That's the story of most of the albums I pick up out in the wild ! I really respect what it takes to put a record together, and a high respect for all musicians, singers, engineers and so on ! I get stuff on the cheap so much, and I'm so fortunate that my region has always had a ton of good records available in thrift and 2nd hand shops ! Glen "The Man" Campbell !! Oh Yeah !

Wow, what a box from Mark! It's amazing how he watches YT channels and picks up on the things we love and always puts together such perfect and generous VCLT packages, just amazing. And I can see how excited you are about the surprises he put into that package. Yes! thank you for saying that about Journey and the 3 pre-Perry years. Love those albums, especially the "Next" album. Leo Kottke is great and too often, ignored. What an amazing guitarist he is! Wow, such nice art POP for The Beatles....Great stuff!

He really does, Mike ! And.. No. Thank you for acknowledging how great those first three Journey albums are ! The first track of the debut is mind blowing as is Look Into The Future ! My favorites, so far with this VCLT is.. The Byrds comp.. and the Leo Kottke is excellent, actually.. everything is terrific as I have already played it all !

@@jtsrecordroom3963 I think Give ‘Em Enough Rope is totally instant, first play wonderful. Although it’s The Clash’s second album it’s very rocky and begins to move the band from punk to rock imo. I think a lot of this is down to the excellent Sandy Pearlman who had Produced Blue Oyster Cult and The Dictators. But I think he had that rock edge to his Production. Great album, Safe European Home my favourite on there. Sandinista totally different. Self Produced and CBS let them make another long album. Probably should have been a double as opposed to a triple, I think that would have made it a much better album. But loads of strong tracks on it. Streetcore……oh yes! a top 10 album ever for me JT. I have ! It is a terry Zwigoff doc.. The director that brought us "Ghost "World" with Steve Buscemi as "Seymore" the record collector. ( he only collects 78's ) Too too funny ! Also "Bad Santa" is a classic.. but "Badder Santa" is the best !!! (Uncut version ).Crumbs brother was a total wreck nerdy hermit for sure ! Robert seemed .. normal ? Compared to him !

    2. which card would you rather have Son House or a 1952 Eddie Matthews?
    2B. Son House or a 1953 Mays?

No I don't know R crumbs it sounds like to me that he's a bigtime collector in comic books if I heard you correctly.. the name is NEVER mentioned in Beckett.

Nice VCLT, kudos to Mad4Vinyl, so awesome! Cool ps for Jefferson Airplane, love that track from 30 Seconds Over Winterland. The sleeve for the Byrds is pretty cool too. I have a book of R. Crumb's Blues Legends with his illustrations of Robert Johnson, Lightnin' Hopkins, Leadbelly and others, cool book if you can find it. I also have some underground comics of Zap and The People's Comix, which has lots of R. Crumb's work in them. And not to dwell too much on the subject, have you seen the documentary Crumb? check it out if you get the chance, it's an amazing film. Thanks for sharing a nice VCLT haul Jt, take care.

I have seen "Crumb" and I put it with my other Terry Zwigoff films Badder Santa" and Ghost World" I'm gonna negotiate this week with a guy over a whole R. Crumb collection ! You can dwell for days about Robert Crumb's artwork ! Mad 4 Vinyl is a favorite channel. because of his very fat collection ( he's hard core ).. Oh..and he's a nice guy ! LoL !!

I had forgotten that "Have You Seen The Saucers' was from "30 Seconds Over Winterland" ! I've always been more of a Dead Head than into The Airplane.. Don't get me wrong, I love Jefferson Airplane, just not at the level of The Grateful Dead and other killer Bay Area bands. Thanks, Michael !

Are you aware that there are 2 great contest going on I saw Guz's entry one is about 3's show your recent 3 pick ups, show 3 albums that came out when you were 3 years old, show 3 albums that came out when you were 13 , show 3 albums that have a band or album title with 3 in it , show 3 record album set and a trio of 3 different bands?
2nd contest which I saw No solutions response show 10 albums where the sophmore is as good as the debut.
I would love to see your responses to these contest.?

Won't have time, Mark..I have watched a couple of responses to these contests, and I know both channels. I do one vid a week and can fit in a thread or contest on occasion. Thanks for the suggestion,though.. working extra days this month, and activities with family, as well. All week long. every week.. is when I watch a lot of friends video's, especially the ones that watch mine. Have a good day !
