Idk what exactly happened but for some reason the audio levels were really scuffed (there were so many random audio peaks & clicks!!) when I imported this video from Final Cut. I had to cut them all out in RUclips editor cause they were not showing in my editing program and I might have missed some. I hope it’s at least watchable BUT STILL BE WARNED, ESPECIALLY HEADPHONE USERS!!

Nancy and Edward becoming a couple was random, and, honestly, this is what I like about them) Edward is like that, he was looking for true love, discovered that he found the wrong girl and went looking again, willing to not ruin his ex’ love life and to be forever loyal to someone else. And Nancy is an adult, not a naive girl, but she is shown to be extremely tired of her regular life and lacking love and romance, so it would make sense for her to make a conscious decision to go and have a fairy tale love story)
YES! Nancy wanted a fairytale love story and Edward was also looking for true love. They both wanted Andalasia.
Also as unrealistic as it is, there are some rare cases of falling in love right away and it lasts. I’m sure we’ve all heard a couple stories from older couples that have been together for a long time and their stories sound like absolute fairytales
@@vixiestarfire Yeah, but that's more a matter of luck. You have the initial attraction based on looks, maybe find after a night your personalities are compatible, then by chance you just happen to be a great fit for each other. It can happen but I still wouldn't recommend starting a relationship that way. Nevertheless, Nancy clearly saw something she was looking for in Edward, there's a chance its not meant to last but I don't think she cares about that at that moment. She just wants to do something spontaneous, maybe it'll work out, maybe it won't.

When they did Robin Hood, they didn't have the budget. So the just reused the one from earlier movies. Litle John is the same rotoscope as balo
If you look at Robert at the ball he actually looks like the prince figurine from the beginning, down to the outfit.

Though let’s be honest, Amy Adams legitimately should’ve been up for Best Actress for this. It’s one of her best roles.
The telenovela has a bunch of references in one:
The female soap star “Angela” (so named for Angela Lansbury, who voiced Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast) is played by Paige O’Hara, the voice of Belle. “Angela” is arguing with a man named “Jerry” (Jerry Orbach voiced Lumiere) because she’s having an affair with a man named “Ogden” (David Ogden Stiers voiced Cogsworth). This soap opera scene is scored with music from Beauty and the Beast.
Nancy's last name is Tremaine, in reference to the evil stepmother from Cinderella.
This gets even better when you remember she WAS the stepmother in Camille's Cinderella
Robert's last name is Phillip, in reference to Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty

Tangled was still in development when this movie aired, so the Rapunzel play you see in That's How You Know is a nod to that. And the little girl is the director's daughter, I believe.
Nancy is the most wronged character in this movie 🤣 She put up with so much BS and was so nice about everything lol. Everybody played their parts in this movie so well!!! Amy was a perfect Giselle, it's so much fun! "How Do You Know" is an absolute freaking banger!!! Also, I think Robert said "I don't know if we'll make it through today" about Nancy because she just saw him and Giselle in a compromising position that seemed like cheating, lol.

The final, lightning-struck battle is a homage to the battles in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast.

The girl Rachel Covey who plays Robert's daughter Morgan was eight years old (playing a six year old). She reprised her role in the sequel Disenchanted (which was released last fall on Disney+, unfortunately it's not directed by Kevin Lima) in her 20's, playing Morgan as a 16 year old.
I've watched about 10 "Enchanted" youtube movie reactions in the last few days, and this is by far the funniest. I love how you genuinely enjoyed the film and got into the story and romance, but your jokes and editing were cracking me up during my entire morning routine. I needed those laughs very much! The song they dance to at the ball, called So Close, took heavy inspiration from the title song from Beauty and the Beast.
Well, Andalasia is like most fariy tales are set in a middle age to Renaissance period (between 1400 to 1700, before any industralisation took place) so the food musthave consisted mainly of roasted or boiled meat, roasted or boiled fish, gruel, porridge, certain frutis and vegetables, bread, soup etc(and mind that certain foods like fancy dishes were only available to the rich like royalties, people of blue blood and such, it's not like now that anyone can enjoy ice cream or bananas).
One of the old men in the That's How You Know number was a chimney sweep in Mary Poppins.
The gag with the diamonds is actually a joke from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs when Dopey puts a couple of diamonds in front of his eyes, as a funny joke to Doc.
There was a deleted scene of a song between Nancy and Edward, confessing their love. Which gives some more reason of Nancy leaving, she can still visit the real world but her and Edward makes sense since she loves romance and will make a great queen
When you said “let her have a fairytale” well she did that in the 2nd movie and well….it didn’t go as planned 😂😂

Well, Nathaniel IS played by Timothy Spall who played Peter "Wormtail" Pettigrew in the Harry Potter movies. He also voiced Nick in Aardman's (the company behind Wallace & Gromit) Chicken Run.

Great reaction, wise and witty. Yes, Amy is perfect. The supporting cast was brilliant - Timothy Spall, Susan Sarandon, James Corden (also own voice) and many cameos (did you recognise Julie Andrews?). I read that Idina felt flattered at the time to be offered a role based on her acting alone with no singing. I'm sorry to say Disenchanted is as disenchanting as Enchanted was enchanting, despite many of the same cast, the way it usually goes with sequels.

yes there are criteria for princesses to be official Disney Princesses:
-The character must have a central role in an animated Disney/Pixar film (Giselle doesn't count because she was also a live action star and Disney doesn't own Amy Adams likeness)
-The character must be human, or have a humanoid appearance in the cases of Ariel and formerly Tinker Bell (until she became a part of the Disney Fairies franchise)
-The character should not be the star of a sequel (Ariel's daughter is only in the Little Mermaid sequel so she's not an official princess)
-The character must be royal by birth, royal by marriage, or do a heroic deed (which was added specifically so Mulan could be a Disney Princess)
-The character's film should not have been an overwhelming success (Anna and Elsa are part of the Frozen franchise instead of the Disney Princess line) or an underwhelming failure (This explains the absence of Eilonwy from the Black Cauldron and Kida from Atlantis)
-Along with it, the character must have massive appeal and recognition towards viewers and audiences (cuz how else Disney going to make money off them??)
I would say, you can scratch all the above criterias ... if it makes money, Disney is going to change them anyway: Mulan.
(Frozen is not, just because they are much to successful to only just be (ones of) a Disney princess)
@@arnaudgerard1971 You make a good point! This is the list of criteria compiled by other fans based on the line-up of Disney Princess at any given point. And yeah, they have changed several times.
Disney the company just crowns a princess if it will make them money, they can have the character in the parks, and they have enough justification to call them a princess (which basically means the character just needs to be a girl/woman, at this point at least). Tinker Bell was a princess for a while there, for no reason other than Disney wanted her as part of the merchandise and as a live person in the parks.

They were going to have Gizelle to be official disney princess™️, but then they realised they would have to pay the actress for using her likeness, so that didn't happen. :'D Those old men in "how does she know/park song" were actors/dancers in Mary Poppins, I think that's really cute easter egg :3
I always say it would've been better if Robert and Giselle were friends who helped each other get more out of their relationships. Robert would've taught Giselle to make Edward take things slower and develop a deeper relationship, and Robert would've found the beauty in romance and love after losing his first wife.

😄 I'll try to answer the question you posed at 1:51. A sure way to get into an intense argument on social media is to voice an opinion as to exactly what qualifies a character to be an "Official Disney Princess." The three criteria which most Disneyphiles agree on is that the character must be animated (which automatically makes the Princess in this movie a bit "iffy"), must be humanoid (which eliminates Nola), and must be 13 or older, thus eliminating Alice, Wendy, Eilonwy, Vanelope and Lilo (though curiously, not Lilo's sister Nani). The five that everyone agrees have been arbitrarily left out of the club over the last few decades for whatever reasons, are Esmeralda, Megara, Jane, Kida and Raya. I would imagine it just gets down to overcrowding. I also count at least four qualifiers in "Encanto," although I don't think that Luisa would look very good in an evening gown.
🍑 This movie is essentially the opposite of "James And The Giant Peach," which starts out as live action, then becomes animated about 10 minutes into it.

That movie is better than I remember
Just a fair warning if you ever watch the sequel it’s not nearly as good. Idk what it is but to me and my roommate it didn’t have as much charm as the first. Honestly it’s top tier as an original, so you know the sequel won’t be as good.
At the ball, with the dance with someone you did not come with dance, is not too dissimilar from balls and dinner parties back in the Georgian period, when couples that attended together were not allowed to sit next to each other so as to force people to mingle with others and socialize. Has nothing to do with swinging.
This movie has many good moments. Congratulations on how you cut it.
