Well done! As usual, I very much enjoyed this trip with you two. The transition from the airport curb, checking in, and the huge lounge shower room, where you emerged very refreshed. The seats on the flight in front of you had a lot of legroom since they were exit row, but they certainly reclined into your space.

Great video Jayden. I was in Rome last year in August and stayed just around the corner from the Trevi Fountain. I visited all the places on your video. I had 6days in Rome then onto Sorrento Capri and Amalfi Coast.
"Turkish Delight" (sic!) at its best. 😉 It is a pleasure to watch your videos. For a European it is quite fascinating, to get an Asian/Australian perspective of Rome.

Loving the city vlogs.
Don't do what's the Roman do. It's clever to hang around the city early in the morning where you can avoid the crowd & the chaotic traffic. You can also get the views that few were able to capture. As always, early bird catches the worms.

I appreciate the video Jayden. Visiting Rome in January means you avoid the horrific tourist overcrowding in the summer months. Wise choice of hotel for its location. As for single terminal airports the best example in Europe is Amsterdam Schiphol. It's been one terminal since today's terminal (expanded over the years) opened in 1967. Problem with Schiphol's single terminal is that it's now too large for *most* easy flight transfers. Yes, before the pandemic, Schiphol planned a second terminal but that's now been put on the back burner with Netherlands' eco policies which seek to reduce aviation expansion.

Amsterdam also has a single terminal. They need to bring back the Lego movie safety video. I loved that. Rome is a very beutiful city. It is one of the many gems of southern Europe.
oh yes they have several ‘terminals’ or check in halls but then one big concourse. I got confused when I was there last week.
Hamad International Airport in Doha also only has a single terminal.

Good stuff. I traveled on Turkish airlines from the UK to Istanbul. The airport is enormous, unlike you the arrival gate was at the end of the terminal. I certainly got my 10 thousand steps in that day. Also I sat in the same spot in the departure lounge that you guys did but it was absolutely PACKED. Rome looked amazing. Very professional camera work.

Yes, interior definitely needs an upgrade. I noticed how random the headrests were between red and black. Oh, on behalf of 6'4" thanks for taking the shower upon arrival in IST. 😅😅😅
haha yes! Virgin Australia too with the purple, black and grey headrests. Can't figure out the pattern
If your still in Roma and have time check out the Trastevere area. Go via the Castel Sant'angelo (beautiful) and over the river Tiber.
Great video Jayden! Good to see you had a good flight. I flew Turkish airlines last year in September on a return flight from KUL to LUX and had a very disappointing experience. Very rude staff, disappointing food on 2/4 flights and overbooked flight causing us to be put onto standby seats. This has unfortunately deterred me from flying them again.
sorry to hear that Liam! Standby is sooo stressful, they should've given you a confirmed seat at least for bumping you off!!
@@JaydenWongthanks, we did luckily get onto the flight as they prioritized families. Though to correct myself, I don’t really think it was an overbooking issue as my mum checked-in early the night before but according to the airport staff we did not have a ticket on this flight and they didn’t believe us until we showed them our confirmed tickets on the app😂. But yeah definitely was stressful as I was traveling with 5 other family members who had no problem.

You have omitted the best economy service in Europe which is Aegean Airlines. Furthermore Turkey is not European, it is an Arabic country and best considered part of the middle east.
Not sure about Finnair to be honest. AY is BoB (unlike TK) and some of its services have been cut back because, as you know, its entire business plan has been disrupted by the Russian overflying ban.
I shouldn't have watched your Rome vlog. It made me so desperate to go back there again after very many years. Even the crumpled cars were nostalgic. 2 cities never to contemplate driving in are Rome and Manila 😆

That must be a standard meal on TK short haul. I must have seen that exact same pasta dish in two other TK economy reviews. Granted, both flights were to Italy so that could explain why.
Indeed,
For short flights in economy class they have always 3 or 4 kind of dishes in veggie or meat combination with pasta, rice and Turkish traditional ricepes.
They never dissappoint with their service on board either on business or on economy class.

Impressive video and for Turkish Airlines meal it's made by DoCo which explains the high quality of meal for both short and long haul flights. From what I can see you started in Sydney then went to Istanbul via HKG🇭🇰 & CEB/MNL🇵🇭. Another airport that has a single terminal is Doha Hamad. I wonder what Lounge in East Asia can rival Turkish Airlines lounges in Istanbul & in flight meals by DoCo? If you look up the plane names for Turkish Airlines Fleet these are either cities or Provinces of Turkey

Try the regional train to Rome, you get different stations compared to Termini, like Trastevere, Ostiense, etc. it’s €8.
we did that on the way back to the airport :) worth the slight detour
