Yay, a new-to-us subtitled episode of this great show! Thanks, ladies, it's much appreciated! Very entertaining. I must say, though, Oddvar was a bit... odd. Lol. He sure does love his pens. And that sheep! Omg, that was funny. The poor guys kept trying to nudge him down to the basement, and after all that, there wasn't even much to see there. Lol
Oh thank you so much for sharing this. I could watch Norges Herligste for days in a row. They are always so nice and honest with everyone and laughing so much. It seems like they were having a lot of fun making this series.
You have made me soooo happy! You have no idea how much I love these!! Thank you so much!! :)
PhotoChic83 You're welcome! I love these too! Imagine my surprise when I realized that there was one that we somehow had missed last year. It was like finding a treasure. Hope you all will enjoy it. Some pretty funny things are sort of lost in translation though, like his pronouciation of "Sunbeam Stewart". If Bård wouldn't had said it, I don't think we could've figured it out what Oddvar was saying. His English isn't the best and his dialect isn't the easiest one to understand.
Oh YAYYYYYYY!!!!! I fell in love with Scandinavia because of this series. I'm so happy to see a new episode. Wasn't that fellow on their show at some point? The photo of the sheep made my laugh until I cried. Fantastisk! Tusen tusen takk!
TaiChiKnees Yes, he was on IKMY, episode 12, in the first season (it's worth to watch again, just for their beautiful laughter). I'm glad that people are happy to see this now, rather than being mad at us for forgetting about it earlier... Yeah, I loved that part with the sheep too, that they made that love story angle with the pan flute and everything. I can just imagine them laughing in the editing room coming up with that idea.
Quirentia Oh, please don't think anyone would be mad at you for forgetting an episode! We're all just so grateful that you take the time to do this! This one is like a lost treasure - something we especially enjoy because we weren't expecting it!
+Canadian Mooselim I think so. If you watch the "Ma Pantha Anjana"-episode, there is a little part that's like "3 weeks later, editing", so I think they were a part of the editing process.
English subtitles! Yes! Thanks 🦊
Veldig flott episode :) tusen takk guys for uploading it. :)
Sett denne 50 ganger å like morsomt hver gang 🤣🤣🤣🤣
LMFAO THE PEEEEEEEENS
Oh. Cool you guys are ausome
I thought the pens were very interesting, too bad they didn't stick around for those longer...
I have a pen

Is this show completely theirs? I mean the idea, script and so on, or are they just hosts? Cause for example the part with sheep picture shows truly "their" sense of humor and I saw this type of editing to make things more absurd and funnier in many episodes. Or maybe it's simply Scandinavian sense of humor?
Yeah, it's Scandiavian humor, but Ylvis made their own spin on it. The format is from a Swedish show called "Hundra höjdare" with Filip Hammar and Fredrik Wikingsson (Filip & Fredrik). In season 4 they visited Swedes and in season 5 of that show they visited people in the Scandinavian countries, and some of the same people who are in Norges herligste and Nordens herligste like "Livsforlengeren", "Arnie Norse", "Sminkmannen", "Turkietmannen", "Berlinmurkvinnan", "Dra-bil-med-kuken-mannen", "James Bond-Mannen", "Indianmannen" and "Art Ranger". I think you can find some of those episodes on RUclips, but they are not translated, and I don't think Filip and Fredrik is as good as Ylvis, anyway, but if you want to see more of those people I mentioned it might be fun. In their 6th season they went to the US and met this kind of people there.
Wow! Thanks for a comprehensive answer!
Missed a great punchline with the name "Oddvar" - Strangewas the Sheepshedding Man
Dokke sa Olden kommune Olden ligger i Stryn kommune
was this pen really speaking german? :)
yes, yes it was :D
yes it is!! ^^ its completely out of context so I don't even get an imagination in which situation somebody would say this - the guy says: "dude there is still another ... (I didn't get that part, cause he's screaming it) ... in. Come on just put the shot in there you idiot!!! ("Flasche" literally means "bottle", in german its also a "synonym" for "idiot" ;)
