- We are Watching Into the Woods today and it is wild. I've seen this movie before and don't remember it being this chaotic and good. Literally, almost the entire cast died like WTF to that.
This is not my First time watching Into the woods but it's been so long I didn't remember a thing from the movie. Anyways excuse my sickly voice In this video we had to do what we had to do. So yea please enjoy my Into the Woods reaction and have a blessed day.

Meryl Streep is a boss in everything she is in. She steals every scene.
So the evil step-sister actress, Lucy Punch, said that as a child she always wanted to be the evil step-sister to the princess at princess-themed b-day parties. She really likes being Cinderella's/Cinderella-equivalent's evil step-sister. She'd done like 4 or 5 appearances I believe.

Honestly yes. I never really thought of something like this but to see someone enjoying something like this is cool even if the characters aren't. I'm just glad shes actually loving her roles

A really good adaptation to show the original fairy tales instead of the Disney version! One of my favorite musical films. Seeing James skinny back does throw me off a bit lol 😂 Flynn is actually royalty they said it in the tv show

Spoilers!! But that's one of the reasons why you need to watch Tangled the Series!!! The lead up to the reveal that he's royalty is absolutely thrilling, not to mention the rest of the world/character building and the original songs throughout the show are darling! I love the opening Wind In My Hair is just -

She did watch Wandavision and got videos out consistently in time while episodes were still airing each week, I know she has videos already in progress rn but in the future myself and I'm sure others would love to see her reaction☺️
I used to love this movie, but after I watched the original musical it was based off of, I realize how watered down this is.
I highly recommend the stage version of Into the Woods. The performances are so good and the story is even better with more jokes and more drama. Plus it has Bernadette Peters who was the voice actor for Sophie in Anastasia. And Joanna Gleason performing her Tony Award Winning role.
Yes the stage play is on RUclips as well, I watched it in school it was so good

This movie was so good. Cast was on point, the songs were fire and the morals like the witches can be right giants can be good type stuff was *chefs kiss*
i'm just glad the wolf costume wasn't as anatomically correct as the original show
A lot of people have a lot of opinions on this movie because the old stage version was so good, but the one thing I see most agree on is that Meryl Streep absolutely nailed it. She understood the assignment and stole the show.
Also "The birds out here snitchin'" made me spit my drink out LMAO
One of my favorite parts was always right after when Red Ridinghood says "You can talk to birds?". 🤣🤣🤣
Then you should watch Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007 film/musical) by Tim Burton. The film stars Johnny Depp as the title character and Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Lovett.

I went into the movie blind and actually jumped when they started singing. It was so good though

Omg yay!! This was my senior year musical. I was the wolf🥰 I had to wear the suit just like the movie, I died, take all that makeup change into like a towns person, change again and put the makeup back on for the final lol.

This movie is dark as hell lol. I remember we did this show in theater and it was really hard to do.
Anyway, I would recommend watching El Dorado, another DreamWorks underrated movie that is pure gold

I did lights and sound for this on stage and it was amazing. I love the whole idea of a fairy tale mashup. This is Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel all in one. It took a ton of talent(from the actors, anyway) but it was my favorite show I've ever worked on.
Honestly, the little boy is always my favorite child actor in these musicals
And I'm so glad you're learning of the wonders of *Meryl* *Streep* - actor extraordinaire. She's in so many amazing movies, always giving diamond-class performances. I hope you eventually get around to more Streep-love with SILKWOOD (1983), DEATH BECOMES HER (1992), MAMMA MIA! (2008), MARY POPPINS RETURNS (2018) and LITTLE WOMEN (2019).

It was so weird for me to hear you say "I only saw this movie for Johnny Depp," because I am a huge Broadway fan and I was waiting with bated breath for this movie and saw it at the night premiere, lol. I was literally so excited; I followed the casting news and all that.
I feel bad for people who just watched for Johnny Depp since he had a very small role as the Wolf and then he's not even in the movie after his character dies.

In the stage version, the same actor plays the wolf and Cinderella’s prince. The movie was the only version that had different actors playing them

All these actors did an amazing job in this movie.
The Broadway version is free on RUclips and it's also so good. It stars Bernadette Peter's who is my queen
I know a lot of people say the Broadway ver is better and while I agree movies do what they can. I think for what put in and where able to accomplish it was well done and the songs are still amazingly performed. I still think it’s a fun and unique adaptation that I appreciate.
They did a great job with this movie, but they cut out a lot from the stage version. That's probably one of the reasons. They slowed down "Your Fault", I liked it better when they sung it fast. And they cut the reprise of "Agony". I loved that one.
You can watch the stage version with Bernadette Peters as the witch on RUclips. I have it on DVD. Love it.
@@Alexeya13 yeah I mean the movie was already pretty long, and so of course they likely had to cut things & change songs to make them fit better with the adaption. Same with scene changes and actions to what happened to character, however, all of this aligns with mediums and adaptation theory. Certain mediums like film can only do so much compared to live theatre, and vise versa theatre can only do so much compared to film.
I think they did a nice job with the musical and I really enjoy it as it's own thing as well.
This is my favorite review of this movie. Period.

So one of the reasons this musical might seem like an epilogue after they all their happily ever after is just how the movie lays it out. In the original musical, Stephen sondheim wanted to teach children at the time (when it was released) that not all stories have a happy ending. But not everything is as it seems. "Witches can be right, giants can be good. You decide what's right. You decide what's good"

they made both Flynn and Rapunzel resemble the voice actors that played so they cut her hair like that to resemble the actress that plays her
A trivia Emily blunt who plays the bakers wife was actually heavily pregnant the entire shoot. The costume designer made her dress to look like she wasn't pregnant. Both chris pine and James corden were both terrified that they were going to drop Emily and hurt the baby. Emily said in an interview the she called feel Chris's legs shake when he dipped her from being afraid that he might hurt her and her baby.
