They killed Ratchet in the most brutal way ever, absolutely traumatized me when i was 9, couldnt rewatch the scene ever since

I definitely don't like this transformers film, same with the 5th one. Should have just stayed a trilogy
This one has great action and music, but it's so much of what you said and that's just not enjoyable; a movie after another (tons of ads, so much bad acting, weird unnecessary shots, bad acting and bad dialogue all around and the worst is the treatment of women...like MB casted up and coming stars that needed those roles in their career, so they wouldn't say anything against the scenes that were just wrong...you called those out xD). It's a movie best seen, back when it was released, now I have way higher standards, I guess.
I fell asleep in the cinema for the 5th one, bc the plot was so convoluted, boring, it was nonsense, had even worse acting and more ugh things.
Skip 5 and watch Bumblebee.

17 and 20 is not a bad age gap, especially if they knew each other from younger, but the red flag 🚩 is the fact that he has the Romeo & Juliet laws printed and LAMINATED. Like WTF??? Also, they could have easily just made her 18. Making her 17 on purpose is just messed up.

It had potential. It had almost the same tone of the first movie with more dark undertones but they drop it all in the end.

It's not like i was expecting a introspective character study from Bay but Tired of humanity and the civil war Prime should've stayed, should've at least destroyed the whole building.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet but when Optimus wakes up in the barn you can hear him telling Sam to run
Its flashback to trans2 before he dies he yells sam run, some ppl have forgotten it and take it as later event and its sam death confirmed, but thats wrong, it was just flashback

The samurai transformer is called drift and his story is so amazing he was a decepticon but after losing his honor or something he chose to never use a gun again and uses his swords and is now with the autobots

You can say what you want about this movie, but one thing is undenialable: Lockdown is one of the best villains in these movies.
I don't know why people hate on it, I loved it. It's like an episode of G1 that made it to the big screens. For instance, when Galvatron says "they're ruining everything", it's such a Megatron-thing to say.

And he escapes at the end saying "this isn't over." That's so G1. A couple goons die, Megatron escapes with a cheesy one liner
Honestly AoE feels more like G1, story wise, than any of the other movies
This is hands down one of my favorite and best and personally sits on par with the original transformers films with Shia. This film is honestly underrated and is shamed on by the majority of the transformers community but I still love it till this day.

This movie changed my life. I became obsessed with this franchise and this was technically the first BIG action movie I saw

Fun fact about the toys: the character designs in this movie were considered damn near impossible and a lot of the toys ended up having a lot of the vehicle parts hanging off the robot modes like shells (the robot designs here were nearly void of vehicle parts). Years later, third party companies like Unique Toys and Meta Gate made accurate transformable figures of them, although no one so far figured out how to make a good Crosshairs toy (green Autobot with the trench coat).

at this point Crosshairs' cape being an external accessory wouldnt bug me at all.
I’m hoping 2014 camero bumblebee is tackled by some company, and for Crosshairs I feel like the trench coat gimmick could be replicated somehow but it should probably be an accessory

Growing up is realizing LockDown is actually a W villain
"That is why I have no fear!!", Is hands down the hardest villain reply.
Watching this with Dark of the moon fresh in your mind actually makes the plot of this so much better. Because, now I'm going to base my next point on the motivation of one character as an example. So bare with me.
Imagine your sister is killed in the battle of Chicago. Then you find out the so called heros could've fought back at any time, and possibly saved her. But instead they decided to fake their deaths and let the enemy attack the city. Just to prove a point. I imagine you'd be pretty pissed. Now imagine an entire city feeling that way. Now the plot Transformers being hunted by humans makes a lot more sense.

This movie has some sick shots and action sequences.
Fun fact, the dinosaur transformers are called dinbots (basically dinosaur autobots) in the 80’s transformers G1 show (which is waay better then the Michael bay movies since the show doesn’t involve humans being the main characters) there’s an autobot named wheeljack that created the dinobots
As someone who lives in HK, the geographical liberties taken with this film is the funniest thing ever. I can suspend my belief for the drive from Beijing to HK, but that bit where the ship gets damaged and crash lands at some rock monument 1000 miles away ... comedic gold. Also Chicago buildings magically showing up in HK XD

Stanley Tucci is absolutely GOLD in this movie, he’s got most of my favorite moments in this, namely his meltdown at 32:59
The creators of the transformers are the Quintessons. They're a techno-organic squid-like race. You see one of them masquerading as a prime in the next movie named Quintessa.
It’s wild how good this looks after years, like how much time did the VFX CHI team spend on this. & the cartoons still have some of the best stories to me they focus too much on the humans for theses
Looking at all the movies, I think this one has the worst CGI. But it isn't bad though. It's still excellent, but I find it doesn't look as good as the others. Even though I hate TLK, it probably has the best CGI.

This is probably my second favourite TF movie. It’s not only bad ass but it also has a good plot. I wish we had more Lucas tho :(
I really dislike the style of the transformers from this movie onwards. But I respect you giving it a chance. The Bumblebee movie brings it back around in full swing.

The upcoming Transformers is gonna be great (i hope) but looking at what we have been given i have hope.
The designs in these movies look 10X cooler than what they do in bumblebee, stop dwelling on the g1 blocky look of transformers.

What always gets me is that Tucci’s character is like “I don’t understand! I’m using code from Megatron’s head and I basically named the transformer after him by calling him Galvatron. WHY IS HE COMING OUT LIKE MEGATRON?!?”

Watched this one 3/4 times in cinema back in 2014; it was a gift to my already-loving Bayformers self! Wasn't too much of a fan of the newer humanoid-like designs though. Optimus from movies 1, 2, 3 and the beginning of 4 was my favourite movie design. So perfect
He lost it when he saw this movie had a $210, million budget. Imagine a heart attack he would have when he finds out that avengers endgame had like a $350 million budget.

Fun fact: when the Chevy Sonic drops off the factory floor onto the ramp it was Rob Dyrdek driving. 11:51 is a “Rally Fighter” the company built 150 of them as Rear wheel drive sake rally rule cars that are street legal. This one is exactly how they sold them but for one of the fast and furious movies they made a 4 wheel drive version and put the Supercharged 650hp LSA v8 in it. Such a cool vehicle!!! (The standard comes with the 405 hp c6 Ls v8. So cool!
From seeing your reaction to the Revenge of The Fallen, as well as this reaction, I can tell that you won't like most of the 5th entry. However, unlike the Revenge of The Fallen, during the final battle, in each scene, the Autobots actually make progress towards their goal. Then in the Revenge of The Fallen, most of the final battle is just explosions and useless scenes.

I'm so happy you dug this one. I love it. Your reaction to the awesomeness of the Dinobots was maybe my favorite thing I've ever seen on any of your reactions. Grimlock (the T-Rex) is my second favorite Transformer. Second only to Optimus. And as much as I love this movie, this doesn't even do the Dinobots justice. In the movie series I think they were supposed to be the guardians of the All-Spark and apparently crash landed with it on Earth in the prehistoric age. Which is why they turn into dinosaurs. They were the last things they saw before Lockdown captured them. Which is awesome so, of course that ended up on the cutting room floor. They're the one Generation 1 sub group that could just headline their own film, full stop. The sequel to this was a MASSIVE missed opportunity with regards to them. I think you need to watch Transformers The Movie from 1986. It would put a bunch of this into perspective. And then you can understand Unicron. Who is by far the most existentially terrifying evil Transformer. I'm not even sure he's a Decepticon. He just.....IS..
I went and saw this in 3D when it first came out, lets's just say it made Grimlock(T-rex) and the others look 10x cooler.

You should react to Transformers g1 series. If you were to react to the series, do seasons 1 and 2 then the g1 movie because it takes place 20 years after seasons 1-2 then after that, 3-4 which resumes after the movie. I don't think no RUclipsr has even reacted to the g1 Transformers? It would be interesting to see the reactions and compare them to Bays movies and see how different the two are.
I personally like Galvatron and also the Megatron he becomes.

Funny you should say that, the truck he was modeled after at the start of the movie was a nod to the ORIGINAL Optimus prime from the 1980's he was a red truck with the design of the one we saw in the beginning

35:18 Cage homes are quite common in Hong Kong which is where the final battle takes place. Housing in Hong Kong is crazy expensive so a lot of people live in places called “cage homes” which are cheaper to live in than full sized apartments.

Yeah I'm not afraid to admit this is my favorite transformers movie that micheal bay made
If your love for TF has been rekindled, maybe you could try TF Prime? 🤔 Not even for reactions, but since it's considered one of the best TF productions, then maybe just for personal fun. It has a good soundtrack and amazing voice acting, is quite funny, and hands down its Decepticons are the best.
My favorite transformer from this film is definitely Lockdown, followed by Optimus and Hound

I’m honestly still a little upset that they made us notice that Galvatron never died and would “meet again” but was never seen in The Last Night, and now the movie franchise has been reset (or the bumblebee stuff is a prequel) with completely new human characters and transformers, besides Bee and Prime, I wish they did more with Galvatron, he was honestly a good transformer villain
