See, now here's a NICE down-to-earth genius who explains things in ways ordinary people can understand and doesn't make them feel like inferior idiots, unlike Evighetsmaskinen guy, who was quite frankly, kind of a prick.

Meanwhile, Leif Juster would have turned in his grave I think. I normally don`t react much to swearing at all, but that last compilaton was.... spicy. She said diplomatically.
To be fair, evighentsmaskinmannen is an actual genius while this guy is a medio-lunatic with ideas that don't get realized because they are flawed. I believe evighetsmaskinmannen wasn't completely familiar with the "funny, crazy guy" feel that the show tries to capture. He shouldn't have been in this type of program, really. Ylvis assumed initially that he was just another old crazy guy, probably they didn't research him very well.

It's kind of frustrating to see this old inventor claim that he's finally developed a concept which should yield renewable energy at 0.01 NOK per kWh. I guess it's been looked at by people who actually understand the concept (despite his claims) and found it to be flawed, but maybe not.. What if the concept is brilliant and useful despite his inability to sell it?
Triggerfisk I read some journals said that tidal wave is bigger potential than solar and wind. I guess arnold has some points.
maybe he's fucking sure of himself, but id think that probably an engineer reviewed his plans and found them to be flawed. but what we know is that developing efficient renewable energy is being researched all over the world. If you want, exclude US, but it's a conspircary theory that the US government is actively stopping that. Why in the world would they not want renewable energy? US have a lot of oil but will dry out way earlier than the middle eastern states and Venezuela. They don't even control the market, Saudi-Arabia and OPEC does. Its just a fact that oil still is a more efficient source of energy, hence the oil preference.
