i have use v- groove pully for my machine but non standard so what is my pully size i can design pully for my machine it is possible to calculate pully size or we have one pully diameter like motor or machine
Hi Akash, I'm not sure about it without seeing the actual application. However here is some point that could help you to take decision 1. For general application, our aim should be minimise size of the pulley size 2. Pully size should be as large which can allow V belt bending very well (depending on belt series Like C, N, R) 3. Belt Warp angle on smaller pulley should be greater than 120 deg. 4. In the case of V belt, to keep the belt tight in the groove, design the pulley groove with a little different angle.
How can I decide power rating which not showing in manufacturer catalogue I have motor run 750 rpm pully dia 330mm but in catalogue only show pitch speed rpm 700 and next one is 900 so how can I decide what is my true power rating and additional power rating my belt has d section d220 classic
Awesome video...at one point i was very desperate to know these but i didnt get a good teacher...you are like that college topper who teaches everything
i would like to say thanks for brother. i have been designed lot of machines but not proper load calculation , only trail and error methods or Re-Engineering design but now i can improved some design calculation because of your effort. please if you can post JIB CRANE design calculation next upcoming videos.
Hello, can you guide me please. How to use this language of catalogue which you used in this useful video to order timing belt for different cars from manifecturer?. Regards
I have a GT2 timing belt 2mm pitch and 6mm width, no catalogue, it's commonly used in 3D printers and cnc machines, if you search GT2 timing belt you will get it in first result. Now what it's breaking power and working tension?
Hi sir i have a timing pully which get 8mm deviation one end to another how resolve this problem, and split bush and pully fitted properly ,saft run out radial 0 . 05mm Axial 0.1mm
Once I determine the right belt, how do I know how long the belt will last? In Misumi's case they do not specify how long their belts last for, so even when I choose the correct belt I do not have any indication of the performance of the belt in terms of service life. Could you provide some detail on this?
Yeah true, I'm giving you a PDF link, this might help you of kind of research purpose, just skin thought it, you will get the idea. citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/document?repid=rep1&type=pdf&doi=f2f5f2cc94907b8af9b403ac08342088b246b9c3#:~:text=The%20number%20of%20shaft%20revolutions,reported%20as%20the%20belt%20life.
I want to convert a sprocket to sprocket chain drive to a pulley to pulley belt drive, I have all the chain info but can't find a conversion calculator, I want the cog type belts & pully's and the center to center distance in less than 18 inches
Hi, There is no such direct conversation between chain and timing belt drive. First list down your current setup parameters like torque or power and speed, and make selection of timing belt and pulley from scratch
Sir , I want to use timing Belt and pully for reciprocal application ( forward backward to move the load) , then how to calculate motor Power require to move the load ?
Just go to MISUMI website (make your login, if you don't have) select any product, and we will see tab for catalogue, click on it and then click on catalogue (2 page view) and then download it
For selection purposes you don't need to specify material, just specify the grade like T5 T10 etc. however , As per the catalogue, they use chloroprene rubber, and glass fibre as core wire, material composition can be different from manufacturer to manufacture. But they mainly use hard rubbers (shore hardness A80 or above) and they use wires to make it strengthen against tension.
I guess. you should first make selection of timing belt, - series, pitch and width as per required torque and speed then make selection of timing pulley according to timing belt. same i have explained in this video.
I will give you spacifications 1.driving pully No of teeth:48 Belt type:H Rpm:1440 rpm 15 hp motor three phase induction Centre distance:410.78 2.drven pully Belt type:H No of teeth:48 both pully od :192.37 Company selected belt is:630H How is that possible Because pitch length is different Please help
Great video. The only thing I don't understand is why the reference transmission capacity is less at low rpm. Why would a belt be able to handle more power if it's moving faster?
Belts are actually rated for torque. The log log graph rpm vs power is a straight line because of a constant torque rating. The top rpm limits heat build up due to flexing. These are selection guides, meant to be used judiciously.
Request u to please verify calculations before making screens for your video. Make them in excel on ur end. These also make ur presentation weak due to wrong calculation being displayed without cross verification or formula not presented properly. Best of luck.

And one thing I forgot pully groove is standerd but diameter is non standerd

Diameter doesn't matter at all in general applications
OK I FIND INPUTS FOR MY APPLICATION FOR MAKE PULLY

Thank You so much brother!! I'm always here. ❤️
Bro believe me you are doing a great job for those out there struggling to find better video to help them out in machine design
Thank you so much prem 😊😊
Thanks!
OMG, Thank You so much!! So nice of You.
Most technical & all attentive information for this topic. Liking liking
In 13:55 please teach me how to calculate the maximum and minimum length of belt i didnt understand
I will explain in a video
@mastermechanicaldesign please explain it🥹

Thank you so much Sathish, Jib crane Yes sure I'll bring complete design series with calculation
thanks brother.❤
Great video... Very helpful....
Thank you 😊 I'm so glad
Very informative, thank you for this video
Hello, can you guide me please. How to use this language of catalogue which you used in this useful video to order timing belt for different cars from manifecturer?. Regards
For Cars, you don't need to make selection, just use recommended model and brand
@@mastermechanicaldesign thanks
Good video. Great 👍. Please complete the bearing selection series faster.
Thank you so much!! ❤️ Yes Fenil, Very soon Bearing videos are coming back to back.
Good video. Great . Please make a video on chain conveyor motor Selection and Calculation
Sure 😊
Is there is any video avilable on conveyor with chain ?
Coming soon

Only 6 mm width? You can consider any manufacturer any timing belt model which has pitch 2 mm and width 6 mm. power would be approx same

There is a formula. (Required force at max angle) Kindly on internet
Or I'll make a quick video
What about herringbone-patterned teeth timing belts?
Special type of timing belt. Not commonly used.
If I am calculating for GT2 , how to get the reference belt width (WP)? Thanks.
Please refer to the manufacturer catalogue
If I require T5 pulley then where is is pulley size catalog? I am unable to get it. Please provide link
Hi, As I'm not sure, which manufacture timing pulley you want to use,
so please visit manufacture website and download their catalogue directly.
@@mastermechanicaldesign Sir I'm asking about misumi
Will you please create video series on steel plant fabrication valve design. Such as Butterfly valves etc.
Yeah, in future
Please complete bearings selection lectures fastly
Sure Ajit

Thank you monish
How download product catalogue from misumi site?
Just go to MISUMI website (make your login, if you don't have) select any product, and we will see tab for catalogue, click on it and then click on catalogue (2 page view) and then download it

Dear Sir
Please make a video on design of boxway and slideways.
I have searched a lot but no where information about these are available.
Boxway, sure!! There is a slideway video
Thank you Sir👍
So nice of you. You welcome
Bhai ek video speed caculation par banao
Hi Krishan, Kis mechanism ki speed calculation janana chahte hai, thoda sa explain karye
Please send me the physics book link bro . That link was ended

Leak test fixture cylinder selection calculations
Noted Manivannan
But same size pully that calculation won't work so what is the solution
I don't understand, how calculation does not work
My both pully are same size but when I calculate my belt pitch length was wrong then my belt selection was wrong so that I require solution
I guess. you should first make selection of timing belt, - series, pitch and width as per required torque and speed then make selection of timing pulley according to timing belt. same i have explained in this video.
I will give you spacifications
1.driving pully
