- Today we are watching ENCHANTED for the first time. This movie was better than I expected honestly. I was not interested in this movie as a child but now it has me wanting a fairy tale ending but... what else is to be expected from Disney.

Elsa: You can't marry a man you just met.
Enchanted: BET?
Idina Menzel
@@nathancruz9172 Nancy marry Edward so easy haha
Lol they got to that lesson later
The irony that Elsa’s VA’s character Nancy married the prince in a few minutes-😭💀
"You can't marry a man you just met!"
Ok but why did the Prince have to go through so much I feel bad 💀
1. Dead parents
2. Abusive mom and no friends bc of her
3. Crossing dimensions for the person you love
4. Going with your fiancé’s crazy shit bc you LOVE HER
5. Realize it doesn’t matter
6. Give her up bc she’s that important to you
7. Finding out that your mom spends all her time making sure you’re miserable (this one is the worst good night)
How the hell is he still so nice and lovely to people I would be OVER IT
Nancy the one that ends up with the prince is Idina Menzel (Elsa's voice in frozen) and the secretary is Jodi Benson (The little mermaid's voice). The narrator is Julie Andrews
And his neighbor is the voice of Pocahontas
@@bsharahourany154 well the actress who did Pocahontas's singing voice. Also Belle's voice actress is the actress in the soap opera that Nathaniel was watching.
The two old ladies taking at the ball were the women who played Aurora and Cinderella.
@@mldiluna969 ok no😂
Susan Sarandon is amazing as Narissa.
This movie is UNDERRATED, it’s getting a sequel called “Disenchanted” coming to Disney+ next year!
WAIT REALLY?! I never knew, gonna have to keep my eye out for it. Def wanna watch it
Whaaaat?! Nuh-uh! Really??
I'm kinda worried about it tho...this first movie set the standards HIGH already...worried it'll be like the fifth movie of Pirates of Caribbean
I love watching this movie, when I was 10 years old.
@@julie_anne me too o, especially since the name is disenchanted 😭
*Sees Nancy*
"...Thats her? :| "
... Girl. This is literally Elsa
And Elphaba.
Yeah! It’s none other than Idina Menzel!!
These three comments are like the Disney version of “The man, the myth, the legend!”
@@fazbearfanatic4358 I have respect for Idina. So yeah.
Fun fact about Narissa. She's not the average dragon. She's some giant fish like thing.
You can tell by her design, she's got fins, the blue, she communicates through water, the final battle is in the rain. Even her name Narissa means Sea Nymph, and black hair which she has.
Makes so much more sense
So what your saying is she's maleficent, evil queen AND Ursula combined
@@user-hp7gc2oy7d Pretty much
we stan the labyrinth
Maybe she's related to Sisu.
Lakia, if you go back to the beginning of the movie, where Giselle is making her 'prince' mannequin, you'll notice who he REALLY looks like
Robert.
Wait i never released that until now 😱
YOU’RE RIGHT OoO
Easter egg
The "unrealistic dreams" part is so true omg 😂😂
Right … lol
There’s a bunch of references to other Disney movies in this
For example
The narration is Julie Andrews
The old guys dancing in How Do You Know are the chimney sweeps from Mary Poppins
Ariel’s voice actress is the secretary in Robert’s office
Pocahontas’, Cinderella’s and Aurora voice actresses are also extras
Narissa becoming a hag like in Snow White, and turning into a dragon like maleficent
Falling down the well is like falling down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland
Running around the fields like in sound of music
Obviously the poison apple and Snow White and the forgotten shoe and Cinderella
(And Nancy is played by Idina Menzel who goes on to voice Elsa)
I know I’m missing a bunch, so feel free to add more in the replies
Nancy is called Nancy tremaine (like lady tremaine in Cinderella)
Oooooh, thanks for this!
The happy little working song is a reference to whistle while you work from snow white
True loves kiss also from snow white and later Aurora
Her putting the prince together is like the scene in Cinderella when she's making her dress
You missed the part about why we never see Morgan's mother: she left. So my theory is that Robert met her when he was in law school and he asked her to marry him when he was finishing his degree and when she was pregnant with Morgan, Robert got a job as a divorce lawyer since it was the only one he could afford but he told her that it was only temporary. But 1 year later after Morgan was born, Morgan's mother probably couldn't take it anymore and just left, leaving Robert with divorce papers and her signing him full custody of Morgan. Which would also explain why Morgan doesn't remember her mother.
divorce lawyers make big $$$ tho so i don’t think he would want to leave that job.
@@jiuada
But maybe he thought it was time for a change after he and Giselle got together, plus she'd also supplement their income with her job at the boutique which was previously owned by Nancy.
Morgan’s mom remind me of Bella’s mom who left, but with her daughter.
They cut several scenes from movie but I specifically remember Nancy having expectations for romance and her friend saying she will never meet her prince in shining armor on white horse because it's a fantasy. Well how turntables
Enchanted is seriously underrated but I can’t wait for Disenchanted. Queen Narissa is iconic
where can i watch it ?
@@lizz1124 Disney+
Me too.
is it already out?
This movie is the reason I have high standards for romance. The chemistry these two had was so unbelievable
I just love how she kept on calling Edward Eduardo
😂😂
It's been 14 years and the prince is still the love interest i like the most in this movie. at least now i understand it's because he had more charisma than robert did. the camera loved james marsden.
Prince Edward is my favorite character in this movie. He's so funny! Love him. ♥️
Fun Fact: a lot of the background characters are actually the voices of iconic Disney princesses. The secretary is Ariel (which I think is why Giselle spits out a fish infront of her), the girl on the tv is Belle (You can hear "Beauty and the Beast" playing in the background of that scene), one of Robert's neighbors is the singing voice of Pocahontas, also Mary Ilene Caselotti (the news reporter) is named after Mary Costa, Ilene Woods, and Adriana Caselotti who voiced Aurora, Cinderella, and Snow White. Nancy is also played by Elsa's voice actress but this wasn't intentional since Frozen wasn't in production at the time.
I appreciate how naive and innocent is Edward, he really cares about Giselle, even if she is not with her.
Robert's secretary is Jodie Benson who voiced Ariel in "The Little Mermaid"
I met her today from galaxy con live.
"So close" is one of the best disney song. Periodt.
yes.
EXACTLY
I do love it but based on this so many couples choose it as a wedding song as they misunderstand that it's actually a sad song about a doomed love affair 🙁
If you want to visit a ball there are a lot of annual balls in Europe! In Austria for example is one of the most popular one’s, you pay 20€ and can bring a guest along, everyone gets dressed up in gowns and everything it’s really cool
Literally my dream😩
"these are her only friends and I can respect that" 🤣🤣 thank you for supporting us socially challenged folks that rely on animal companions 🥰
I wonder what Disenchanted would be about? Giselle bought out her own happiness in this dark world (our ones), I think in Disenchantment she'd finally start getting tired of stressful life of real world and will miss Andalasia where characters don't feel these dark miseries.
Wait but didn’t Disney stop making 2d animation?
@@etherealprincess2809 well I heard they're making enchanted as titled Disenchanted. Pretty sure they'll have to make 2d since that's how the last movie was made to give old Disney princess feels, unless they aren't planning to include Andalasia and it's all set in modern world. I think Princess and the frog (2010) was the last 2d movie.
"that's her?" THAT'S ELSA! "why is that something she did?" because that was Ariel!
Julie Andrews narrated the film. Yes, Idina Menzel is a well known actress on Broadway. But most people know her as Elsa from Frozen.
Idina was Elphaba (the wicked witch of the west) in the Broadway show 'Wicked'. She was amazing in it, so was kristin chenoweth's, Glinda. You can see their songs (original cast) on RUclips. She was also Maureen in the movie 'Rent' 2005.
She was also Elizabeth in the Broadway musical If/Then
@@alexl.7668 and the secretary speaks and sings for Ariel in the little mermaid
I'd say the older ones like sleeping beauty and cinderella maybe miss the chemistry building but Beauty and the Beast for example was just such a beautiful romance. Aladdin also was quite good.
The assistant is Jodi Benson!!! The voice of ARIEL!!!!
this movie is an underrated gem **chef’s kiss**
also the fact that you predicted peter pettigrew, your mind!!!
Edward's entrance was good. Narissa's was better.
I agree with you on that one lol 😂
"She's bitter haha" She just saw her fiance make out with another woman who he actually loves. That's heartbreaking, I wouldn't be so happy too, obviously she was disappointed when Giselle didn't wake up at first.
Just saw billy binges’s reaction to enchanted it’s nice to see another person reacting to it as well yuhh
I found Billy Binges through Lakia months ago and I’m soo happy I did!!
So did I
Jodi Benson the voice of Ariel in The Little Mermaid plays Robert’s assistant Sam. Paige O’Hara the voice of Belle in Beauty and the Beast is in the soap opera Edward watches in his motel room flipping through channels. When Edward goes knocking on apartment doors, a woman answers her door with her children. This woman is played by Judy Kuhn who was the singing voice for Pocahontas.
Part of Your World plays in the background in Robert’s office when Giselle visits. The song Beauty and the Beast plays in the background of the soap opera Paige O’Hara is in.
There was talks to make Giselle an actual Disney Princess but Amy didn't want to sell the rights of her face to Disney
i thought it was bc they’d have to pay amy adams so much money to use her face for merchandise etc.
@@reigningastrid339 it's one in the same. They tried getting her to sell the rights to her facial structure as a way to merchandise the character of Giselle. She said no because she wouldn't get any profits from it
Good on Miss Adams
I remember watching Frozen thinking "They're doing Enchanted again? But it's only been six years!"
You can't tell me the creator for once upon a time didn't watch this movie and get inspired
These movies are the reason I'm single
“Disney sells dreams” yeah, they definitely do 😑
They are making the film set for enchanted 2 in Ireland rn! :))
Oh really… exciting 😊
NO WAYYYY omgosh my childhood!!!!
Yeah, but I'm not really into it enough to be that interested in seeing a non-theatrical straight to small screen sequel.
I still can’t believe Prince Edward is Corny Collins
The original voice actress for Ariel was in here as well Jodie Benson. Another thing I would like to add is that this movie was loosely based off the ballet Gisselle (a tragedy) with all the disney princesses mixed. They had some parts there like the two lovers the engaged prince pretending he's a peasant and the peasant who both seek her hand.
“If he was a human he’d be Peter Pettigrew” and you knew you had that spot on
This is Cinderella Snow White tangled and once a upon a time
And sleeping beauty
And many others.
Mary Poppins, Tarzan, Lady and The Tramp, Aladdin, The Princess Bride, The Sound Of Music etc.
I see you with the “Jesus over everything” and the bible verse, I love it 😎 also this movie is so nostalgic to me ahh subscribed :):)
Facts💯💯💯 subscribed.
Y'know I never really gave it a lot of thought as a kid, but as an adult Giselle really is acting like a special level of crazy. Like if I saw her spit a fish into a cup and make direct eye contact with me... girl
My favorite scene from this movie was when the prince, got ran over by a bunch of cyclist while singing. I wondering if you were ever going to commentate on this film, so glad you did I was going through a rough time.
Julie Andrews was the narrator, oh and the assistant was Jodi Benson the voice of Ariel from The Little Mermaid and I believe Cinderella, Aurora, and Pocohantas' voice actresses played as extras in this movie as well
I watched Enchanted for the first time yesterday and it's a classic. A beautiful princess from a animated fantasy world finds himself in the real world and falls in love with a cynical divorce lawyer.
Honestly my favorite characters among them all is the chipmunk and the daughter. 🤣🤣
Huh huh Nathaniel🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can't wait for the Sequel to Enchanted! Is gonna be called Disenchanted
Ooo makes me think they all gonna be trapped in fairy tale animated world
I sent in an application to be an extra in it (cause it’s being filmed about an hour from me), but they never got back to me 😔
@@samkelly4132 bummer
NO WAIT 😭😭😭😭😭
Yes
YAS GIRL I LOVE THIS MOVIEE
The prince and the black haired girl is kinda my favorite end too. I love the scene where they were running and holding hands together before they go in the cartoon world.
This movie is underrated Is a amazing movie and the characters too.I’m so happy they made a new movie😊
I love that Nancy truly is a good step-mum (or would be, if they did get married). Neither she nor Edward were bad people in any way. Nancy didn't hesitate to let Robert kiss Giselle, because at the end of the day, another person's life was more important than her own feelings about losing him. I love that Giselle was from the fairytale world but wanted/needed something real (at least more real), while Nancy's from the real world but wanted a fairytale, and they both got their happy ending. All four of them did. I love that :)
This movie has a humungous place in my heart!! When I was a little girl, my dad bought me the movie and I immediately fell in love with it! It instantly became one of my top three Disney flims of all time and I’m super happy that you watched it!! Enjoyed the video! 😊😊😊❤️❤️❤️❤️
4:10 That's was first thing that came to my mind, especially after "place where is no happily ever after", because that is basically what Regina said about Storybrooke!
p.s. it's always nice to hear OUaT references))
“Have we seen that done before? The Evil Queen has the son?”
Me: OUAT flashbacks
i LOVE enchanted with all my heart. i had a pure happiness when watching this the first time, 10 years later i teared up just watching a scene cause i remember how fun and happy i was watching this when i was a kid.
What a hilarious and Amazingly underrated movie!!!! Yess Lakia!! I love when Lakia posts a new video
I love Lakia so much ❤️❤️❤️ she seems like the sweetest person in the world
"we finish each other's sandwiches" LMAOOOOO
The part where ole dude sings “so close but yet so far” part always gets me
9:12 Watching this review as an adult made me realize that Elsa was in a Disney movie WAYYYYY before Frozen. And she didn't sing any numbers. Sinful!
I love this movie and I really want Disney to put it on Disney Plus!
The sequel is releasing straight to Disney+. I can’t imagine that they wouldn’t put this one on Disney+ before or when Disenchanted on Disney+.
The only thing disappointing about this movie is that it isn‘t on Disney plus.
Honestly, it‘s my absolute favorite Disney movie
I know right.. I had to rent it to watch it lol
What the?!😅
I think it is now
It is now. I went to watch this movie on Disney+ yesterday.
It's on Disney+
I completely forgot about this movie!! And you should react to X-Men 2000
Omg yesssss
You should totally watch "Promising Young Women" also I love you and your videos💖
Enchanted is based on all of them combined
I looove song "So close" from this movie. Chills every time. 26:18 this is literally the only weak point of this movie when they're cramming some reversed trope down our throat with poor cgi. :P
Julie Andrews was the narrator in the beginning and end of the movie.
I'm waiting for this movie to be on Disney+.
Bruh same..
You should do The Road to El Dorado!
You should watch Sleeping Beauty! People say it’s boring but I love it!
Same
This is one if my favorite underrated disney movies
Your reaction to this was so wholesome and funny!! This is one of the most underrated disney movies out there.
Idina Menzel is a broadway legend! She played Elphaba in the original version of Wicked on broadway.
I'm sure the comments will point most of them out but you should look up all the fun facts for this movie there's all kinds of easter eggs and references and stuff.
I just realized that in the scene in the ballroom, there is a part where they show a chandelier, isn't that from 'Beauty and the beast'.
Fun fact! The old guys with the flowers in the number "how does she know?" Are dancers from Mary Poppins "Steppy Time."
I used to watch this so much 😭
I cracked when you said oh a hairy chest 😂😂😂😂
this movie is so underrated, I am so happy I got the notification you'll be reacting to it!!:D
"My prince is cleanly shaven" I had no reason to laugh this hard 🤣🤣
Fun fact: the secretary is the voice actress who played Ariel in The Little Mermaid
This definitely has Snow White vibes while the sequel has Cinderella vibes.
Suggestion : Return to Oz !(Disney’s version)If you haven’t seen it!
I think I've watched this movie before and it really is creative with her going to the real world and actually finding her true love. I'm a new subscriber of you Lakia and I loved this video!
Thank you
@@LakiaJaiTV Your welcome & I sent you an email! lol
4:52 Easter egg: At the top right, there's a "Wicked" billboard, paying homage to Idina Menzel being Elphaba
6:54 On Morgan's dresser, there is an American Girl doll
20:55 In the center of Morgan's mantle, there is a small Princess Belle figurine in her yellow gown
21:55 At the right, there's a billboard for "Rent," another musical Idina is famous for
The reason why Sam was disgusted when Giselle spit out the fish was because she's Ariel
There’s a few cameos.
Ariel as the Secretary
Belle as the Girl on TV
Pocahontas as the Taken Woman
8:20 - same girl. I would love for Disney to show a prince doing the house chores like cleaning for once.
Everyone that reacts to this wants her to chase down the crown theif and then there's me wondering if that dress and petticoat weigh any less than 50 pounds 😂
Nancy went on to be Elsa. I can't wait for Enchanted 2 which has been titled Disenchanted
I’ve always loved ENCHANTED and it makes me SO MAD that it’s not on Disney +
I LOVE THIS MOVIE
This movie was my childhood along with GamePlan 🙏 now that's a good movie as well imo
Julie Andrews was the Narraitor in the background, like when you hear "and they all live happily ever after" that's julie andrews
11:48 She did that because the woman who watched her was the voice of The Little Mermaid, so it was a nod to her fish side.
When you mentioned OUAT my heart, yes girl 😭❤️ I missed that show so much
"Y'all picked up a stray" 😄
They’re making a sequel!!!
You really should watch Wolfwalkers if you're taking requests.
Your inputs to the movies you react to makes them so much better than they already are
I was wondering if you would ever make a video watching this. Awesome!
That part with the “I don’t want you to miss this ending” I’ve heard that but I don’t know where or when
i always get "Enchanted" mixed up with "Ella Enchanted"
