Dang, this dr really did an excellent job explaining this. How come I've not had any evaluation like this, only shots in knees. I've been suffering for over a year and my primary just prescribed Naproxen before I had enough and asked for a referral. agrrrr.... thanks so much for this thorough explanation.

I had a cortisone shot in my right groin. Helped for a month or so. It's been 3 months and I am do for another. Do you think a Chiropractor would help me instead os a pain specialist? I had my left hip replacement surgery done a little over 4 months ago. Arthritis

Im 19 I’ve been having problems since I was 14. I feel burning in my butt bone after prolong periods of inactivity and activity. The last couple years my hips and hip bone have been popping with small movements, so irritating when it happens. When it’s really bad I feel pain on my knees like big jolts and then I’ll also get them deep in the but bone when I move in a certain way, also almost always feel like my lower back need the mother of all cracks but won’t crack when I try. I think it maybe be OA but also maybe not since I’m young? Maybe it’s just bad posture and needing a back adjustment?

    • @jenniriley482

My surgeon did, and im in uk. He didnt d all of them, as my pain was through the roof at the slightest movement. Plus xrays confirmed severe OA. Ask to see a different surgeon. You are allowed.
If you need a hip replacement then you need one and that's it. Get yourself a new referral.
I've found my experience of nhs brilliant re my hip. Although they have heavily focused on my weight. With a bit of luck I could be having it done in jan/Feb 24.
