It's funny because the Live Action comes off as more historically consistent but the animated version of the character is actually more proactive. I've always been partial to the original -- 1950 Cinderella might be the earliest films to depict emotional and domestic abuse realistically...
I kinda agree with you. The thing is that the two Cinderella are very different because they had a different childhood. The animated Cinderella was still a child when she became a servant, which make her way more resilient and this Traimaine scarier. In the live action, Cinderella is already grown up when she became servant. Maybe she stayed less than one year with her step family. And she was completely caught off guard and tricked by her own kindness which is an interesting dynamic. She still hoped to be loved by her step family. Not the animated Cinderella. Or maybe unconsciously ... Both film depict family abuse but in a different way and angle
@@delireent.3960 Thanks -- and since writing this I've since thought of films that came earlier like Gaslight and Rebecca that also touched on domestic or psychological abuse, but both of those films were gothic horror and variations on the Bluebeard story of unsuspecting women falling in love, marrying and then being terrorized, whereas Cinderella was a child and most of the abuse she experienced is implied offscreen, so as when we see her as an adult she's compartmentalized most of it so that she comes off as relatively normal, she's quick witted and sarcastic with the mice and Lucifer and relatively stoic around the stepsisters but retreats into a more reserved persona when confronted by Lady Tremaine herself. The way the animators portrayed her as desiring the approval of her step family when she comes downstairs in the new dress but pulling back in terror as her stepmother advances towards her, likely triggered into remembering past abuse, is just so expertly done and subtle as opposed to anything being outright stated
Fun fact: Despite Disney's Cinderella (both Original and Live action) being mostly based on the Charles Perrault's version, there are some subtle elements from the Brothers Grimm's version, like how Live action Ella asked her father for a tree branch when he returns, which in the Brother Grimm's version she used the branch to plant a tree in her mother's grave, watered it with only her tears, until it grew into a magical tree that was basically similar to the fairy godmother.
I thought Cinderella had a more assertive personality in the original one, and I liked the music, the mice and the scariness of Lady Tremaine in the animated film. However, the live-action remake did a MUCH better job developing Cinderella's relationship with the prince. So ultimately, I think they about even each other out.
I agree so hard with this! Cinderella fought in the animated one while in the live action she kinda just said "welp that's life lemme sing a lil song" both were good though. I really like the development between the prince and Cinderella in the live action!
Tbh I don't care about her relationship with the prince not being on screen in the original because it's HER story, it's not a romance about THEM, he isn't the point. He never was.
@@LangkeeLongkee yeah the story was about her escaping her abusers. Prince was just a means to an end. And i loved that she fought and got out with the help of the mice, cause you often do need support to get out of those situations but also you need to want to leave. But the live action movies seem to all forget what the princesses were actually about and focus too much on "fixing" the relationships with the princes lol
@@LangkeeLongkee yeah like I do like the addition of it but also why take away some of the aspects that make the princesses them ya know? I like the prince in the live action. He's more his own character. But I feel like the change in Cinderellas character downgraded her. Like making her lose her father when she's pretty much grown (by the times standard) or even having her friend give her a way to leave. Making her reason to stay the house that was her dad's only for her to leave at the end anyways lol
What? That piece of garbage version with Camilla Cabello? You've got to be joking. That was so painful to watch and it's two hours of my life I'll never get back.
There was 2 things I liked about the live action, 1. I liked how the movie didn't give so much screen time to Gus and Jack and centered more into giving Cinderella more screentime and give other characters more personality 2. I also loved how they didn't make the "ugly" stepsisters actually ugly. Like they actually look kind of pretty, they just overdress, and they do seem less cruel, like they are open to have conversations with Cinderella
@@Kr1sTay NGL, Maleficent had me frustrated. Making Stefan a villain and reducing the importance of the fairies and Phillip was disappointing. Plus they didn't give more characterization to Aurora. I would've loved a "Sleeping Beauty" remake that took a page out of TLOZ's book.
Agreed! I remember when this movie came out Vogue did a whole shoot with Cate & co. in couture looks based on the film. It was gorgeous, and she was clearly having a lot of fun.
fun fact: idk if anyone has mentioned this but the sequence where cinderella's dress get's transformed (8:37) is famous for being walt disney's absolute favorite piece of animation :)
“My Queen” is to say she is more than just a plain country girl to him, she is everything to him, she is his queen. It elevates her. “My Kit” is to remove his kingly status, she doesn’t want him for being king but bring her Kit. It devalues his most valuable asset and promotes his personality. It’s actually quite a cute bit of sweet dialogue.
Lily James as Cinderella is just perfect casting as well as Richard Madden, Cate Blanchett. Lily and Richard on and off screen's chemistry is another level (i love that they are close friends still now) Cinderella is The best Disney Live Action film imo! 💙
Cinderella is one of the only Live action remakes that deserved to be made. The original Cinderella is simple, not alot goes on and most of the time is spent on mouse shenanigans. The live action expanded on Cinderella, Lady Tremaine, the stepsisters, and Prince Charming and his relationship with Cinderella. Even Cinderella’s father gets shed some light on!!!
Cinderalla is loosely based on a german fairytale called "Aschenputtel". That story includes her sleeping next to the hearth and that´s where her name comes from. Really enjoyed the reaction💛
Not really. I remember Cinderella being written by Charles Perrault and then readapted by the brother Grimms. It was supposed to be based on the story of Princess Rudolphis
There's actually a book called "Cinder and Glass" where Cinderella actually falls for the princes brother haha it's a really good book! Definitely recommend!
Cinderella will always have a special place in my heart. It was basically the only one I could watch when I was small because the step mother was the only villain that didn't scare me. So I grew up loving the original and then the live action made my love for the story grow. For me, this is the best disney live action remake made by far
The only Disney remake that’s just as phenomenal (if not moreso) than the original animation. I still can’t wrap my head around how Disney could make a live action as beautiful and heart warming as this, and then turn around and make the Lion King LA.
I don’t agree with it being great and even less that it was better than the original. It has so many faults. For example, her step mother and step sisters coming to her life when she was already “old” doesn’t make sense. Cinderella was tortured for years (since she was a little kid) that’s one of the reasons she feared her stepmother so much and why she wouldn’t do anything different than what she said. Also, she isn’t supposed to have any friends outside of her castle that’s why her best friends were the animals specifically the mice and why she makes the mice clothes.. she’s lonely and never gets to leave the castle hence why she was so excited to be invited to the ball. Also I don’t like that the reason why she’s nice and submissive to her stepmom is mainly because she made a promise to her mother to be kind… the whole point and message of Cinderella was that she was just naturally kind. No matter how hard life was she was never transformed by all the evil she experienced even as a literal child, she never stopped being kind, that is what made Cinderella so special. And there is soo many more errors with the life action Cinderella but I know this is already long enough😂 Sorry I know that was long
See this is what we wanted in the little Mermaid and the other live action movies. Pay homage to the animated counterparts, add new things that will contribute to the story without bashing it because of bad faith criticism, and of course beautiful costuming, and vibrant colors.
@@unclewiley1986 yes and I can honestly say it wasn't that bad of a movie It's pretty good. There were some changes I wasn't a big fan of cause it didn't go anywhere in the story but other than that it was a fun movie to watch. Halle is definitely the highlight and carried this film. I give it between a C+/B-
I love both these versions of Cinderella. But Drew Barrymore’s version IS the superior one. It’s called Ever After and Disney also owns that version too.
both the animated and live action are so infinitely special to me, cinderella got me through such difficult painful times and she’s always been my favorite princess (along with tiana and merida, but Ella has been my number one since I started existing basically lol)!! and you’re so right about the story being similar to King David’s story, that makes me love Ella even more 🥺 she’s so important to me
IMO, Cinderella is one of the best, if not my favorite, lvie action remake. It kept the magic, gave character depth to the prince and Cinderella, and just has a lovely beauty in it's simplicity. 😊
The stepmother attends the ball because the stepsisters need a governess, and the family can't afford one. If those two dingbats went alone, they would shame the Tremaine name forever, and the Lady of the house simply *can't* abide that!
both of these movies make me feel so nostalgic. I used to watch the animated version all the time as a kid (not as much as sleeping beauty tho- I watched it again a couple months ago and my mum actually went "oh GOD, this again???" bc apparently I would watchit on repeat every day after school 😭), and I watched the 2015 one w my whole family when I was a teenager so I can't choose between them. what always throws me off ab the animated version though is at the part where she runs away, bc there was some sort of glitch w the videotape that I had, when the prince chases her, it went all staticcy for a minute until cinderellas running down the stairs so the first time I saw the movie w no glitches and all the girls swarmed the prince so he got slowed down, I was just like "wtf is this, this wasn't in the movie???" 😅
I like the live action but I HATE that Cinderella is an adult when the step mother comes in. Cinderella experiences YEARS of abuse from her step family since she was a little kid. So it made a lot more sense that she was so subservient to them. In the remake she just kinda… does whatever they say for no reason. She has friends in the remake she can ride horses and leave the house. She has no reason to stay there vs the Original Cinderella was basically a prisoner
And where whould she turn her head to? That's literally her house and the last remaining thing that reminds her of her parents! This is literally just another blaming on the victim of domestic abuse, smh.
@@keetard no I get that I’m just saying she has way more options of support in the remake and has less of a reason to follow the will of the stepmother as she’s already a full grown adult with her own agency. Vs in the original she has 0 support or means of escape outside of her dreams. Just the simple change of keeping the original timeline I think would have driven home the point of her struggle a bit more.
@@keetardit's not about blaming her. She was grown meaning she had assets. Her father would have had things left for her, she had means. Original Ella had NOTHING, not even the ability to go outside for anything other than errands.
You now HAVE to watch the Brandi Cinderella and Ever After with Drew Barrymore! Those are the best ones in my opinion! Love these side by side reactions!
I think Cinderella’s belief and dream in the first movie was just that something would pay off for her humility and patience or something like that. I think she was holding out for good karma, that something-like the ball-would come along and give her some joy and peace and a break from the pain of living with people who despise you. After her step-sisters trashed her outfit and her step-mother let them do it and just left her alone, I think that was the most isolated and alone Cinderella had ever felt. She really felt like she couldn’t believe in better days anymore. Luckily, this is a fairytale, and she did get that magical opportunity after all!
26:05 the way they design and did this. Any movie disney princess reboot did that beautiful, magical, safisticated detailed elements. This is the best thing in this movie. It makes me believe in Disney
I love the Rogers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella. I grew up with an older version of it, but the Brandy one is very good, too! I remember it being really colorful, pretty, and fun.
@@livelovepunkie It is! I love how they added in “The Sweetest Sounds” from No Strings as a way for Cinderella to express her desire for simple human kindness. Man, I think it’s time for a re-watch!
I love both Cinderella movies. I have so many great memories growing up watching Disney’s animated Cinderella with my cousins at my grandparents house. The stepmother scared me so so much when I was little. I literally hid behind a pillow 😂. Also love her working outfit & her mums pink dress. I remember pretending to be Cinderella after I watch it every time. I love how they showed a bit more of here childhood in the beginning of the live action. And the scenery and set designs are amazing. Love Cinderella’s blue and pink dress! Everyone they casted played their roles perfectly! Definitely think the stepmother was slowly poisoning Ella’s dad. Love your videos! You do an amazing job!
Just realized Eleanor Audley voiced both the Evil Stepmother in Cinderella and Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty If you want a story about the female main character ending up with the brother or best friend instead, that is definitely a romance book trope 😆
11:46 if you want a story like that, i recommend "into the woods". There's the full broadway performance by the original cast on for free youtube but there's also a movie. The difference between the two is that the original starts off light-hearted and hopefully but becomes serious in the second act while the movie tries to be serious throughout
The live-action was visually so stunning it really could have had something there if they hadn't complETELY KILLED CINDERELLA'S PERSONALITY!!! In the animated version, she's kind but she's frustrated, she doesn't like the way they treat her but you can really feel how she has nowhere else to go, they've been building this abuse since she was a child. In the live-action, her dad dies when she's already grown up, and she has friends who want to get her out, but no she couldn't possibly leave (until she does without a second thought?!?). She just keeps passively repeating that have courage and be kind line like her head is constantly in the clouds and everything is rainbows and sunshine. Also, feel like so many people forget that cartoon Cindy went to the ball to have a good time not to get a man, she didn't care about the prince and didn't even realize who he was, girl just wanted a fun night out for once.
Not to much on Miss Live Action Cindy!!! Ain't a damn thing wrong about wanting to link up with the cute boy at a party. Especially when said boy threw that party for her and was trying to disguise it as agreeing with his daddy's foolishness. She is not the goofy one in this scenario. Plus she did voice her frustrations. She told the step mother, " I stayed trying to go high when you go low, but you just nasty boots. What is your beef with me?" That was a whole scene in the movie. She really wanted this to work because she lost everybody in her life, plus she didn't want to give up her family home to those gremlins. It was the her last connection to her parents. Obviously it would have been hard to let it go. Also I don't think she considered leaving. Maybe you are thinking of a another Cinderella movie. If I remember correctly, she was ready to reveal herself, her and her step momma went back and forth and then step momma locked her ass up. And she stays locked up until the whole reveal scene. But even so, idk that's what victims of abuse do. Plus we can't ignore the patriarchy of it all. Being a single woman with no family don't exactly have the best outcomes. If you aren't careful, that's how you end up in a brothel.
Exactly, in the animated Cinderella, "a dream is a wish your heart makes" was her hope, dreaming for an escape from her shitty life just for a night. The live-action version made Cinderella kind of a doormat :( they took away her spunk, sassiness n personality. When she was locked in the tower, in the live-action she cried for a second and then went oh well singing "lavender's blue" until someone happened to hear her. I don't need to hear "have courage and be kind" 20 times to remember the message, just show me! At least in the cartoon version she had a hand in saving herself (remembering to call for Bruno so the mice could get the keys). She was resilient and proactive (how was she supposed to escape with no knowledge of how the outside world works since she was trapped with her stepmother since childhood?). Although the message wasn't explicitly mentioned, that kind of quite strength was something I admired growing up. The live-action was still visually stunning and well-casted but omg the disappointment of how they nuked her character into complacency makes me sad :""""
@@birdiewolf3497 Exactly and there are deleted scenes that you can find here on YT where Ella was struggling idk why it’s not in the movie but they should’ve kept it so the message of the movie could make more sense. I still love the movie tho is my top best live action ever ✨
same. people were bashing animated cinderella "boring" personality which imo i thought she always had one. the live action was devoid of any personality. it was as if she was just representing an ideal, not a person. animated>live action although the dresses were absolutley lovely.
Well we don't exactly know when the father died, and remember the step mother and her daughters were there BEFORE the dad died. The father was gone a lot as well. While the step mother were gambling or whatever.Or the time between that and when the letter came to announce a ball.
1:22 A young woman with no money of her own (if it's been spent), with no other relatives that we know of, even back then servants needed a reference or recommendation of some kind so if she runs off she'll have no word of recommendation to get herself a job anywhere else - it could also be a case of she stays because she has no where else to go. And, as they basically put it in both 'Ever After' and in the 2015 'Cinderella' movie "this is my home, it was my home before she even married my father, why should I be the one to leave?"
I dont understand why people think that Cinderella is a "gold digger", like how?? Reminder that she wanted to go to the Ball not because she wanted to see the Prince, but because she hasn't even been there, In fact she doesn't even KNOW who the Prince is at 10:21 And you gotta give Cinderella some credit, she made it through the abuse and humiliation she went through while growing, why on earth are People calling her a "gold digger"?? If we’re gonna go down the list, PLEASE make time to watch Cinderella 3: A Twist In Time! It’s one of the best, if not THE BEST Disney animated sequel! It’s my fav out of all of them and the story is wild and fun! 🥹✨The OG is classic though and I LOVED the live action so much. P.S. Missed you mamasss! So happy you’ve uploaded! 🖤
I love them both ❤️❤️❤️ The first is so nostalgic and an absolute classic! The hand drawn animation is lovely and it’s so magical. But the live action did such an amazing job at building onto the original story and making it deeper. I love how they were able to make a strong female character that wasn’t a tomboy who likes to punch stuff (I like those characters too but sometimes those are the only strong females I see). The casting was amazing and it was it’s on level of fantastical! It makes me cry whenever I watch it
"There's no way you can mess up a Cinderella story." Hmmm...Watch the 2021 Camila Cabello Cinderella movie.😬 All I'll say is that it's the only Cinderella story where I like the step family and don't really like Cinderella 😂 These movies however are beautiful! I pretty much love all the Cinderella adaptions except the 2021 movie.
I absolutely ADORE the live action more though the animated one will always be a classic. Out of all the Disney remakes, this is my top 1 up to this day and to think I had seen it all and they're not able to keep up the magic of "Cinderella" to the others. If "The Little Mermaid" will be good, it might come second.
The live-action succeeded because it improved upon the source material (giving the prince more development and Cinderella more screentime) while respecting the original--plus having a large gap between the two films being released.
11:50 There are two Cinderella sequels but there's no divorce. One is about the married life of Cinderella and her helping Anastasia with her crush, and the last one is about time travel if I'm not wrong.
When I was little and I needed some positive reinforcement, my mom and my aunties would sing to me, "You can do it, you can do it, you can do it..(my name).." like the mice sing in "Cinderella." I've always loved that song ("The Work Song/Cinderelly").
This is one of my favorite disney live action ever. I really love that they gave the prince substance, and not just a nameless prince Cinderella fell inlove with like on the animation. I also love every character especially the stepmom.
I really like the animated one. The prince definitely thought Cinderella was beautiful, and when they spent the night together, I’m sure they found each other interesting. But I think he really fell for her when he found out she didn’t realize he was the prince. That’s makes sense, she was humble and didn’t think the prince would notice little old her. She liked him for who he was, and he didn’t mind marrying her even when it was revealed that she was a servant. Plus, they do raise the question about the slipper fitting more than one girl, and the king (my favorite character) was like THAT’S HIS PROBLEM!!
The first Cinderella being in 1950, the sequel being in 2002 and the third (A Twist In Time) being in 2007 is crazy It took you 52 years to come up with an okay follow up and 5 (/57) to actually get it right
11:45 you might like Into the Woods, the movie doesn't get into it as much but the official recording of the original stage production is up on youtube
11:58 there’s a musical where do show that. it’s into the woods, not the movie on but the actual broadway musical. the whole thing is filmed and you can find it. but it’s really good and funny
In the brother's grim version the step sisters mutilated their feet to fit the shoe. I had a beautiful illustrated version of this book the art was so wispy and blue, all the pages were blue or had blue it was so pretty. They mentioned in the original story she had to clean the fireplace, but had no time to clean herself which is where "Cinder" came from added to her name so pretty close.
Ever since I was little I always assumed that the reason why Cinderella's glass slipper doesn't change back is because she didn't have the other one also I always assumed that the reason why her but was the only one to fit in the glass slippers because she has a high arch and the slipper was made to fit her specifically and the reason why it fell off was because while she's dancing her feet was sweating considering that glass doesn't breathe
What I didnt like in the live action one is that the stepmother (at least in my opinion) wasnt as intimidating. Also i found it unnessesary to give or try to give her some kind of reasoning to be that cruel to a literal child. Otherwise I did like the live action but the animated one will always be the best.
I think the live action tried to made us understand Lady Tremaine and humanize her, which kinda works cuz we're not as scared as what she is in the original version. And honestly, both are iconic and I love how Cate Blanchett serving b!+ch, while the original is pure villain realness.
I love this so much. Watching you watch Disney movies (that I grew up with) for the first time was so fun. It really made me smile. I’m gonna go binge all your other Disney movie videos now! ☺️🏰✨

🤣😂😂😂 that's.... actually kinda true tho...
My all time favorite movie is the 2015 Live Action Cinderella. God it was just so well done and magical with such a beautiful message!
Yes the magic was very well done 👏🏾👏🏾
Definitely the best live action Disney movie ever to be made.
What? That piece of garbage version with Camilla Cabello? You've got to be joking. That was so painful to watch and it's two hours of my life I'll never get back.
@@coolboss999 Nope, try Ever After. Much better.
@RedRoseSeptember22 They said DISNEY. Learn to read. Lmao and even then, they can still say is the best. Like, live your own life. Weirdo.
There was 2 things I liked about the live action,
1. I liked how the movie didn't give so much screen time to Gus and Jack and centered more into giving Cinderella more screentime and give other characters more personality
2. I also loved how they didn't make the "ugly" stepsisters actually ugly. Like they actually look kind of pretty, they just overdress, and they do seem less cruel, like they are open to have conversations with Cinderella
I love the live action so much. The only one that did justice to the animated alongside Maleficent 💕
I’ll have to watch Maleficent now lol❤️
@@LakiaJaiTV Yay! Could you do 1 and 2 in the same video like you did with this? ❤️
One of the only live actions I recognise so far it’s so magical and gets the heart of Disney😢
I loooove cruella but that's more of a prequel so doesn't really count

“The Lord”

Fun little fact: in the original Disney's Cinderella the narrator is voiced by Betty Lou Gerson, the same voice actress for Cruella Deville.
“Oh I wasn’t “ was so uncalled for when she wasn’t grateful like omg Cinderella is a baddie for not saying thank you.
fun fact: idk if anyone has mentioned this but the sequence where cinderella's dress get's transformed (8:37) is famous for being walt disney's absolute favorite piece of animation :)
1:14 They probably gaslighted Cinderella to the point where she thought all of their problems was her fault
Yes. My grandmother used to tell me that Aschenputtel was the one she knew growing from her own grandmother.
There's actually a book called "Cinder and Glass" where Cinderella actually falls for the princes brother haha it's a really good book! Definitely recommend!
It's not one of those dark romances tho right?I hate those type of books.
@@9eishitasharma501 no! I totally understand you tho I don't like those types of books either! This book is pretty PG! I highly recommend it :)
And there is soo many more errors with the life action Cinderella but I know this is already long enough😂
Sorry I know that was long
See this is what we wanted in the little Mermaid and the other live action movies. Pay homage to the animated counterparts, add new things that will contribute to the story without bashing it because of bad faith criticism, and of course beautiful costuming, and vibrant colors.
Have you seen the Little Mermaid live action?
@@unclewiley1986 yes and I can honestly say it wasn't that bad of a movie
It's pretty good.

Yeah I thought Ever After was pretty good too.
Fun Fact: the narrator at the start of the film is Betty Lou Gerson, the original voice actress of Cruella DeVil.
both the animated and live action are so infinitely special to me, cinderella got me through such difficult painful times and she’s always been my favorite princess (along with tiana and merida, but Ella has been my number one since I started existing basically lol)!! and you’re so right about the story being similar to King David’s story, that makes me love Ella even more 🥺 she’s so important to me

I see 🤔
both of these movies make me feel so nostalgic.
I'm a 90s kid so I relate but I'm kind of amazed teenagers in 2015 grew up with VHS tapes lol
Nothing tops Roger & Hammerstein’s Cinderella with Brandy and Whitney Houston in it. That’s my comfort film
I love the Rogers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella. I grew up with an older version of it, but the Brandy one is very good, too! I remember it being really colorful, pretty, and fun.
@@helgmelia84 it’s something about it. I love the song choices. It’s truly top tier
@@livelovepunkie It is! I love how they added in “The Sweetest Sounds” from No Strings as a way for Cinderella to express her desire for simple human kindness. Man, I think it’s time for a re-watch!
12:14 I actually read a book that was like that. It’s a Cinderella retelling called Cinder & Glass by Melissa Dela Cruz :)
26:39 this is breathtaking. The essence of disney. Dreams coming true
Just realized Eleanor Audley voiced both the Evil Stepmother in Cinderella and Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty
If you want a story about the female main character ending up with the brother or best friend instead, that is definitely a romance book trope 😆
Cinderella will forever be my favorite princess. I just loved all her songs and I remember them all by heart. This was an amazing video ❤
11:46 if you want a story like that, i recommend "into the woods".
There's the full broadway performance by the original cast on for free youtube but there's also a movie.
The difference between the two is that the original starts off light-hearted and hopefully but becomes serious in the second act while the movie tries to be serious throughout
I love that movie but the ending throws me off so much
Don't forget "Ever After" with Drew Barrymore. It's sooooooo good.
And super realistic 😊
The live action Cinderella is way underrated, I'm happy you are reviewing it.
I’m so glad you mentioned the third one lmaooo. The prince was arguably the best character in Twist in Time
I dont understand why people think that Cinderella is a "gold digger", like how??
Reminder that she wanted to go to the Ball not because she wanted to see the Prince, but because she hasn't even been there, In fact she doesn't even KNOW who the Prince is at 10:21
And you gotta give Cinderella some credit, she made it through the abuse and humiliation she went through while growing, why on earth are People calling her a "gold digger"?? Just imagine being in her shoes right now

Out of all the Disney remakes, this is my top 1 up to this day and to think I had seen it all and they're not able to keep up the magic of "Cinderella" to the others. If "The Little Mermaid" will be good, it might come second.
Reviews say it's as good as cinderella
12:00 For a Cinderella divorce story line watch Into The Woods! 🖤
The live-action succeeded because it improved upon the source material (giving the prince more development and Cinderella more screentime) while respecting the original--plus having a large gap between the two films being released.
“ HE MET me in these SCruBs” I can’t 😂😂😂😂😂
11:50 There are two Cinderella sequels but there's no divorce. One is about the married life of Cinderella and her helping Anastasia with her crush, and the last one is about time travel if I'm not wrong.
When I was little and I needed some positive reinforcement, my mom and my aunties would sing to me, "You can do it, you can do it, you can do it..(my name).." like the mice sing in "Cinderella." I've always loved that song ("The Work Song/Cinderelly").

The live-action Cinderella truly embodies the essence of the character.
This is one of my favorite disney live action ever. I really love that they gave the prince substance, and not just a nameless prince Cinderella fell inlove with like on the animation. I also love every character especially the stepmom.
I love how you put yourself in the situation of the main character it’s so funny
Cinderella is definitely a Dress History RUclipsr.
prince charming in cinderella 3 is the best thing disney has ever made
I really like the animated one.
"Ever After: A Cinderella Story" starring Drew Barrymore, is the best version of Cinderella.
20:35 It was in the original Grimm’s Tale, if I’m not mistaken.
The first Cinderella being in 1950, the sequel being in 2002 and the third (A Twist In Time) being in 2007 is crazy

11:45 you might like Into the Woods, the movie doesn't get into it as much but the official recording of the original stage production is up on youtube
The 'sleeping next to the fire' was part of the original fairytale. Her actual name is Aschenputtel wich is the german equivilent to Cinderella

"just remember who you are you little"
YOUR FUTURE QUEEN 😂😂😂😂 girl i wish she said that
In the brother's grim version the step sisters mutilated their feet to fit the shoe.
