hI Mark I have earthrights in both hips I have been working on sum exercises on a mat finding it helps sum times still getting pain I have been referred for physiotherapy plus orthopedic help still sum time away finding the paine hard to cope with I will try to do sum of your exercises today see how I do don't have a chear will a sete do
Just come across these stretches/ exercises that you recommend, I unfortunately have a bursar that's very painful in the hip, my question is would these exercises irritate the bursar and cause more pain with the friction, thank you, Robbie
THESE MOVEMENTS ARE MEANT for those in starting stages of the disease. But the time you discover a radiologist report that says you have extreme arthritis of hip, you can't do any of this. Perhaps you should point this out....
I would like to know what helps I could get with my bone to bone hip O.A. Since December 2022 I was given 2x15 minutes conversations with a therapist, gave me ex.sheets and I was dismissed. Than via my GP I was promised 4 more session, so far I only got 2 since middle of last year. It feels like that NHS just want to refer to operation. I expressed several times to my GP that I am trying to avoid surgery and just help me now but it;s just not happening. I am doing Pilates, Dance/Zumba class for adults plus doing all the 4 movements from your video on a very regular basis. Must be some more substantial help available instead of just operation? What can I do and who can help me further? Thank you, Suzanne
What did u find out? I'm in the USA. 8 had my first injection from an orthopedic surgeon for hip osteoarthritis. I've already seen 1 "expert" telling u 2 do exercise X and someone else advising against doing that same movement =if u r trying 2 prevent surgery from becoming necessary. Just like all the conflicting diet advice! Annoying if this stuff is supposed 2 b EVIDENCE based as compared 2 opinion/theory/belief...
Hello Mark, Thanks for the detailed descriptions. I did these exercises today. Though I have been diagnosed with knee arthritis , I have a feeling that the arthritis has spread to the right hip and left shoulder. I do yoga too. I am 54 Years old, 80kg. 5.5" height. I have severe sciatica pain , knock knee , knee valgus in the right knee, and while walking my feet turn inwards so most times I loose balance while walking. Knees pop when I get up.. can u suggest a series of exercises please?
Just got diagnosed with combo of osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and bursitis- Senior Triple Play! Doc says PT is the answer. While waiting to begin my one-on-one therapy at a PT Center, I began to look up online. Overwhelmed by amount of different approaches. Found YOURS to be easiest follow. Thank you so much. How many times a day is optimal to do your routine? 1, 2, 3?
Hi Katrina, It's difficult to say as all cases are unique and we don't know the surgery you've had/are planning to have - however this page details the recovery timeline after a hip replacement which should provide an estimation: www.circlehealthgroup.co.uk/treatments/hip-replacement-surgery#aria-panel-8 For most cases, you can begin gentle exercises 2-6 weeks after surgery. Best wishes, Jordan
hello, I started experiencing groin pain on my left side. At the begining it was only periodically and when I made certain movements so I didn't think much of it believing it must be a pulled muscle. As time went by I started experiencing discomfort when walking so I decided to see my doctor. xrays of my hip revealed severe arthritis (I am 62). Would these exercises be good for groin pain as well?
Well done video with simple, straightforward explanations. Easy to grasp! Pat
Very good thank you.

Thank you, I am scheduled for THR and this helps. I want to be strong for surgery…in lots of pain but still able to walk most days.
Mark I noticed that you didn’t lift your heel up as you did the leg raises. Would that be a more advanced form of the exercise?
Excellent 🎉
Thank you. How soon after surgery can I do these exercises?

That's exactly what I am suffering with as well, but it is like a toothache all the way down my things, my knees, and into my shines.
Very useful exercises
