Felt like i should inform you Seb, that there is in fact, 1 more theatrical Transformers movie
The Transformers: The Movie
It was released in 1986 and explains what happened in between seasons 2 and 3 of the very first Transformers cartoon.
The main antagonist, is a Planet Eater, who was (poorly) set up for in The Last Knight, and was the final role of acclaimed actor Orson Wells.
I don't really want to give away more than that though, because i for one, want to see your unfiltered reactions to it.

So just a bit of backstory about this movie's development: Originally it meant to be a prequel to the Bayformer universe and would have involved Bumblebee fighting nazis in WW2. They even had a bit where you would have seen the frozen Megatron from the first movie. However, with the Bayformers earning less and less money with each movie, they decided to pivot. Instead, they turned it into a full-on reboot of the series with Bay being the producer. The previous designs would be scrapped and instead replaced with more faithful designs similar to their G1 appearances (except for Bee who retained his appearance from the Bayformers). I'm not sure if this is true or just fan speculation, but it's been said there was originally going to be more scenes set on Cybertron.

@@-Antagonist It's not confusing. There's nothing about it that could indicate them being set in the same universe. It's pretty clear Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts are set in their own universe separate from the Bayverse. I would be surprised if they were somehow connected.

Meanwhile in TF 3, the humans are taking out multiple deceptions, shoot down some of the spaceships, and land a critical hit in Sentinel Prime. But they do make dumb ass decisions
I don’t remember if they ever make it clear in the movies but Optimus and Megatron are brothers, who originally rebelled together against the Primes, who ruled and enslaved cybertron. They had the same goal but eventually became mortal enemies when Megatron started becoming tyrannical and violent while Optimus wanted to free Cybertron and leave it in peace. So the auto bots and deceptions were formed
Fun Fact at 17:54 the Scientist man says in the full film "Its like a web of Information" or something like that. *This implies that the Decepticons showed American's the concept, that would lead to the Internet.*
it just came to me now, when bee bumped charlie with his door at the one scene and bee started playing the song you got the touch. it brings back G1 memories for me

Bumblebee isn't just my favorite Transformers movie, it's one of my favorite movies of all time.

Last I recall from my time in Army, we did not have vehicles equipped with giant harpoons just ready to go. But maybe it was different in the 80s.

I think what i loved about this movie most was they actually made the robots have a role. I mean its called Transformers! not side human characters with robots in the background. I mean in The Last Knight, they gave that big Decepticon Crew intro, then killed them all off 5 minutes later. Give people what they want and thats Robots with personality and a story.
I like the old look but its sad it isnt more explosions but atleast an transformers movie so makes it 10/10

Personally and I know it’s not really popular but I really don’t think the transformer designs in this movie mold well into live action. I know they are close to originals and stuff but I don’t think they look as great. I like the rugged look of the first 2 films of the bayverse ones where they look more beat up and not so rounded. For sone reason tho I love the look of the transformers in rise of the beast even tho they look damn near the same

I LOVE the G1 designs in this. They looks so good and so close to the originals. I’d watch a whole movie around that opening sequence of cgi robots.

This is what I was hoping for in the first movie, not the Garbagebots we got. And the story was decent too.
These aren’t really G1 it’s more of a middle ground between G1 and Michael bay designs which is honestly how I think it should be even though I thought most of the Michael bay decepticons looked cooler(Blackout my beloved)
Fun fact about the movie Bumblebee was an actual model that was built for Hailee to act alongside so all the scenes where she touches his face and hugs him were done with a real model of bee

I sense an old fart stock in the 80's that only seen that transformers cartoon in the 80's and never seen any other transformer media and other series where they already evolve and change from there cube as look.
By far and away the best designs of any live action Transformers movie. I also think this film has the best action compared to the Bay films. Nice wide shots, little shakey cam, can actually tell what’s going on, and Transformers actually….transforming lol.
and the beautiful mma-style choreography for the last fight, combined with them actually using the transforming ability in the fight.
ironic, the designs look less like they transform compared to the first 3 movies, too many rounded parts and lack of vehicle kibble other than doors, wheels and car fronts
@@orhandalegend wow I completely disagree. These transformations are wayyy more smooth and comprehensible. I do think Bayformers had largely better sound design which made for more epic transformations, but I definitely visually interpreted this movies transformations more.
@@loomynarty4099 smoothness WAS the problem for the designs, its too smooth that the parts just phase out of existence and new parts return, atleast the bayverse transformations were rough so they could hide more to make a more legitamate animation
@@orhandalegend because that's there cybertron look they don't really have that in there standard forms also these g1 designs already had working transformation designs that weren't shown but were used for toys such as shock wave despite not looking like it can transform into a futuristic tank
For the people who didn’t know, the voice of Bumblee is Dylan O’Brien who plays Thomas in the Maze Runner series and Stiles Stilinski in Teen Wolf!!!
It is really nice to see that the Transformers have fight choreographies, makes the battles more interesting and adds some realism to it

The reason I loved this film the most (aside from the first Bay film which was awesome for other reasons), is that the Transformers looked similar to the original toys I used to have back in the 80's, where they were mostly made of metal and were quite hefty.
This movie was set a year after the actual release of the Transformers animated movie (with a fantastic theme song). The song that briefly played on the beach when Bee opened his front door was from that. But yeah, I've yet to even tolerate a full watch of The Last Knight, but Bumblebee is great.
Although I do think Bumblebee is a very good movie, I kinda believe that The Last Knight was made terribly in order to make Bumblebee look even better by comparison lol

Shockwave has the best Decepticon design in my opinion, meanwhile Dropkick is just badass
This movie is fantastic, only thing that I don’t like is how they treated Peter Cullen (the voice of Optimus Prime). He’s a legendary voice actor, iconic, and a very nice guy. But when it came time to film this movie they didn’t want to pay him for the whole production so instead the hired an impersonator and used his facial movements to animate Optimus Prime’s mask and face, and they brought in Peter at the very end of production to essentially dub over the previous work so that they barely had to pay him. It’s pretty messed up, that’s why I’m happy he got lots more lines and better treatment in Transformers Rise of the Beast
The way Charlie finds Bumblebee in the junk yard is reminiscent of the very first Transformers story in which a character called Buster Witwicky finds a injured Bumblebee and takes him home to be repaired in the first few issues of the Marvel Transformers comic in 1984.

This guy at 12:53 it's acutally a young Agent Simmons from the Bay movies. Really neat.
Also, the movie explains how internet was born in that universe with the scene of the laboratory and the two Decepticons connecting.
I actually prefer transformers prime over G1 actually. They keep the action from the movies and development great characters and great storytelling. I don't really think TFP is kiddy at all it is like darker and more serious than any other cartoon series.
This movie made a bunch of OG fans proud, for once I knew who the Decepticons and Autobots were. I’m also so happy seeing Seb enjoy a Transformers movie.

I haven't heard a lot of people say this, but this Bumblebee reminds me a lot of Baymax.
I absolutely loved this movie, there’s almost nothing wrong with it except for a few things. One of them being the villains, they’re nowhere near as good as megatron or sentinel prime but overall I enjoyed it a lot, definitely in my top 3 transformers films
Seeing this movie made me feel refreshed after all the Transformers movies that kept trying to one up each other lol and now I'm really digging the OG Designs because of this movie now too

This is a good movie! Love every minute of it, and this is exactly what the Transformers movies should have been.
I swear if they brought Stan bush’s transformers music back it would feel like such nostalgia, I loved when they did it in this movie even if it was just a cameo thing regardless I wish they would use it more often.

Personally, I didn’t really get to hype behind this movie I really enjoyed how they went back to the older 80s style designs and looks for the transformers but other than that I can’t get over this movie and how much it feels like a step down from a PG-13 movie to a PG movie like the humans with guns in this movie don’t even have guns. They have paintball guns I not a big fan of the comedy in this movie and some of the human characters are just kinda boring in my opinion. There’s no way the younger characters of the bumblebee movie hold up to Shia LaBeouf’s Sam he was the peak of the series and I don’t think we’re gonna be able to get better for a human character in the transformers movies. All they had to do with this movie was use the retro styling, but also play into the age range of the people who would actually fucking remember the retro styling and I was born 2001 and I cannot remember the retro styling so I want to know why did they take this movie and turn it into a children’s movie because it feels like a children’s movie compared to the five Michael bay transformers movies

this movie is NOT a prequel. it was well established that Bay bee was in ww2 and had his voice box cut out by megatron, not blitzwing. this was going to be a prequel, but it was changed to be the start of something new, these changes are certainly for the better.
This is my favorite Transformers movie. It's not as busy as the Bay films; the designs and transformations are more simple, there's no explosions every time the Transformers move, and the fights are not needlessly elaborate.
To answer your question, there is a Transformers 3-D ride at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.
That and its adjacent park Islands of Adventure are also where you'll find The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which is AMAZING.

As much as I appreciate the Bayverse, rebooting the series is a good idea for the franchise in general, fewer and fewer people were spending money to watch the Michael Bays version of Transformers, which was an indication that people were fatigued of the transformers, and both Hasbro and Paramount had to change something to keep the franchise healthy and moving forward. Rebooting it and giving the project of the next movie to a different person's hands can give nostalgia, to current, and casual fans a new experience and perspective towards the franchise.

All i said was no. I don't think G1 derived design's look as good when in Live action and interacting with real actors and environment's. Still like G1 and other design's, just not in live action, they look silly imo

initially i didn't like this movie, i even walked out of it in a cinema, but it grew on me. it's heartfelt and has some great performances
My favourite one by far, closest to the Cartoon and that opening sequence alone is amazing. Loved how they got that 80's fantasy sci-fi tone just right.
Gets better on repeat viewings whereas the Michael Bay movies become more cheesy and migraine inducing.

Really good prequel story, Cybertron and the designs of the auto-bots and Decepticons was just like the cartoon!, the follow-up to this is "Rise of the beasts " which is set a few year's after this one. Great Reaction as always. 👍🇬🇧
