There was a theory I heard about this movie where Hans is actually a fragment of an enchanted mirror, and every scene he's in he actually begins to reflect the person he's interacting with. 1. Anna: he reflects her personality, like her desire for a fairytale love story. When he smiles after their first encounter, it seems to be one of actual happiness, not of scheming. 2. Elsa: after she shows him the responsibility trait, he starts to show responsibility and begins to take care of the town while the sisters are out. 3. The Duke: it's not until after he interacts with the Duke when he seemingly develops the power-hungry trait that dominates for the rest of the film.
I remember watching this film for the first time in fifth grade in 2014 and looking back at it, it totally upended every cliche about Disney princess movies and subverted expectations in a good way. Pleasantly surprised by the twists and turns and focus away from a prince charming saving the day. It was a breathe of fresh air for Disney and all the songs were great. The law of the kingdom seems to be easily ignored. He then seems to have the authority to along with other people who are from another kingdom, imprison the - still legally crowned queen and nobody questions this.
I personally subscribe to the theory that Hans isn't truly evil but is being manipulated by the troll magic. If they could erase Anna's memories of Elsa's magic, then why couldn't they twist Hans to being self centered and evil? They even state during "fixer upper" to "get the fiance out of the way and the whole thing will be fixed." The trolls are evil, I tell you! Anyway, we all love/hate Let It Go but it was the point in development that fucked up the movie. Can't have a villain song with a positive message.
Considering that Sven was a baby reindeer and they were all wearing fur, it's likely they killed Svens parent/parents, ate them, and made their fur into clothing. Nah. Firstly, you can see traces of him being evil early on in the film. Once you see the betrayal scene and rewatch the film, you would catch it. It fits perfectly. Second, the trolls could not erase/change Hans' mind unless they had him, right in front of them. They cannot manipulate some dude standing literally miles away. There's been no proof of them doing that. Trolls do have magic, sure, but not so powerful. And lastly, we see that Hans reaches the palace around the same time that Kristanna were with the trolls. They did not previously know that Anna (the princess) had met Kristoff and could possibly be together. When Anna was with the trolls, Hans was literally smartly trying to finish her sister off. So it makes the theory even more weird. However the theory is fun, especially when you think that trolls have always had a relationship with those royals. So they might have wanted Kristoff to marry into the throne and they could control the whole country through him, being his technical "family". This movie wasn’t bad at all but I agree that once you watch it the first time it feels a bit dull but definitely not a bad movie. Personally I think Frozen 2 is better and a few other Disney movies.
Hans would murder Elsa (or try to and she'd accidentally expose her powers and run away), and he'd become either king or prince consort (depending on how Arendelle law works) with Anna becoming queen.
Frozen's a very cute movie, though a bit overrated in my opinion... ever since its Renaissance, every now and then, Disney comes out with a mid-to-cute movie that gets much more credit than it deserves: Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, this one, Encanto... WHO'S GONNA COME NEXT?!?!? 🤣
⛄ I've never understood why so many people find this to be a cut above all other movies of this genre. It's very well made and I enjoyed it, but it's no better or worse than most of the other Disney Princess movies. I genuinely believe that "Let It Go" is the most overrated song in the Disney canon. There's just not much of a melody there. The tune that I left the theater humming was "Love Is An Open Door," which is much more melodically interesting, but didn't get as much attention because it was partially sung by the villain.
yes, another singalong nobody asked for

@@ronfehr7899 Yes, I think they assumed that because it's the conventional path. That's where the story usually goes but then they flipped it.
I remember watching this in the cinema and the whole theatre gasped at Hans’s revelation. The most convincing ‘good guy,’ in a Disney film. I at least suspected that he loved her but she was in love with kristoff. Guess I was half right. 😅
Thank you for clarifying that by multiple times you mean more than once
One of my favorites movies
Plot twist... Elsa don´t have magic power. Its here Simps doing all the work. They are just totally invisible to Elsa but also Anna.
I think they’ll talk about it when frozen three comes out
Thanks for the video Sophie. :)
confused how you dont see these movies I remember watching this movie when it came out in theaters and I was 11 years old at that time
I love this movie idc what people think, I've loved Idina since I heard her in Wicked
You need to watch Frozen 2 😭✨
It happens to me the same with popular movies or other popular things. I get so tired of listen to people talk about those things that I loose all interest
i am in love with your reactions. I know dreamworks gives you issues, but i think shrek the musical is sepperate enough to not be problematic? plus shrek reanimated was great!
26:49 pause it, you will love it
I love this movie! I’ve been looking forward to this reaction!
you should watch frozen 2 next
Betrayal of the century?
Yeah, but have you seen Coco?
Christmas Movie Suggestions
Jingle All The Way
The Santa Clause
How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
Hope you feel better
This movie wasn’t bad at all but I agree that once you watch it the first time it feels a bit dull but definitely not a bad movie. Personally I think Frozen 2 is better and a few other Disney movies.
I know people hate Let it Go but I did a metal guitar instrumental version that turned out kinda sweet
For the next video what about "Bad Santa"?
a Nothing Burger hahaha!
Sophie, you should watch Jojo Rabbit (2019). It's an amazing funny movie.
How have you missed so many popular movies? :DD
but I’ve seen this one…
@@SophieLentshave you seen the second one?
Also, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas Sophie! 🎄💚
i love frozen
I recommend sleeping Beauty
Anna is so naive, what would happen if she actually married Hans though?
Hans would murder Elsa (or try to and she'd accidentally expose her powers and run away), and he'd become either king or prince consort (depending on how Arendelle law works) with Anna becoming queen.
Frozen is a good movie
You look like Amelia Sheppard from Greys Anatomy I ly 💕^o^
Could you react to How the Grinch stole Christmas next please?
Talladega Nights reaction PLEEEZE🙏🙏🙏🙏
What, you don't believe in love at first sight? That's sad.
Yeay react to Frozen 2 next pls
Never been this early
⛄ I've never understood why so many people find this to be a cut above all other movies of this genre. It's very well made and I enjoyed it, but it's no better or worse than most of the other Disney Princess movies. I genuinely believe that "Let It Go" is the most overrated song in the Disney canon. There's just not much of a melody there. The tune that I left the theater humming was "Love Is An Open Door," which is much more melodically interesting, but didn't get as much attention because it was partially sung by the villain.
I love you bruv lol
Wait… you’ve SEEN this movie before? WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH SOPHIE?!
I bet you didn't even heard about Disney before you started movie reactions
I just don’t watch animations 😅
