You'd think she'd be in that evil stepsister mould, right? There's a LOT of sisters like that in fairytales, who see their poorer sister's success, go through the same moves, but are rude and cruel to the people around her and fail. One girl was given even prettier looks and a sweet voice and the chance to marry a king, while the sister was given ugliness that scared the children, a croaky voice that sounded like it was always full, and she was happy to marry a poor cobbler. Luckily, Nancy's from the real world and she can be as nice as the princess, so she gets a happy ending.
Nancy was a serious "up in the air" character before the movie came out, because her last name is Tremaine, as in Lady Tremaine, the stepmother from Cinderella. Nobody knew if she was going to be some kind of heinous bitch or if that was just a misdirection and a tongue-in-cheek reference to the fact that she'd be Morgan's stepmom. The fans waiting for it to come out were all worried that Idina was gonna be some kind of antagonist.
She and Edward were also genuinely happy when Giselle woke up. Even if their relationships were basically over, they felt happy for them. Really wholesome characters.
I also love how this movie isn’t the typical love triangle, with there being an OBVIOUS choice between who’s a jerk and who isn’t, and just making the other guy unlikable. Neither Edward nor Nancy are bad people; Edward’s just a lovable himbo, and Nancy is a realist. And they still ended up finding happiness in each other! THIS is how to do love triangles!

As many times as ive watched and loved this, this is my first time noticing that her dream price is dressed in a deep blue coat with white trimming around the collar. Its an exact match to what Patrick Dempsey is wearing during their dance.
This movie is still underrated Billy, & it definitely has something for everyone. I’ll always have a soft spot for it, as I saw it at an old friend’s house on the day my dad died from terminal cancer (a brain tumour), back in 2008. One scene that really hits closer to home for me as an adult is when Giselle & Robert are at the Italian restaurant & he opens up to her about his wife (& presumably Morgan’s biological mother). In particular, it’s when he simply says “… She left”. Shortly before the pandemic, I was very close to some people who became like family to me. They all left suddenly, without even saying goodbye. I really wanted to hug Robert after that scene, & I’m surprised that he didn’t break down in tears in front of Giselle (at his apartment).
@@daynacooper1163 Thumbelina wasn't a Disney movie. But you probably know this. I feel like they cast Jodi Benson in there because The Little Mermaid was so good. It's also a fairytale from the same author. The problem is, Thumbelina stuck closer to the source material, which made her far less interesting than the active protagonist Disney made out of the mermaid (although to be fair, she was actually a more active protagonist already, so Ariel wasn't a major stretch).
I LOVE THIS FILM SO MUCH AND YOUR REACTIONS ARE PRICELESS IM DEAD you saying “uh oh” when she falls ontop of him i- dont treat her like a margarita STOP I CANT-
If you look back at the beginning of the movie, the statue of the man in giselle's dream matches Robert's outfit at the ball. Giselle was shook during the scene with robert in his bathrobe because she realized in that moment her true love was robert not edward.
Same! I even tried slowing the playback speed and it still came out garbled! He talks faster than Lafayette in Hamilton! That's quite an accomplishment. 🌟

It's set in the UK last month and in NYC last week with Amy dressed in a flowery dress with red kitten heels and a red belt and Patrick wearing a khaki jacket, creamy pants and sneakers. They also had a pink buggy too and Gabriella(Morgan) being annoyed at Giselle when she said Ready For Your Big Adventure
@5:53 the woman is Jodi Benson, a staple in Disney voice acting. Her first role was The Little Mermaid's Ariel. The dad's girlfriend is Idina Menzel, (there's also a Wicked poster in Time's Square. Ha!) who would later voice Frozen's Elsa. @17:15 the woman in the soap opera is Paige O'Hara, the voice of Belle. @15:57 the elderly man dancing in the middle was a background dancer in Mary Poppins. There are little cameos like this sprinkled throughout the film from various Disney people since the film is basically Disney spoofing Disney :D
I believe this Disney story is completely filed with references from other stories, but it’s like if any of the other Disney Princesses came to the real world. So it’s pretty much original. Also this movie existed before Frozen.
Ok at 9:27 I have to say I absolutely lost it at the "oh hell no!" I feel like that every time that part comes on but this is such an awesome movie and can't wait to see u react to more!

I loved this movie so much as a kid. And I'm not surprised to see after all these years of not seeing it, that I lowkey embody Giselle energy. The actress is just so good as well
I can say this is one of my favorite Disney movies. I like how it, in a way, makes fun of and takes from the typical Disney Princess stories. One thing I didn't realize until recently, because I heard it from someone else, was that the mannequin that Giselle makes at the beginning of the movie was Robert, because as you look, it dose look similar to him, especially the blue jacket, which he wears to the ball.
I remember the day my aunt took my sister and I to the movies to watch this. It's just funny, and charming and I love how it subverts Disney's fairy tale trope/formula. Also, me and my sister would sing the line "how does she know that you love her" by the Jamaican guy constantly 😂
i've found true love WITHOUT a kiss yet. We're long distance, met online and then in person, but we're also just shy losers who didn't realize we wanted to be together until after I came back home. We'll kiss eventually when we are able to move in together lol

The neighbor with a bunch of kids, the one that said Edward was "too late", was the voice actress for Pocahontas.
"And they lived happily ever after."
Me: *Excited for the sequel "Disenchanted"*
Billy be like "They kiss like two [insert inanimate object here]"
😂🤣
I wanna know how he is so familiar with how pastries kiss though
Ay… ay… ay…. Mind your business 😂
@@BillyBinges 😇
i shouted at two spatulas!
Billy - "What Disney princess is this based on?"
Me - "yes"
When you're having a terrible week but Billy senses it and comes through. One of my top favorite content creators for a damn reason!!!!!!
Thank you Lindsay ❤️
Same here. I always look forward to these. ❤️
Me too i always look forward to his videos
"Don't treat her like a mind reader" I would LOVE to watch a movie with you. We both talk to the movie 😆
I remember when I was 7 years old & I watched this movie in the theaters with my mom, brother & a few of our good friends. We were so young at the time!! I'm 20 years old now. Gosh, time flies...
“A place where there’s no happily ever afters? Damn that sounds like life”
Yep that’s exactly where’s she’s going😂🤦🏽♀️
"They kiss like:
- Two easy-bake ovens
- two oven mitts
These are so creative, and honestly a big part of why I subscribed. You're so hilarious!
She an original princess.
As many times as ive watched and loved this, this is my first time noticing that her dream price is dressed in a deep blue coat with white trimming around the collar. Its an exact match to what Patrick Dempsey is wearing during their dance.
Yeah it was a foreshadowing of Robert(Patrick Dempsey)being Giselle( Amy Adams) true love
It's not about any particular princess. It's just a play on princess movies in general. It does take elements from the classics though.
16:03 the actual lyrics are "don't treat her like a mind reader" which makes a lot more sense tbh. And it's something I definitely live by.
Nancy's last name is Tremaine, in reference to the evil stepmother from Cinderella
Love this movie and the line in the song is “don’t treat her like a mind reader”
Fun fact: the "telenovela" actors are the voices of Belle and Beast
Well Angela is Paige O Hara, the other guy isn't Robbie Benson.
THIS DISNEY STORY IS EVERY DISNEY STORY!!! its a blend of all of them, simply enchanted
His assistant is Jodie Benson. She voiced Ariel in The Little Mermaid.
And thmbellla
@@daynacooper1163 Thumbelina wasn't a Disney movie. But you probably know this. I feel like they cast Jodi Benson in there because The Little Mermaid was so good. It's also a fairytale from the same author. The problem is, Thumbelina stuck closer to the source material, which made her far less interesting than the active protagonist Disney made out of the mermaid (although to be fair, she was actually a more active protagonist already, so Ariel wasn't a major stretch).
She's also Barbie in the Toy Story movies
“Lips are the only things that touch.” 😂
I LOVE THIS FILM SO MUCH AND YOUR REACTIONS ARE PRICELESS IM DEAD
you saying “uh oh” when she falls ontop of him i-
dont treat her like a margarita STOP I CANT-
I died when Billy added that Silk song when Robert came out in his robe🤣🤣🤣😭 19:15
That’s actually a group called silk😅
SAMEEE
Or Let It Burn by Usher. I'm surprised he didn't have Good Kisser by Usher playing or Let's Get It On by Marvyn Gaye. Haha😂😂😂😂😂🤣
If you look back at the beginning of the movie, the statue of the man in giselle's dream matches Robert's outfit at the ball. Giselle was shook during the scene with robert in his bathrobe because she realized in that moment her true love was robert not edward.
SAY WHAT
Me tryna follow Billy's intro: " gsfjsgsjsgsjghs BABY"
😂😂
Same! I even tried slowing the playback speed and it still came out garbled! He talks faster than Lafayette in Hamilton! That's quite an accomplishment. 🌟
@@BillyBinges It's talent, hahha
The Italian restaurant they were eating at was called Bella Notte, in reference to the song from Lady and the Tramp

X-men, notebook, Superman, westworld… yeah. Poor dude.
*I* wouldn’t reject him
Definitely deserves better, he's absolutely gorgeous 😍
Ikr... He's such an handsome dude but still never gets the girl.
@happy baby forgot about that one...
They’re filming the sequel as we speak, it’s called “disenchanted”
Really??? I’m excited for that!
I hope a good chunk of the movie is 2d
It’s being filmed in Wicklow in Ireland!
it’s being filmed a few minutes away from me!
really? Good news!
OH MY GOD!! ENCHANTEDD! I am so excited for this!! After the first time I watched this, I began thinking it was all in my imagination cause no one I knew had ever watched this😭😭😂
I think I own a copy.
ENCHANTED 2 is starting filming on Monday14th June in a my home town in Ireland in Enniskerry.
The set looks amazing
So can you give us some info? How did the set look like?
26:09 "I don't know what melodramatic means"
BUST OUT LAUGHING SO HARD
#bingers THE HUNGER GAMES!!! ALL 4 OF THEM😁😁 LOVE YA BILLY!!
yesssss
Yaaas 😍
I agree with this!
Yes!!!!
Fun fact: The old men dancers from the "That's How You Know" song are the dancers who played the chimney sweeps in Mary Poppins :)
Love the fact that any old woman in a movie is "my grandma" to Billy
#Bingers
We need you to watch Meet the Robinsons, is horribly underrated
I agree! It’s a brilliant video!
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 one of my faves..he'll cryyy
Yes!!!
up
That movie is too good
#bingers The Parent Trap (this movie is literall amazing (for ALL ages))
agreed
This guy's got the biggest smile on the internet! 😁
I Love This Movie! The ball scene where they dance to the song "So Close" is my favorite scene!
The scene with the old men dancing with flowers were the chimney sweepers in the original Mary Poppins.
In case no one else pointed it out, Nancy is played by Idina Menzel, the voice of Elsa in Frozen. Enchanted references every Disney princess movie.
But...Elsa is from Frozen...and that movie was released a lot of years later from this one😯😯😯
So... there's no any connection before this movie "Enchanted" was released.
Everyone, everyone pointed this out.
frozen didn’t exist back then 💀
I loved this movie so much as a kid. And I'm not surprised to see after all these years of not seeing it, that I lowkey embody Giselle energy. The actress is just so good as well
16:03 "don't treat her like a margarita" had me DYING and for what
When you said “ I had to watch them kiss like two oven mitts” l couldn’t stop laughing 😂
Great reaction as always.
Was there ever a kiss in a movie that you actually approved of? lol
Someone needs to cut together clips of every time you say "They kiss like..." HAHA
^^^ this ^^^
I can say this is one of my favorite Disney movies.
Has no one suggested he watch Heathers yet? He enjoyed Mean Girls. So, why not its big sister?
#bingers the comment above. ⬆️
He hated it
@@djjavonn6777 I figured as much. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i've found true love WITHOUT a kiss yet. We're long distance, met online and then in person, but we're also just shy losers who didn't realize we wanted to be together until after I came back home. We'll kiss eventually when we are able to move in together lol
Since you said that you dont like the idea of animals cleaning.
Fun fact:racoons (the animal that people associate with being dirty and uncleab & rabies) ate one of the only animals that clean their food before they eat it. Theres even a video on youtube of this guy giving a racoon cotton candy and the racoon kept putting it into the river to clean it and it would melt.... And the guy kept doing it lol 😂😂😂😂 so messed up
Wait what!?? 😂 I never knew this!! Sounds super interesting
@@BillyBinges although now there are some scientist that disagree with the reason they are submerging their food into water being to clean it/wash it .... And now believe that there may be a different or even multiple diff reasons..... I just find it interesting either way
