And thanks for the reviews on diffrent phones very helpfull.
i have this phone and there are ALOT of things that bother me: the full qwerty keyboard on the touch screen is ONLY available on mobile IM and music searching (my biggest complaint) and it's too large.
Great Video! i have a few questions as well.. first, the earphone socket, what size earphones does it take is it the universal or those smaller ones u buy at verizon? next, the memory card, would the memory card thats compatible with the LG chocolate 2 work in that phone? also can it play mobile youtube videos? last would be overall i was debating on whether or not to go with the Dare or this one which do you think you be the best buy?
came here from mkbhd's recent video of samsung's galaxy fold
Yup
Same lol
yup
Hive mind
same
Father of Galaxy Fold
Sakif Maybe YES! Just came back to this video after watching a Fold video 😂 I watched this back in 2008... sadly all I had was a tracfone back than and wished of an iPhone 😂
had this phone my senior year of High School (2009) lol. i loved It.
Incredible how far phone technology has come.
NO WAY. THE NOSTALGIA, I watched this EXACT video when I was like 10-11, I'm now 24
the OG galaxy fold
5:12 “it’s zippy. You can see things started showing up right away” The little website dosnt load fully until 6:11 lmao. To think how slow that is compared to now is mind blowing
ive had this phone for 2 years. Havent had a single problem with it. Great phone

Wow he’s excited about getting voicemail on his phone😂
seriously dude.
i have it too.
my shit broke and insurance said they would send me the enV touch and my mom said i wanted the voyager!
WTF!
You know what they say don't dance with success
The touch screen is very simple but if you are a big texter that wont matter to you at all because its easy enough to get around with the simple touch screen. You will absolutely love the keypad!
the glyde being discontinued, i mean...
omg. i'm excited. i'm getitng the voyager titanium next month! what a great birthday present to myself it'll be. lol! :D
getin my voyager tomorrow im so happy!

You can close it again and it'll go back to normal, all without hanging up. And it has a neat little antenna thing that comes out. :D
I honestly want this phone back... after all the Blackberrys and Androids and Windows phones i have had, this one was my favorite
you can still get back... but not at stores very often but online, but you'll want the update.
I have owned this phone from pretty much day 1 although im not on the same exact one but same thing.I just love everything about this phone. It is pretty much perfect for me.

You should get the Voyager. I was skeptial because the screen was kinda small compared to the newer phones, but the keyboard makes up for it.
I have the regular Voyager. It's still amazing.
(:
this would be great today updated 12 years later I still have mine
Im gettin this phone tomorrow... the best ever!!!

its all ready out it has a detachable keyboard and its a full touch screen and it will have many other detachable things in the future
I have this phone and I love it, it's the best phone I have ever owned. Never had a problem with it but it's getting old and I am wanting a Droid. But I am having problems giving up my Voyager Titanium.
you makes the best phone reviews ever
i'm getting the voyager in 2 days! awesome!
omg i miss this phone i had it for so long omgosh i luv the old phones

My new Z Fold3 in 2021 brought me here. It reminds me of this thing a little.
Memories
it does have the vibrate feature! push the volume button down until it says vibrate only!

My, how things have changed...
I wish my touchscreen still worked. I did get it to mostly work by separating its layers (just plastic and foil basically) but the second time i tore the foil
Some stores might, but I would highly reccommend checking out eBay for some brand new ones, then updating that way. If that's possible...
Yes, good camera, kinda slow at taking pictures, so motion pictures are kind of a no-no. But that might because I have the resolution up high. Camera zooms unless you have it on the highest res. It takes videos too, and you can zoom on that too. It has voice recording as well, holding down the button with the microphone on it on the front.
it has a touch screen keyboard for the outside screen, I used to have the black one, great phone but then i got a XV6800 smartphone
Hey thanx for the information,I'm planing on getting the Titanium Voyager because i like to text.
The voyagers a really good phone I've had I for like a year nd a half nd had no problems
But, I thought with the larger keyboard you would be able to text faster on the Voyager than on the other two, especialy the Krave because of that giant plastic lid thingy gets in the way of your left hand.
no it doesnt have flash support but the env touch and lg versa do
I couldn't really handle the Dare, so I'd recommend the voyager. I had too many problems with the dare.
Im getting this like Tomorrow. Hope its kick ass
I have the LG Dare, but I want this now!
The only diffrence is that the Titanium one of course is a diffrent color, and it also has an updated firware, which it only change some apparences and added some features, and the original one is the older firware and it's black, those are the only diffrences basically.
visual voice mail..
u dont have to call in
u can choose which to listen to from phone!
probably. im getting one for christmas too....you can just get a legit screen protector (that probably will be clearer)and a protective case that comes in a bunch of designs. but if you don't wanna do any of that, then yes, you can keep the screen covers on lmao.
i'm getting that phone tomorrow too
Really awesome review. I'm getting mine tomorrow. (:
thanks
now i want it
i know that is a stupid reason but the black one looks a lot cooler than the white one
I paid $80 with the usual 2 year contract for this phone. I used it until I upgraded to the Blackberry Storm, and it was the best phone for the price that I paid. he is really good iam getting this phone on sunday
No they don't. Your friend bought it from some where else. It's not on the verizon site. Its not in stores.
I love this phone!
my friend has the voyager and its a pretty cool phone
if u have verizon i recommend it
im gettin the vu 4 christmas!!!!
it really depends there is a video that compares both phones and also the EnV 2 from phone dog check it out. I am getting the Voyager in about a month but thats just my choice.
Its already dropped twice in the last two weeks. It used to be 149.99 with a 2 year contract.
noah, you should make a vid on the blackberry pearl...
and has anyone noticed that most clamshell messaging phones open the same way?
If you are already subscribed to Rhapsody, do you still need VCast to use it?
your gonna get the new voyager same thing happened to me....they discontinued the black one.
I miss the keyboard on this thing. This was my second phone and I dropped it over the balcony and so had to get a new phone. I've now had two smart phones (now I'm using the Razr Maxx) since and the keyboards (especially on my OG Droid) could never compare.
It is a great phone. Get it! It doesn't allow you to use a virtual QWERTY on the front. That feature is on the Dare.
u dont actually get the memory card adapters....that was just for his test model courtesy of Verizon
You can use this phone on prepay I'm pretty sure. If you buy it full retail then that is over $400 dollars. The only phones that you can't use on prepay are smartphones/pdas/blackberries.
the new env touch is basically the voyager 2 but it's a lot better with a lot more applications. the touch screen responds a lot better than the voyager in my opinion. you should watch this guys' review on the env touch.
just got this phone i agree with u a lot but it is the awesomest phone ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is a good phone. The best touch screen with full qwerty key board. But it can get old quickly. But i grow bored with phones lol BUT it is an amazing phone. No problems with it.
Had it for about a year now
that's what i'm trying to decide between.... and its very difficult... which one would you choose?
theres nothing wrong with the glydes touch screen it works perfectly fine, i have one and i LOVE it
I'm definately considering ditching my Samsung Glyde (with the firmware update) tomorrow and turning it in for a Voyager. I also want to know why the Verizon Wireless website lists the Glyde as $150 and the Voyager as $100, when clearly, the Voyager is a better phone.
I kinda miss the early 2000s...
no they dicontinued it, now verizon has the titanium which i dont like cuz i dont like the color, you can find the black voyager on ebay, i just bought one this passed week for $200 which isnt bad because theres more pricey ones on there.
I have this phone
Agreed, my glyde sucks because it's constantly being over used. That's why i switched to the voyager
i have this phone and there are ALOT of things that bother me: the full qwerty keyboard on the touch screen is ONLY available on mobile IM and music searching (my biggest complaint) and it's too large.
Great Video! i have a few questions as well.. first, the earphone socket, what size earphones does it take is it the universal or those smaller ones u buy at verizon? next, the memory card, would the memory card thats compatible with the LG chocolate 2 work in that phone? also can it play mobile youtube videos? last would be overall i was debating on whether or not to go with the Dare or this one which do you think you be the best buy?
its an awsome phone and im gettin one next month
the voyager is discountinued but ....im lucckkyyy . the best buy store had 9 left and i bought one!!!! im sooo happy . i
noah i think you are very helpfull with your great reviews. do you think it matters that i have the black voyager instead of the titanium
LOVE the video....but, love the phone. I like that the phone is a little more substantial...it's easier to hold...and not so "flimsy"....
thank you
