Bought this exact phone on release. It was the bomb when it came out...Though, things got really interesting with the release of iPhone and Android.. I remember watching TV on this phone with it's antenna at DFW airport one time when I was returning to duty from leave. That's the only time/place I ever was where that feature actually worked. But, it was super cool at the time. Believe I watched a bowl game of some kind on my phone. Now that sentence means nothing, but then it was very neat.

Love hearing your story and your time with the Voyager (: I do wonder how many people owned a Voyager and never knew that antenna was there! It resembles a spot for a stylus. You were at the peek of technology that day! So cool you got one on release!! Did you end up getting an iPhone of Android directly after owning this phone?

@@gGadget I ended up leaving my voyager in a cab in Hawaii lol...was a fun night lol. Anywho, I went to BlackBerry (Bold9000) the very next day. Then 2yrs or so later, tried a BlackBerry torch for a few days. Then I saw what Android could be on a HTC inspire 4G. I returned the torch for an inspire. Android ever since. About half OnePlus half Samsung since!

I wonder if this would survive a fall from a 10th floor balcony

Could you use it in other countries?

That’s a good question.. I know some regions still have active 2g/3g networks, though I think a lot of them would need a gsm phone. And this is cdma.. so I’m not sure! I wish the US still supported them. I’d love to use phones from this era again

Are you doing the LG Veins in Pink next?

If you wanted to try and use a 3G phone, all you would have to do is give Verizon the Hex number of the phone and see if it works. It would be very expensive though.. Service wouldn’t be that great

It's just sad that LG left the smartphone market

It is! Their designs for basic phones were always some of the best. Sad to see it didn’t work out for them in the same success for smartphones. The LG Wing was quite the phone to go out with though! Very LG in terms of creativity (:
